Fall in love with your enemy

Chapter 449 Signing Rules (Part )

Continuing from the last time, I still cannot accept some of Xiao Gao’s spiritual interests and hobbies, even though we have been married for many years. Fortunately, I have a tolerant heart and a pair of short-sighted eyes. Generally, when I encounter such things, I choose to keep them far away and forget them if I can’t see them.

He was still revising the contract. I stood up and went over. I glanced at it casually and couldn't see anything wrong. He had already saved and printed it. He took it out, signed it neatly and handed it to me. I returned the phone to him. Party A was so straightforward, I felt that I should give him some reward. So I lowered my eyes to see his body vaguely visible in his open bathrobe. Some little flame had not been extinguished just now, but it was hastily buried because of my sleep problem. Now it seemed like it was about to jump up again.

I signed, swept the contract and pen aside, hooked my fingers together, and the untied belt around his waist gently wrapped around my fingers. I pulled him closer and said, "Does he look good without clothes? Then guess how many clothes I wear when I take a shower?"

"I guess, that shouldn't be the case." Gao Xinci smiled, and when he spread his legs, the gap in his pajamas became more obvious.

After taking a hot shower at around ten o'clock, we both forgot about everything and felt comfortable. But I couldn't sleep. The older I get, the more suspicious I become. I didn't expect that even after being reborn, my age would still remain in the previous life. Except for being in better health, my mind is still as heavy as menopause. But actually I didn't know what I was thinking. I lay on my side, my eyes looking at the lighted side. Gao Xinci hugged me from behind. He was bored, so he picked up my hair and played with it. After a while, I don't know what he was fiddling with. The drawer made a noise, and then he put a diamond ring on the ring finger of my right hand.

I smiled bitterly and looked at it under the light. It was smaller than the ones he gave me usually, but suitable for daily wear. It seemed that this was no ordinary gift, and he wanted me to wear it all the time. He held my left hand and squeezed my palm.

"Will you always wear this from now on?" he asked with extra caution.

I looked back at him, and his eyes really stayed on the ring finger of my left hand.

Jiang Yinan and I still have our wedding rings. When I decided to forget about it completely, I threw the engagement ring into the sea and burned the other relics together. But this one was left behind, and the temperature of the fire was not high enough to burn it. Jiang Yinan has not even seen it yet. I was planning to give it as a gift at our wedding, but unfortunately he didn't get to see it.

It was the smallest souvenir I had left, so I just wore it.

I smiled bitterly, took it off and put it on the bedside table. After hesitating for a while, I didn't touch the one Gao Xingci gave me, and wore it steadily on my right hand.

In mainstream thinking, a ring on the left hand represents marriage, and a ring on the right hand represents love. In a dozen days, I will have completed three years of mourning for Jiang Yinan, and this marriage will be completely over. I don’t want to get married again and don’t want to drag anyone down. But if love must be used to define my belonging, it can be anyone. If it’s Gao Xinci, then just consider it as me trying to make him happy.

He really looked happy too.

He turned me over to face him. The quilt was warm and the kiss was very sticky. But that was not enough. He pressed one hand gently on my neck and the other hand squeezed my face, asking me to open my eyes again and again. It took a long time before he let go. Before I opened my eyes, tears rolled down my face.

I asked him if he cried and he said no.

I was very confused. Wasn't I in his arms? Why was I crying? I let him toss and turn for a long time but I didn't cry. He still didn't respond to me and just turned his back to sleep.

I felt a little uncomfortable. He was more conflicted than me. I felt more guilty. Our positions were reversed and I was the one hugging him. It took him a long time to let go. When he looked at me again, his mood had returned to normal. He smiled and rubbed my face with the back of his hand, then kissed my forehead and nose. Unfortunately, when he was almost kissing my lips, he was interrupted by a phone call.

It was already past eleven o'clock, and it was strange to call so late. Gao Xinci showed me the number on the phone and it was Lulu, but after the call was connected, she burst into sobs.

"Hello? Xin Ci, can you come pick me up..."

He was as surprised as I was, but the first thing he did was to calm Lulu down. Gao Xinci quickly agreed, "Where are you? I'll be there now. Do you need anything for me?"

"No, you can come alone. I'm at Xiangyang's hospital. Go to Xiangyang's office and wait for you."

Lulu hung up after she finished talking, and we didn't have time to ask her anything. Fortunately, there was nothing big in Linjiang that she couldn't handle. It was an emotional problem at most. The Han family and the Xiao family had been at loggerheads for the past two years, and it happened that her parents were from these two families. As long as their personal safety could be guaranteed, the rest would wait for us to get there. But I couldn't help but have another worry.

If it wasn't her parents, then the only one who could make her so sad was Cheng Cheng. Before I came to see Gao Xinci, I repeatedly told Cheng Cheng to go and apologize to her...

But I didn't expect that there would be more serious consequences than these.

As soon as I entered the office, the whole room was filled with the smell of blood. There was a long trail of blood on the floor. Lulu was sitting on the edge of the hospital bed crying. Song Jie was actually there, trying to comfort her from time to time, but her frown was obviously full of disgust. Apart from them, there was only Cheng Cheng, who had two large pieces of glass stuck in her forearms. She didn't raise her head and didn't say a word.

I was so scared when I saw that, I quickly went over and held his hand. The wound was full of blood and flesh, and I didn't dare to touch it. My hands were shaking and I almost cried. Xiangyang arrived a step later than us, with some disinfectants in his hand.

Xiangyang was a little surprised to see me, then glanced helplessly at Chengcheng: "How old are you? You asked your sister to come over for such a small injury. Why don't you call mom?"

"This is just a little bit! What else can it do? Did you have a fight with someone?" I stamped my feet in anxiety and bent down to touch other parts of Cheng Cheng's body. Fortunately, this was the only place where Cheng Cheng was injured.

"He's so old, but he's still looking for his aunt. Besides, I didn't call my sister..." Cheng Cheng rolled his eyes at Xiang Yang, turned back to look at me and smiled with great difficulty: "It's okay, sister, it doesn't hurt, it really doesn't hurt, I fell by myself."

"How could you have fallen by yourself? Fall it again and let me see!" I pressed his head and was so angry that I was fuming, but he was still there smiling innocently.

"I really fell down by myself..."

Xiang Yang snorted coldly and shook his head: "I believe you. If we really fight, who can be as strong as you? The neighbors have their heads cut open—"

I was even more confused, but seeing that Song Jie and Cheng Cheng mentioned that someone was looking for my aunt, it was most likely Song Chuanyang. Cheng Cheng always looked down on him and almost vomited when she said a word to him. How could two people of such age fight? I really couldn't understand it.

"Bear with it." Xiangyang had just finished speaking when he took out the glass piece with tweezers without any buffering time. Chengcheng lowered his head and said nothing. I went over and grabbed his hand and let him lean on me. Then I pulled out another one. Xiangyang wiped it with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol. The blue veins on the back of Chengcheng's hand were stretched out, but he didn't say a word.

Then I noticed that the glass pieces looked like broken wine bottles. I did smell alcohol in the room when I came, but it was not from Chengcheng. I looked back and saw Gao Xinci had pushed Song Jie away and sat down on the bed, putting his coat on Lulu. Lulu said nothing, but when she noticed me looking at her, she felt aggrieved. Chengcheng's wound needed stitches, so Xiangyang went to get the tools, and I comforted Chengcheng and went to find her.

When I was halfway there, Lulu came over and hugged me tightly. Before I could ask her anything, she started crying and said, "I've had enough, I've had enough..."

I looked at Song Jie again and asked what happened. Song Jie smiled very kindly and said, "It's like this. My husband Chuan Yang went out and met Miss Han who was drunk. He wanted to take her to rest, but Mr. Fu bumped into him and misunderstood him. It's not a big deal..."

"You're talking nonsense." Cheng Cheng's face darkened and he swore for the first time, "I don't even know if this was your idea, stop pretending to be a good person."

"It's not a big deal. Why would you say that when your nephew is in trouble? You don't want me to think that the Song family is tolerant and generous?" I also raised my voice.

The scene was a bit awkward for a while. Gao Xinci came over and pulled me, indicating that Lulu should speak herself. But Lulu looked very tired and dizzy. She said she couldn't say anything. It happened that Xiangyang brought Lulu's driver back with him, and the girl pulled Gao Xinci and me aside to explain.

I then realized that Song Chuanyang took Lulu away while Lulu went to the bathroom, and did not go back to the Han family or inform her, his assistant, and took her straight to the hotel. After hearing about it, Chengcheng took her to find him. When she arrived at the hotel and saw him, she couldn't help but took another guest's wine and poured it on his head. As for Chengcheng's injury, it was indeed caused by his own fall. When he picked up Lulu, he did not stand firmly and fell and hit the fragments of Song Chuanyang's head. The bloodstains on the office floor were also left by the nurse who took Song Chuanyang to the next room for stitches. In fact, there were not many drops, and it was a bit scary to see them after wiping them away.

While Gao Xinci and I were here, someone saw them and called the police. The officials all came to the hospital, and Song Jie and Xiang Yang had no choice but to deal with them. They were a little late in disinfecting Cheng Cheng. We arrived just as they sat down, but Song Chuan Yang's condition was more serious and he is still in a coma in the next ward.

Cheng Cheng's attack was indeed ruthless, but I felt it was refreshing. I could tell at a glance that he was trying to make things a done deal. What can't this Song guy do? If it wasn't my Cheng Cheng who attacked today, I would have wanted to beat him to death.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” Lulu leaned on my shoulder and wiped her tears. Xiangyang asked her to get an IV drip, but she refused and just hugged me and cried.

What else can I say? I was anxious and didn't know what to say, so I patted her back and coaxed her. I took her to sit aside, and then I glared at Song Fei coldly. Song Chuanyang happened to wake up and was pushed over. I warned him together: "Don't think that if I treat Song Fei well, you will all be arrogant. If you really make me angry, I will have many ideas to get your family out of Linjiang, and it's better to get back to your Malai!"

Song Jie also held her breath: "Ms. Fu, our Chuan Yang didn't do anything. If you really don't believe it, our two families can take legal action..."

"Of course I will hold you accountable for your legal responsibilities! Who do you think you are? Clear your mind and don't take yourself too seriously." I pointed at the mesh on Song Chuanyang's head and smiled: "Do you think I'm really afraid of your legal procedures because of this? Do you think I can't solve it? Mr. Song, this is Linjiang, stop dreaming! At worst, I can call the police now! Call the public officials back!"

Song Chuanyang took a deep breath, suppressed his emotion and said, "I really just want to find a place for her to rest..."

"Don't you know to send it to her house? Don't tell me you don't know where the Han family is!" I interrupted him.

Song Chuanyang sneered, raised his eyes and gestured to Lulu: "Miss Han has been crying about her parents' quarrel. Is it appropriate for me to send her home at this time? Or take her back to my home? The hotel is obviously the most suitable place nearby, and I didn't do anything, right? Do you have evidence to prove that I have feelings for Miss Han? No matter how powerful you are, you have to be reasonable, right?"

I was stuck, Gao Xinci leaned over and gently patted Lulu's shoulder, moving closer to her: "Lulu, tell me, did he bully you?"

Lulu half-closed her eyes, shook her head with tears in her eyes, and covered her face with her hands: "I don't know, I don't remember..."

"It doesn't matter if you don't remember. We can check the surveillance. I always walked on the main road. I can swear that I didn't take advantage of others." Song Chuanyang said this with a wave of affection, staring at Lulu with his eyes straight: "I won't disrespect you."

Cheng Cheng sneered: "Whether it was not done or it was too late, you know it better than anyone else."

I actually don't want to delve into it. I will definitely avenge Lulu for her grievances, but I've experienced it myself and I know how frustrating it would be to interrogate a girl about this kind of thing. The more familiar the person is, the more embarrassing it is. Even if the other person is trying to "avenge" me, I can feel that Lulu is in extreme pain.

Sure enough, she yelled the next second: "Stop talking!" She was talking to Cheng Cheng, but then she sobbed and said, "I'm sorry..."

I don't understand why she apologized from the beginning. Maybe she was afraid of trouble. I could only pat her back gently: "He should do it. He is your boyfriend."

"We broke up..." Lulu said again.

I was completely stunned. When did this happen? No one told me that this relationship would collapse so completely. No, I should have thought of it earlier. The Lu family is not an ordinary stimulus to Chengcheng, and the Han family has been fighting among themselves. How can Lulu bear the suffering of both parties? I should have expected it to collapse...

Xiangyang couldn't sew any more, so he looked up and asked me if I needed help. I thought about it and shook my head. I comforted Lulu and told her that it was okay, and took her to sit on the sofa next to me. I was really afraid that what happened in the previous life would happen again. No matter whether Lulu would reconcile with Chengcheng or not, she must not be abducted by Song Chuanyang. Gao Xinci and I witnessed the end of the previous life with our own eyes. This man is good at talking, and people who have never seen him can easily fall into his trap. What's more, Lulu needs a sense of security the most now. I must at least let her see what kind of person Song Chuanyang is.

But I really didn't think it would be so easy. I've watched the surveillance footage and Song Chuanyang is a true "gentleman". But Mo Nian was also in the hospital today. I don't know where he got Song Chuanyang's bag from, and without saying a word, he just turned the bag upside down and shook it down. Apart from the scattered documents, the most eye-catching thing that fell out was a box the size of half a palm. It lay there so quietly.

Silently smiling sweetly, she walked over to Xiangyang and hugged his arm: "Brother, what is this thing for?"

Song Jie closed her eyes, let out a breath, took two steps back and ignored it.

Song Chuanyang's face suddenly turned dark, but Gao Xinci didn't like this color, so he stood up with his fist clenched and changed his color to a brighter and more festive red.
