Record of northern Myanmar

Chapter 77 Something is going to happen at night

I waved to him and accelerated my pace with Alai and the others.

Alai asked with some confusion: "Did something really happen?"

He was a little afraid, afraid that if I really said it right, there would be a mole who hadn't been found out, and he would take the opportunity to cause trouble.

We checked with the guards at the door and they found nothing unusual.

Two people were guarding the door, and about a dozen people were patrolling the three floors to ensure that there would be no problems here if something happened at night.

We went directly to the second floor and headed towards the little fat man's room.

There happened to be two guards patrolling the second floor, and Alai signaled them to quickly open the door to the little fat man's room.

The lock on the iron fence outside the door opened, and the little fat man pulled me in anxiously.

"Ah Meng! Listen to me..." When he saw Alai and the others coming in, he stopped and looked at me worriedly.

I said: "Go to the balcony!"

Alai said knowingly: "Brother Meng, you guys talk, I will take people to see other places."

"Okay!" I nodded, watched them leave, then pulled the little fat man and asked, "What happened?"

"When I returned to the dormitory area today, I passed by the room in front." The little fat man pointed out the room at the stairs to me at the door. "Two people were talking inside, saying that there would be trouble at night, and they should take the opportunity to jump over the wall and escape."

"Jump over the wall?" I laughed, "Isn't jumping over the high-voltage power grid courting death?"

The little fat man was stunned for a moment, "Huh? Do you want to stop them?"

I don't quite understand what the little fat guy means.

Was he informing me that a piggy wanted to escape, or was he negotiating with me to save those two people?

"What do you mean?" I asked directly, "You know what the consequences will be if you run away and are caught."

The little fat man may not have figured out the purpose of giving these to me.

He scratched his head and walked around in circles, "I don't know, just, just..." He stopped, "Is something going to happen at night?"

I nodded, "Someone is going to deal with this place, with people and weapons."

"Holy shit!" He couldn't believe it. He sat on the chair and looked a little nervous. "We can't deal with this place. Ah Meng, do we..."

He didn't finish his sentence, but I understood.

He also wanted to take advantage of the chaos and escape from here.

Maybe I would have given it a try when I was in northern Myanmar.

But now, it's not possible.

"Don't be nervous!" I said, "Brother Song and Ahu have arranged everything, we have no chance at all, do you understand?"

"Is there really no danger?"

"I don't know!" I told the truth. "I don't know for sure. I have fought with people in the village before. This situation is like a war. Have you ever experienced it?"

The little fat man shook his head, "I have been a good boy since I was a child."

"Just stay here and don't go out no matter what happens outside. Do you understand?"

He nodded and I was ready to leave.

I didn't tell him the specifics. The less people knew about it, the better, otherwise the chaos wouldn't have happened at night.

"Ah Meng!" He stopped me, "What about you?"

I laughed, "It's a life-threatening situation. Don't worry, it's over now. I'll take you out to play!"

He smiled and nodded, "Okay! I haven't been out yet!"

After walking out, the guard immediately locked the door again. I waved to the little fat man in the iron gate and turned around to find Alai.

Alai came down from the third floor, "Brother Meng, there is nothing going on up there."

We happened to be standing at the top of the stairs, next to the room that the little fat man was talking about.

Through the door, I saw a dozen people inside.

Some people take baths, some eat, and some play with their things.

Two people stood facing each other by the window, turning their heads to look out, and met my eyes.

It turned out to be Lian and the proud Xiang.

They looked at me with a vigilance that they couldn't hide. After two seconds, Lian suddenly smiled and waved to me, "Brother Meng!"

Others turned to see.

I didn't smile, I just looked at him.

Alai also looked at him and asked, "Is there something wrong with him?"

I don’t know if there is any problem with this practice.

Unlike other gamers, he doesn't like to talk.

When he was in the game, he was the first to question it when he came to work here.

After arriving here, everyone has experienced the torture of the "newbie gift package".

He survived and successfully entered the fraud team.

He has always been very low-key.

Although the monthly assessment tasks can be completed, they can only be completed without punishment.

Unlike others, who would be punished every once in a while for failing to complete tasks.

Now it's him again!

I can picture in my mind what the little fat man said about two people discussing escaping at night. It must have been this Lian who told the proud Xiang.

Does he really want to run away and pick up a partner, or is he a mole?

Or maybe he has other identities that have not been exposed?

I stopped looking at Lian and turned around to go downstairs. Alai quickly followed me, "Brother Meng, what's going on?"

"Do you know that person just now?" I asked.

"Is that the one standing by the window?" Alai recalled, "The fat guy on the left is called Gao Xiang, and the thin guy on the right seems to be called... Wang Mingyu, yes, that's the name, Wang Mingyu!"

"Go get his information for me."

"Okay, I'll let him go right now!" Alai understood immediately, "When I saw him just now, I knew he was not a peaceful person!"

I walked a few steps forward, stood under the tree and looked up at the dormitory building.

There were many people at the window, all speculating about what happened because of today's events. They looked at us and were watching to see if any piglets had been taken away.

As a result, there was nothing.

There are so many people upstairs, but I am alone downstairs. More than a hundred pairs of eyes are looking at me.

We didn't speak, we just looked at each other.

Maybe some of them came with me, but now, there seems to be a huge gap between us.

They are still piglets in a pigsty, and I have become a pig farmer standing outside the pigsty watching them.

I stood here for more than ten minutes when Alai came back, followed by a panting guard.

"Brother Meng, here it is!" He handed me a piece of paper.

I took it and looked down.

Wang Mingyu, a native of Jiangsu, graduated from a vocational and technical college in a prefecture-level city.

After graduation, he worked in the local cultural and tourism bureau, and later moved to a local newspaper.

Newspaper office?

I continued reading, and the time of resignation was written exactly when he came to Yunnan.

That is to say, he is a reporter and may not have left his job at all.

Understood!

However, I feel something is wrong.

Brother Song and Ahu must have carefully read the information of these people. Didn't they notice this?

"Alai! This man is a reporter!"

"Reporter? Are you here to collect information?" Alai suddenly became serious, "Brother Meng, leave this matter to me!"

I nodded, turned around and walked back, "Hurry up, time is tight!"

Alai and his men re-entered the dormitory building, and I walked back along the tree-lined path when I heard a sudden noise behind me.

In fact, when I saw him working in the newspaper office, I had an idea in my heart that maybe this was an opportunity.

It's just that the time is wrong and the place is wrong.

If I help him, maybe it will become a knife on my head, and he will stay here forever.

The two powers harm each other, whichever is less.

Since everyone will die if I help you, why not let you die alone?
