Red Dead Redemption: Western Consortium

Chapter 45 Detective Pinkerton comes to the door

The next day, David and Mike returned to Valentine, Donal's stronghold.

"Mike, this will be your room from now on."

David gave Mike the second bedroom on the second floor.

When they were in the camp, the two brothers often slept in the same tent. Now the situation is different, so naturally things have to change.

"Oh, a comfortable big bed. This is much more comfortable than sleeping in the wild."

"I feel like I have become a gentleman. Maybe I should buy a suit, like a gentleman."

"Fake, is our dream for many years about to come true now?"

David didn't care about Mike. He wanted to go to the moonshine house to see the current situation.

Compared to David, Mike is more popular among people like Donal.

Both Donal and his men were very afraid of David, even though David always had a faint and polite smile on his face and wore jeans similar to theirs.

But the feeling that it's not the same world at all is very obvious.

Mike, who was careless and full of foul language, made them feel real.

It is estimated that it won't be long before Mike can get along with these people.

However, just when David was about to leave, Donal ran over in panic.

"Mr. Callander, outside...they...Detective Pinkerton, they came over and said they wanted to see you."

In the West, no one could ignore the danger posed by Pinkerton detectives, and their reputation resounded throughout the Union.

From the top to the bottom, whenever they hear Pinkerton's name, many people will tremble.

Donal has some cleverness of his own, but he is just a small player, relying on some tricks to survive in Valentine.

Faced with Pinkerton's visit, he suddenly panicked.

"Donal, relax, don't be so nervous."

"Invite our friends to the living room, make them a cup of coffee, and tell them I'll be there right away."

Listening to David's words, Donal gradually calmed down.

Slowly went downstairs.

David was not pretending, but he needed to change his clothes, the gentleman's clothes he wore before.

I have to admit that some external things are very important on certain occasions.

Hug down.

It was none other than Pinkerton Senior Agent Andrew Milton, and his deputy Ed Gross.

A person's name, the shadow of a tree.

The two of them just sat quietly on the sofa. Next to them, Donal and his men, including Mike, were all nervous.

Mike kept looking towards the stairs, wondering why David hadn't come down yet.

And Donal was thinking in his head whether Mr. Callander had run away.

Milton hadn't even finished half a cup of coffee, but to Mike, Donal and several of his subordinates, it seemed like a century had passed.

Finally, there were footsteps from the other side of the stairs.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and subconsciously looked towards the stairs.

With the sound of footsteps, David, who was wearing a crisp suit, a fashionable top hat, shiny orange shoes, and holding a civilized staff in his right hand, slowly appeared in everyone's sight.

With his exquisite attire and unique temperament, he was completely unlike someone who could appear in a barbaric area like the West.

If he was a great nobleman from Europe, I am afraid no one would have any doubts.

Sharp and intelligent eyes fell on Milton and Rose.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Milton, and Mr. Ross, for keeping you waiting. I hope you won't blame me for being late."

When David opened his mouth, he struck preemptively.

There was unconcealable surprise in the eyes of Milton and Ross.

This was definitely their first meeting with David Callander, and David called them by their names directly and accurately.

As a senior Pinkerton agent, Milton knew that his information might be known to David.

However, Milton did not mean to be fooled: "Mr. Callander, if I hadn't read your file, I would have thought that you would be a civilized gentleman instead of a vicious criminal."

David didn't take Milton's ridicule to heart. He walked to sit across from Milton and then ordered:

"Mike, Donal, take the other guys, go out and take a rest first."

"I think I need to talk to the two detectives alone."

Donal and Mike were eager to leave, as were several other men.

Donal glanced at the two agents, then bowed and said respectfully: "I will follow your orders, Mr. Callander."

After everyone left, David said to Milton: "Such a sudden and presumptuous visit is not a civilized behavior. Maybe I should ask Sheriff Malloy how many Pinks have come to Valentine now?" Dayton’s detective.”

"In New Hanover, you two gentlemen need to understand one thing. The identity of the Pinkerton Detective Agency is not that easy to use."

"Oh, maybe I should write a letter to a few friends in the union. You know they have always been very concerned about the Pinkerton Detective Agency."
