Chapter 49 Peter Pettigrew

Underground at Hogwarts, the lights in the corridors are dim. The faint scent of roses drifts away.

"dong dong"

There was a knock on the door of the Slytherin cellar, and a girl whose face could not be seen clearly stood there with a fat mouse at her feet, ready to offer a gift to the greatest snake king.

There was a sound from inside the door, and then a pale and slender hand slowly opened the door.

"I think now is the time when you are not allowed to go out. I hope you have something very important to disturb you, your hard-working professor." Professor Snape looked quite tired with his greasy hair stuck to his cheeks.

Lilith smelled the bitter taste of narcissus root powder and mugwort infusion. It's the Water of Life and Death, a powerful sleeping pill.

The professor was brewing the potion again, but this time it seemed that he was brewing it for himself.

"Sir." Lilith raised her head, hooked her fingers lightly, and picked up a fat mouse. "I just can't wait and want to give you a gift."

Snape frowned and looked at the bald mouse in Lilith's hands with a hemp rope tied around its neck. He twitched the corners of his mouth mockingly, and the venom in his mouth was ready to go out.

"An Animagus, or someone you know from Si'an. I don't know if you like it or not." Lilith's lips formed a sweet arc.

This made Professor Snape swallow his words. He stared at the mouse Lilith was holding, and he felt that it did seem a bit familiar. Then he stepped back and allowed Lilith to enter his territory.

Lilith threw the mouse casually on the ground. Snape frowned. He finally determined why he felt familiar. Isn't this mouse Ron Weasley's pet?

"A pet rat." Snape stared at the unconscious rat on the ground, his mind filled with conspiracy theories.

He dug out a bottle of potion from the corner. This was a very unpopular potion. Its only function was to release others from their Animagus form.

Give the potion to the rats on the ground. The mouse gradually deformed and turned into an ugly, bald, fat middle-aged man.

The rope around his neck strangled his neck, which made Peter Pettigrew's face turn red and he was suffocated. The sharp nails of his ten fingers scratched his neck desperately.

"Pettigrew...Peter..." Snape looked at him gloomily, pointing his wand at the rope around his neck. The rope snapped immediately.

Lilith walked towards the door to prevent Peter Pettigrew from escaping.

"Aren't you already dead?" Snape grabbed his collar.

Peter Pettigrew's thoughts raced. It was Sirius who betrayed James and Lily. I was just too scared, so I hid and acted like a mouse...

But when he opened his mouth, he told the truth, "Of course I have to pretend to be dead. Voldemort is too scary. I told him where James is. If Sirius finds out that I am still alive, he will definitely kill me!"

"Oh, God." Peter covered his mouth and saw Snape's gloomy expression.

"I know that you are also Voldemort's subordinate. We are the same..."

"It's you!" Snape's eyes were scarlet, his wand pressed against Pettigrew's neck, his fingers trembling with anger. "It turns out the secret keeper is you!"

"Come on, Snape, I know we're all the same," Peter piped up.

"Who is like you!" Lilith stepped on Peter Pettigrew's right leg, making a clicking sound.

"Ah...ahhhh!" Pettigrew began to scream, feeling uncomfortable as his leg was stepped on and the bones were broken.
