Harry Potter: The Legend of Demigods

Chapter 95 Infernal Affairs

Anakin felt as if the air was condensing, and the world around him seemed to become gray and dull, leaving only Voldemort's cold eyes shining. Anakin felt an invisible pressure, as if the whole world was leaning against him. His fingers unconsciously clenched tighter, and the chill from between the wands made his heart tremble. He knew this was a crucial decision and a life-or-death gamble. The pressure became stronger and stronger, and his heartbeat became faster.

"I...I need time to think about it." Anakin finally spoke, his voice trembling. His eyes flickered between Voldemort and Quirrell, trying to find a glimmer of hope.

Voldemort's eyes flashed with displeasure, but then he regained his composure. "Time, Mr. Wilson, is a luxury. But I'll give you a little, but don't betray my patience."

"But...but I am a Muggle-born, don't Death Eaters have blood supremacy?" Anakin said carefully, not to let the noseless monster kill him, but so that he would not doubt his motives. After all, isn't it funny that a Muggle-born wizard suddenly wants to join a blood-first group? Who would believe he meant it?

"Mr. Wilson, I remember that you are an orphan, which means your parents could be anyone. And a talented student like you must have a noble bloodline, which means you cannot be a filthy Mudblood." Voldemort's words Full of temptation, as tempting as a poisonous snake.

Sure enough, a certain mixed-race socket didn't care about blood, only the ability of his subordinates.

"I choose..." Thousands of thoughts flashed through Anakin's mind. He remembered his previous plan, took a deep breath, and finally made up his mind.

"I do...Master." Anakin's voice resounded in the oppressive air. Although his voice was soft, it was full of determination. "But, Master... now that I am still a student at Hogwarts, why not give me a task, and then please grant me the Death Eater mark after I complete it."

Anakin didn't want to be kidnapped on a pirate ship, not to mention, if he didn't have a mark, how could the Ministry of Magic convict Anakin?

Infernal Affairs officially begins!

A cold light flashed in Voldemort's eyes, and a smile of successful conspiracy appeared on the corner of his mouth. "Mr. Wilson, you are a smart man. Well, I agree to your request. After you complete the task, I will personally give you the mark of the Death Eater and make you my right-hand man."

Voldemort closed his eyes and his breathing gradually became lighter. Quirrell gasped, seeming to be in particular pain, and tied the turban back up. Anakin's heart sank, knowing that he might have just dodged the bullet for a while. This is a bet of life and death, and an opportunity that only belongs to Anakin. He secretly swore in his heart that no matter what, he would survive and protect the people he cared about.

"Mr. Wilson, your task is very simple. Stay with Harry Potter and tell the master about him every week." Quirrell ordered.

Anakin once again glanced at the moonlight shining through the layers of leaves, and followed Quirrell without hesitation into the Forbidden Forest...

......

Sunday morning, Great Hall.

Anakin sat in his seat and ate his breakfast in silence. He didn't dare reveal any information to the people around him, especially when Voldemort was still at Hogwarts. Thinking about the next mission, he knew it would be a dangerous and lonely journey, but he was ready. Life and death can only depend on himself.

"Anakin, are you okay?" Ron asked carelessly, with a piece of butter bread stuffed in his mouth.

Anakin tried his best to smile, "It's okay, I just studied late in the library last night and was a little tired."

Hermione put down the book in her hand and looked at Anakin with concern, "You do seem to have something wrong. Did something happen?"

"It's nothing really, I'm just under a lot of pressure from school, so I might need a break." Anakin answered lightly, trying not to let his friends notice the heavy burden on his mind.

Harry glanced at Anakin and seemed to notice something unusual. He finally sighed: "Anakin...Have you and Hagrid learned anything? Are you free today? How about we come together?" Go encourage Professor Quirrell, he was threatened by Snape, I'm afraid...Anakin, why are you looking at me like this?" Harry asked after seeing Anakin's expression.

Of course I feel strange. To comfort the man who wanted to steal the Philosopher's Stone, and stop him in order to prevent Snape from succeeding? It’s really yours!

Anakin took a deep breath, feeling the concern from his friends. He knew that he couldn't hide too much anymore, but he couldn't tell them everything, at least he couldn't let them get involved in this danger.

"Well, let's put it this way...I saw the Hippogriff, and Hagrid asked me to feed it." After seeing Hermione's horrified expression, Anakin quickly said: "Don't worry , Hagrid is also beside me. And as long as I follow the rules Hagrid told me, I will definitely not be hurt." Anakin finished the last bite of bread in his hand and stood up.

"I'm going back to the lounge first. I'll see you later," Anakin said.

......

Six thirty in the evening, corridor, around the Transfiguration classroom

The stone walls on both sides of the corridor reflected faint lights. Even though the school had entered night, it was still full of life. Anakin looked around in the corridor on the first floor.

Ancient oil lamps were hung on the stone walls on both sides, and the weak firelight cast mottled shadows on the walls. Anakin walked slowly down the corridor, carefully observing the door numbers of each classroom.

"Let me see...the empty classroom, the Transfiguration classroom, the empty classroom, the utility room, the staff room..." Anakin muttered to himself, closing the door again. A wooden classroom door. "There aren't any suitable classrooms here?"

Anakin walked through another door, pushed it open slightly, and peeked inside. Well, it's another empty classroom. Hogwarts is really big!

He continued walking, his footsteps making faint sounds on the wooden floor. Along the way, historic oil paintings hang on the walls beside classroom doors, depicting former headmasters, famous wizards and magical creatures. The characters in the painting seem to be waking up in a quiet night. Their eyes seem to be staring at Anakin, as if they know the dilemma he is facing.

Among them, there was a painting that caught Anakin's attention. In the picture, a strange copper key is suspended in the air. It has the same basic style as other ancient brass keys in the magic world, but its tooth pattern is extremely unique and full of complex runes and patterns. Although the shape of this key is similar to other brass keys, the number of runes and the complexity of the decoration make it stand out.

Suddenly, his eyes stopped on a slightly ordinary door number, with a trace of light coming from the crack of the door. Look carefully at the writing on the sign: "Classroom-1T"

Anakin felt a sense of joy in his heart, and walked quickly towards the door. The door was locked, with an obvious keyhole on it.

"No, you still have to open the lock?" Anakin complained. He raised his head and suddenly discovered the painting of keys again.
