Galactic Conflict: I Restore the Glory of Humanity

Chapter 1006: Chaos Iron Warrior's Massacre

On the edge of the dark side of the empire, a planet called Casadian III is in an unprecedented crisis.

The planet was once an important industrial hub of the Empire, with strong fortifications and a large Astra Militarum garrison.

Today, however, its fate will be rewritten - Perturabo and his Iron Warriors have arrived with one goal: to destroy the planet once and for all and lure the Primarch of the Imperium into a death trap.

Perturabo's fleet was torn from the Warp, and the black void was dyed blood red by the vortex of Chaos energy.

The Iron Warriors' flagship was like a moving fortress, slowly moving towards the orbit of Casadian III.

Perturabo stood on the bridge, a cruel light flashing in his cold mechanical eyes.

His voice echoed across the fleet through the comms: "Cassadian III will be our prey. Destroy its defenses, slaughter its defenders, and show the Imperial cowards that those who defy the Iron Warriors will be destroyed."

Following his orders, the Iron Warriors' fleet moved into action.

The orbital bombardment batteries were aimed at the fortifications on the surface of the planet, and dense artillery fire poured down like a rainstorm.

Countless huge craters were blown out on the surface of the planet, and flames and thick smoke rose into the sky, as if the entrance to hell had been opened.

The Iron Warriors excel at siege warfare. Their tactics are simple but brutal: use heavy firepower to tear through the enemy's defenses, and then use armored forces to crush all resistance.

Under the command of Perturabo, the Iron Warriors' siege forces were quickly deployed.

The first is the heavy artillery position. Dozens of giant siege cannons were set up in the planet's orbit, and their shells were enough to penetrate the strongest shields and walls.

Every time a shell landed, it caused a small earthquake, blowing the Empire's defenses apart.

At the same time, the Iron Warriors' armored forces began to land.

Thousands of Chaos Land Raiders, Rhino Transports and Predator Tanks rushed out of the airdrop bays, their armor covered with Chaos runes and spikes, the roar of their engines like the roar of wild beasts.

These steel behemoths rampaged across the battlefield, crushing the Astra Militarum's defenses into pieces.

The Iron Warriors' airdrop tactic is their signature method of siege warfare.

Under the cover of heavy firepower and armored forces, hundreds of airdrop capsules roared down from orbit like a meteor shower of death.

Each airdrop pod was loaded with ten fully-armed Iron Warriors, their power armor covered in bullet holes and blood, their bolters and chainswords thirsty for life.

The moment the airdrop pod crashed into the ground, the hatch burst open and the Space Marines of the Iron Warriors Legion rushed out like demons.

Their tactics are ruthless and efficient: suppressing the enemy with bolters before delivering close-range slaughter with chainswords and power axes.

The soldiers of the Astra Militarum were simply unable to withstand such an attack, and their defenses collapsed in an instant.

Before the battle began, Perturabo had already issued the final order to his officers: If you fail to complete the task, the punishment of eleven lashes will fall on you.

This cruel punishment made the officers of the Iron Warriors dare not slack off at all. They had to complete the task with the fastest speed and the most ruthless means, otherwise only death would await them.

Under the attack of the Iron Warriors, the soldiers of the Astra Militarum fell into deep despair.

A young Astra Militarum soldier hid behind a bunker, his laser rifle tightly grasped in his hands, but his fingers were shaking.

His comrades fell one after another, and the blood stained the ground red. He looked up at the sky and saw countless airdrop pods whizzing down, like messengers of death. "We can't stop them at all..."

He murmured to himself, his eyes filled with fear and helplessness. He knew that this battle was doomed to fail, and he and his comrades were just victims of the Iron Warriors' brutal tactics.

In the city ruins of Casadian III, the battle entered its most brutal stage - street fighting.

The remnants of the Astra Militarum retreated deeper into the city, using the narrow streets, shattered buildings and underground passages to engage the Iron Warriors in a desperate struggle.

Although they knew that the hope of victory was slim, every Astra Militarum soldier understood that their mission was to buy time for the Empire, even at the cost of their own lives to delay the advance of the Iron Warriors.

The commander of the Astra Militarum, an elderly colonel, stood in a half-ruined command tower and issued his final orders to his troops through the communicator: "Hold every inch of the ground! Let these traitors pay the price for their arrogance!"

The heavy weapons units of the Astra Militarum were deployed in key locations.

Heavy bolters, laser turrets, and missile launchers were hidden among the ruins, pointed at every street the Iron Warriors might attack.

The soldiers hid behind the bunkers, holding melta guns, plasma weapons and heavy bolters in their hands. Their faces were full of fatigue, but their eyes were burning with the last fighting spirit.

As the Iron Warriors' armoured units attempted to advance, the Astra Militarum's heavy weapons opened fire.

The blazing beam from the laser cannon pierced through the armor of a Marauder tank, blasting it into a fireball.

The high-temperature rays from the melta gun instantly vaporized several charging Iron Warriors, leaving only melted metal and charred debris on the ground.

However, this counterattack was short-lived. The Iron Warriors quickly adjusted their tactics and used heavy firepower and airdrop units to suppress the Astra Militarum's firepower points.

At this time, the Iron Warriors' tactics remained ruthless and efficient.

Their heavily armed forces advanced through the streets, leaving explosions and death with every step.

The Chaos Marauder tanks pounded the Astra Militarum bunker with their main guns, reducing the entire structure to rubble.

The Iron Warriors were divided into small teams, using the powerful protection and firepower advantages of power armor to clear out the Astra Militarum's resistance points one by one.

In a narrow street, five Astra Militarum troopers attempt to hold back a squad of Iron Warriors with their heavy bolters.

Their firepower briefly suppressed the enemy, but soon a rocket came from a distance and blew their bunker to pieces.

The Iron Warriors rushed forward, hacking the surviving Astra Militarum soldiers to pieces with chainswords and power axes.

Blood and body parts covered the ground, but the Iron Warriors did not stop for a moment.

Although the Astra Militarum tried their best, their resistance seemed so powerless in front of the Iron Warriors.

The loss ratio was close to 1500 to 1, meaning that for every Iron Warrior killed, the Astra Militarum lost 1500 lives.

An Astra Militarum soldier detonates a melta bomb before dying, blowing an Iron Warrior to pieces.

Another soldier pierced through the power armor of an Iron Warrior with a plasma pistol, but was quickly riddled with bullets by his comrades.

The death of each Astra Militarum soldier is insignificant, but their sacrifice delays the advance of the Iron Warriors bit by bit.

Perturabo stood on a high tower, overlooking the entire battlefield, his mechanical eyes flashing with a cold light, as if all this was just a game that had been predetermined.

His officers reported the battle situation to him, but he just nodded coldly, as if the resistance of the Astra Militarum was not worth mentioning at all.

“Keep pushing forward,”

He said, "Don't waste time. If you fail to complete the task, the punishment of eleven lashes will come as scheduled." There was no emotion in his voice, only cold command.

In the heart of the city, the last line of defense of the Astra Militarum is crumbling.

Hundreds of soldiers using heavy weaponry and explosives attempted to stop the Iron Warriors' advance, but their efforts were in vain.

The Iron Warriors reaped lives like the gods of death. Their power armor was covered with blood and flesh, but the weapons in their hands were still cold and ruthless.

An Astra Militarum soldier whispered a prayer before dying: "For the Emperor..."

But his voice was soon drowned out by the sound of explosions. The Iron Warriors' banner was raised over the ruins, announcing the fall of the planet.
