And Qiao Ran in the Devil's Valley had no idea that someone was beginning to hate her again.

After lunch and a short rest, she couldn't wait to go out.

It's been two days since I came back. I've been busy organizing banquets, visiting my grandma's house, and going to the palace. I'm so busy that I can't stop.

She hasn't had a good look at the changes in the Devil's Valley yet, and she doesn't know how the fruit trees and crops are growing. The fish in the pond should have grown up, right?

And I don’t know how her first business venture: silkworm farming is going.

Although she had heard about the general situation from several uncles, she wanted to go and see it in person.

Qiao Ran first went to the silk workshop next to the village school. From afar, she could hear the neat and loud sounds of reading coming from the school, which brought a lot of vitality to the dull summer day.

The school and workshop were both built at the west end of the village, in two separate large courtyards.

They are all made of beautiful blue bricks and white tiles, similar to the villas and courtyards in the village, but much larger in size, and the houses inside are also much larger.

The silk workshop was originally located next to the school, firstly because of its good location, and secondly because one could hear the clear voices of children reading aloud here.

This makes the women and men working in the workshop more energetic and work more vigorously.

Qiao Ran walked into the workshop compound. Except for two small thatched huts built in the corners, the entire courtyard was divided into large houses.

The four workshops of sericulture, silk reeling, weaving, and dyeing and finishing are now in operation.

There are also two other workshops, tailoring and embroidery, but they have not opened yet because the owner, Qiao Ran, is away on a business trip.

There is a large open space in the middle of the spacious yard, with rows of cloth drying racks built with wood and bamboo, and the dyed cloths are neatly hung on the racks to dry.

There were a few women who were drying cloth in the yard. When they saw Qiao Ran come in, they all greeted her with a smile.

"Ran Ran, you're here? Oh, it's good to have you back, we finally have a backbone."

"Yes, Ranran, when you are not around, I always feel uneasy. I don't know who to ask when I have questions."

"Isn't it? Ranran, you are our pillar of support, the leader of the whole village in making money and getting rich. You stay at home and we will attack wherever you point us, without any ambiguity."

Everyone was busy without stopping. Although they were very busy, their faces were filled with energetic smiles.

While responding to everyone's enthusiastic greetings, Qiao Ran walked over to take a look at the cloth drying in the sun.

"Ran Ran, what do you think of the quality of these cloths? Can they be sold at a good price?"

Lin Guizhen also worked in the workshop and was the manager of the dyeing and finishing workshop.

Seeing her niece coming, she hurried over to ask.

Li Daqiang's wife was also drying cloth in the yard. She grinned and said happily:

"We have never seen these cloths before, let alone touched them. Oh, cloths with such good texture, silky and cool to the touch, not to mention how comfortable they are! How comfortable would it be if they were made into clothes and worn on the body? If these cloths were sold to the city, those rich people would definitely rush to buy them!"

The other women who were drying cloth were also smiling happily and were very confident about the cloth.

They never dreamed that one day they would be able to touch such fine fabric.

They all put in a lot of effort to get into this dyeing and finishing workshop.

Everyone spontaneously used scissors to cut off the hard calluses on their hands, and then carefully used files to grind the hard skin clean.

I also prepare a new piece of cotton cloth to wipe my hands carefully before going to work every day to make sure that my hands are not snagged, for fear of accidentally damaging such precious silk cloth.

Although everyone was full of confidence, Qiao Ran shook her head slightly after looking at the cloths:

"Although these cloths are good materials, they are not good enough to attract rich people. If we want to make our cloth famous in the capital, we need to improve it."

Hearing her say this, several smiling women stopped smiling and looked solemn.

In their opinion, the cloth was already excellent, but Qiao Ran said that it still needed improvement. It seemed that they had to work harder!

Qiao Ran glanced at a few people and said with a smile:

"Don't worry, I will find areas for improvement as soon as possible so that the cloth we produce can be of higher quality."

"Well, no matter what you want to do, we will listen to you."

Qiao Ran smiled and nodded, then turned and walked towards the separate workshops.

She decided to start with the silkworm room and check the process step by step to see if there was anything that needed improvement.
