Harry Potter: The Atypical Alchemist
Chapter 79
Three days later they set off for London.
The Ministry of Magic was underground in Whitehall. They drove to a street next to Whitehall, got out of the car and entered an abandoned red phone box.
This is the visitor's entrance to the Ministry of Magic.
Stone picked up the phone and pressed "MAGIC". The call was connected, and the operator's voice sounded on the other side.
After identifying himself, an issued pass dropped out of the coin chute and the phone booth lowered.
After stopping, they arrived at a wide hall with the sign 'Eighth Floor' written on it.
There was a receptionist out front, and Stone announced who they were and why they were there.
"Okay, please register your wands." The receptionist handed over three registration forms.
When the three of them were registering, the receptionist waved his magic wand, and words appeared on a piece of paper in front of him, and finally folded into a paper airplane and flew out.
Then, he took the three people's registration forms, checked them, and said, "Please wait a moment, the person to pick you up will be here soon."
"Okay, thank you," Stone said.
Not long after, a middle-aged man with a serious expression came over. After stopping, he nodded at Stone and others, and then turned around without saying a word.
The ceiling of the hall was blue and inlaid with sparkling golden symbols. There were at least twenty elevators at the end. They stepped on the dark wooden floor, bypassed the magic fountain, and entered one of them.
The elevator turned upwards and stopped on the first floor.
The floor on this floor was covered with thick carpets, and all offices had bright wooden doors with a small sign on the door. They arrived at the office of the Minister of Magic.
Knocking on the door, Fudge was sitting behind his desk.
"Oh! You guys came together?"
"Yes."
"Sit down," said Fudge. "I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little longer. The boy from Durmstrang hasn't arrived yet."
So, Stone sat on the guest sofa and pulled the Ramadan sisters to sit down as well.
Fudge was in the office, and Stone wanted to chat with Nicks, but seeing the serious looks on their faces, he had no choice but to give up.
Deeply bored, Stone looked up and down, but most of the time he stared at the door.
Finally, there was another knock on the door. Fudge waved his wand, and Krum walked in together with the middle-aged man from before.
"We're all here now." With that, Fudge stood up.
He raised a finger and wanted to say something, but seemed to have forgotten it. After thinking for a long time, he finally pointed at the middle-aged wizard and said, "Come and explain to them."
After receiving Fudge's instructions, the man finally spoke and said:
"There are two things you want to refine, the Sword in the Stone and the Sword in the Lake. Find out what they are specifically."
"Yes, the Sword in the Stone and the Sword in the Lake." Fudge continued, "As reward, you will each receive three hundred gold galleons, which is a bit less, so I will personally add another two hundred for you as a reward. encourage."
"Thank you," Stone said. "So, where do we do the alchemy?"
"Don't worry, he will tell you later." Fudge pointed to the middle-aged wizard again, and then clapped his hands, "Okay, boys, you can get busy."
This was driving people away, and they didn't stay any longer.
When they walked out of the office, Sister Ramadan breathed a sigh of relief and patted Axel, "Hi, Axel, long time no see."
"Yes." Nodding, Axel looked at Stone, "Long time no see. Have you received the piano?"
"I got it, it's very useful, but I've modified it a little bit based on the previous one, do you mind?"
"No, that's already your thing." Axel said with a smile.
At this time, Memphis was unhappy and kicked Axel:
"Hey! You poker face, why do you only smile at Stone? I was the one who said hello first!"
"Is that so?" Axel looked at Memphis with a smile, and the smile became more and more unnatural.
"...You better stop laughing."
Fighting all the way, they followed the real poker face into the elevator, reached the eighth floor, and walked out of the Ministry of Magic.
"Um..." Stone asked tentatively, "Can I know your name? And, where are we going?"
"701, Silent Man. Just follow me."
"Okay." Stone didn't understand at all, but seeing that he had no intention of explaining, he stopped asking.
Whitehall is in Westminster, a city directly under London and the center of political affairs. 701 took them through two streets and came to Charing Cross Street.
This is also a street under Westminster, famous for various professional bookstores and second-hand bookstores. Stone used to buy books here, so he has some impressions.
Charing Cross, corner.
Because of the arrival of everyone, several characters appeared on the door at the corner - bookstore.
Just like the Leaky Cauldron, it appears to be a bookstore directly under the Ministry of Magic.
"Alchemy Hall, 701."
After 701 said these words, there was a 'click' and the sound of unlocking sounded from inside the door. They pushed the door open and walked in.
This is indeed a bookstore, at least in part.
The first half of the room was densely packed with bookshelves, and the second half was a marble-paved hall.
"You can read the books here." 701 said, "The hall in front is your alchemy place. There are several rooms behind the hall where you can rest."
"I will come again tomorrow, and you can tell me the materials you need."
He turned and walked towards the exit. When he reached the door, he knocked on the door and added, "If you don't want to be disturbed, you can change the password."
After 701 left, the room became quiet.
After a long time, Nyx asked in a daze: "Then... shall we start now?"
"How?" Axel asked.
Then they looked at Stone together, "It's up to you to make alchemy for your Ministry of Magic."
"Okay." Stone thought for a while, "First check what the Sword in the Stone and the Sword in the Lake are, and then ask the Ministry of Magic for some materials."
"...Is this okay?" Memphis asked hesitantly, "That's your Ministry of Magic."
"It's all business, no matter what kind of organization it is? Don't you want to do something good?"
"I think so, but that 701 seems to be knowledgeable. Can it be done?"
"There should be no problem." Stone said, "If you really want to refine something, there are many alchemists. Fudge just wants to gain a reputation and add some political achievements to himself.
"Something as small as materials...it's just a transaction, I understand."
