From abandoned baby to CEO

Chapter 3 Uncle is dead and my brother has autism

In the spring of the following year, the long-awaited happiness for the Sun family finally arrived.

Chuni gave birth to a big fat boy named Huzi.

The tiger cub weighed a full 8 pounds, and Chunni lived up to the Sun family’s dozens of chickens, a sheep, and a lot of fresh fruits.

Since Chunni became pregnant, Erzhu also spent a lot of money to open a special treatment for Chunni and let Chunni take care of her.

Every time grandma made chicken soup and cooked mutton for Chunni, the house was filled with an alluring aroma. The smell made Xueer feel even hungrier and she couldn't help but swallow hard.

Old Man Sun saw all this and would sometimes secretly take a few pieces of meat from the pot to Xueer, but only chicken heads and necks. Old Man Sun knew that Chunni didn't like eating this kind of meat. Even this kind of meat can make Xueer eat it with gusto, with a look of satisfaction and happiness on her face.

Once, as soon as Chunni entered the house, she ran into Xueer who was hiding next to the stove and eating chicken heads.

Without saying a word, Chuni stepped forward and took the half-eaten chicken head from Xueer's hand and threw it to the ground.

When he went out, he pointed at Xueer's nose and scolded her, threatening to kick her out of the house if she found out again.

From then on, whenever grandma was cooking meat in the house, Xueer would run far away. She was afraid that she would not be able to resist the temptation of the fragrance in the house. Later, even if grandpa asked her to eat, she would still hold back no matter how greedy she was. She was afraid of her aunt, afraid that her aunt would really drive her out of the house.

The younger brother was very cute and plump. Xueer secretly looked at his younger brother. My younger brother doesn't like to move or talk. He doesn't get excited when his grandfather teases him. He always stares at the roof and looks very quiet.

She wanted to go over and play with her brother, and she also wanted to touch his chubby little face.

However, when she thought of her aunt's eyes, she felt terrified.

When my brother was one year old, many people came to the house, including villagers and many relatives whom Xueer didn't know. They surrounded their younger brother, and everyone praised him for his good looks. They also gave him money and a lot of delicious food. For this reason, my aunt also sent my uncle to buy a lot of delicious things on the street to entertain the guests at home.

That day, Xue'er was busy serving tea and water, and many people praised her for being sensible. However, in Xue'er's heart, she still envied her brother and felt that he was so happy.

In a blink of an eye, it was Xueer's age to go to school.

The day she reported to school was also the happiest day for Xueer in eight years.

She was carrying a maroon floral schoolbag that her grandma had sewn for her. Grandpa told her that this schoolbag was exactly the same color as the cotton-padded jacket she wore when she was a child.

Grandpa named her Sun Xue, and Xueer was very happy. She liked the name, she liked school, she longed to go to school.

I remember that every time she followed her grandfather on the street and passed the school, the sound of reading aloud from inside always magically stopped her in her tracks. She also looked at the children playing in the school through the big iron gate of the school, imagining that one day she could become one of them.

Compared to home, school is like a big magnet that attracts her.

At home, only her grandparents play with her, and most of the time her grandfather has to work in the fields. She thought about playing with her little brother, but her aunt warned her to stay away from him.

The little brother is still the same as before, he doesn't like to talk or move, and he doesn't seem to be very interested in everything around him. He has a very weird personality, loves to make noises, and sometimes cries for no apparent reason.

Xue'er still remembered that one day her grandfather invited a man dressed in weird clothes and muttered a lot of words that she couldn't understand in front of her younger brother. Grandpa also built a stage in the yard, and the man sat on it, played the suona, and hit the air with a whip. The whip made a loud "crack, crack, crack" sound, and Xueer hid in the corner and was frightened. I didn't dare to express my anger.

Afterwards, she asked her grandfather, who told her that he was trying to drive away ghosts and monsters from his body.

Xueer seemed to understand what her grandfather said. She knew that her grandfather did this for the benefit of her younger brother.

However, my brother didn't seem to be getting better and was still as noisy as before. He lost his temper at every turn, threw whatever he saw, rolled around on the ground in the yard, covered himself with dirt, and grinned silly.

Seeing his brother like this, my grandfather was very anxious, and so were my aunt and uncle. Everyone in the family started to look sad.

Grandpa suggested taking his brother to the hospital in the city for a check-up.

That day, Xueer saw her grandfather, aunt and uncle taking her brother to the hospital in the city early in the morning.

At noon, they all came back. There was no smile on everyone's face. Grandpa sighed as soon as he entered the room, lowered his head and smoked one cigarette after another.

While sleeping, grandpa told grandma that the doctor said that his brother had autism.

Xue'er didn't know what kind of disease autism was, but she could tell from the conversation between her grandfather and grandmother that her brother's illness was serious.

Since her younger brother was diagnosed with autism, Xueer often heard her aunt and uncle quarreling in the house. Her aunt scolded her uncle loudly and her words were particularly unpleasant.

One time Xueer passed by her aunt's room and overheard the conversation between her aunt and her uncle. The aunt said: That Xueer is a broom star. She should not have been allowed to stay in this home in the first place. Her brother has become like this now. It would be right to drive her out of this home.

Upon hearing this, Xue'er's heart skipped a beat and her legs became weak with fear.

Xueer went to her grandfather crying and told her aunt's words. She hugged her grandfather while crying, and begged him to tell her aunt not to kick her out of the house. She promised that she would be obedient in the future and help the family with more work.

Old man Sun looked at the weak, helpless and sensible Xue'er in front of him, held her tightly in his arms and comforted her: "Xue'er is not wrong, Xue'er is the most sensible. Hey! This is all fate!" Old man Sun shook his head. He shook his head and sighed.

One morning, when Xueer went out to school, she met her uncle carrying large and small bags. In the evening, I heard from my grandfather that my uncle had gone to work in the coal mine to earn money for his brother’s medical treatment.

The day I learned that my uncle had an accident in the coal mine was the National Day, which coincided with Xueer's school holiday.

At noon that day, two cars suddenly stopped in front of my grandfather's house. Xueer saw many people getting off the car, and people carried a coffin from the car. Xueer saw her aunt rushing to the coffin and crying heartbrokenly. Grandpa and grandma were also crying, calling her uncle's name. Xue'er has never seen her grandparents cry so sadly, and her grandfather even fainted from crying.

Xueer suddenly realized: her uncle is dead!

The next morning, Xueer discovered that her grandfather's hair had suddenly turned a lot whiter. She also found that after waking up from a nap, her grandfather had become much older...

But she doesn't know that this is just the beginning...
