Harry Potter: The Atypical Alchemist
Chapter 48 Finals
"Success!"
As soon as he went out, Stone heard Nyx's excited voice. The door to the alchemy room next door had just opened, and the two looked at each other awkwardly.
"You said it yourself, I didn't eavesdrop."
"Hahahaha..." Nyx smiled awkwardly and comforted himself: "It doesn't matter, I didn't say anything important."
"Uh-huh."
"So - are you done?"
"You are now spying on secrets." Stone smiled and looked at the wonderful expression on her face for a while and said, "I'm done."
"You said this yourself, I didn't force you." Nicks looked wary.
"Don't worry, I won't report you." Stone closed the door of the alchemy room with his backhand.
These are all minor issues. We all have a good relationship, so we won’t do such shameless things.
As they walked over, Memphis also came out of their alchemy room and closed the door, staring at Nyx with his hands on his hips.
In order not to be blamed, Nyx avoided Memphis's gaze, walked towards Stone, and said:
"There's still a lot of time left. Now that we're done, how about hanging out together?"
"..."
For Stone, going shopping with the Ramadan sisters meant being a bag-carrying boy. He wanted to refuse, but looking at Nyx's begging eyes, he nodded helplessly:
"Ok."
"Yeah!" Nyx waved his arms and turned to Memphis, "Let's go out and play together!"
This skill of changing the topic was not a great one, but it did make Memphis feel relieved. She flicked Nyx's forehead and nodded.
After walking up to the second floor together, Nicks waved to Stone:
"See you tomorrow then."
"See you tomorrow."
... ...
In the following time, they only stayed at the Moon Hotel when sleeping.
And every time they returned to the Moon Hotel, they would find that there were many more guests in the hotel, probably for the last day of the game. Some people recognized them and came over to chat, but Stone didn't recognize any of them.
The hotel's passenger flow reached its peak on the last day, and important officials from the Ministry of Magic from various countries also came. Stone saw the man who said very little who had given him 10 gold galleons.
Different from the previous two rounds, the final time is in the morning, at 10 am.
The day before the competition, Stone, who had vomited while shopping, finally returned to his alchemy room and collected the remaining crystals and gold he had.
Unless there were special circumstances, it would be four years before he returned here again. Stone walked around the alchemy room, reluctantly said goodbye to the set of tools in the cabinet, and closed the door of the alchemy room.
On game day, at nine o'clock in the morning, after breakfast, Stone put on his Hogwarts uniform, solemnly put the purple flute into the wooden box, and walked to the archway.
The door to the venue hasn't opened yet, so he, Sister Ramadan, and Klum have to wait here for a while.
Stone and Krum were leaning against the wall, standing opposite each other. Nyx was squatting next to Stone, and Memphis was standing with his arms crossed on the other side.
It can be seen that Memphis is carrying a wooden box like a schoolbag, which should contain their works; Stone's wooden box is in his hand; Krum...Krum's is even more It was obvious that there was a large wooden cabinet floating next to him.
‘This guy didn’t bring a piano over, did he? ’ Stone thought to himself.
The four people looked at each other without speaking, but the archway was not very quiet either.
The sound came from the venue, a buzzing noise, and it was unclear how many people were inside.
They waited like this until ten o'clock. At ten o'clock, the noise gradually subsided, the two doors opened inward, and the light spread out from the venue.
"It's the last competition." Memphis broke the calm, "Who comes first?"
"You guys go first," Krum said.
"Then you go first." Memphis looked at Stone.
"why?"
"If we walk in front, we will block you." Nyx smiled and patted Stone on the shoulder.
"..."
It made sense, and Stone couldn't argue with it.
He straightened his clothes and stepped into the light.
Before fully entering the venue, Stone heard the roar of cheers. After his eyes fully adapted to the bright light environment, he finally saw the scale of the venue clearly.
The chief executive and judges have already arrived, and the second floor is full of people. The seats on the first floor have also been transformed into viewing seats. Of course, it is possible that they were originally audience seats, but the previous competitions were not open to the public.
It's a pity that I can't sit in the original corner.
Immediately behind Stone were the Ramadan sisters, further behind was Klum, and finally his wooden cabinet.
Seats were reserved for them at the front, and the four of them sat there one after another.
"Welcome everyone!" The director stood up, "Welcome everyone to the quadrennial International Youth Alchemy Exchange Conference."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa-"
After the warm applause, the host bowed slightly and continued:
“In this conference, the finalists are—Stone Cape!—Memphis Ramadhan!—Nix Ramadhan!—Axel Krum!”
Every time there was a pause, there would be fierce cheers, and Stone and the others would stand up and wave.
After this process was completed, the principal continued:
"The theme of the final is music. For this reason, we specially invited Mr. Egbert. Welcome Mr. Egbert!"
After saying that, he took the lead in applauding, and the archway door on the other side opened, and an old man with medium-long white hair walked in. The old man received the warmest cheers, even more so than when the contestants entered.
"Who is he?" Stone asked quietly.
"Egbert, the most famous musician in the wizarding world." Nyx explained in a low voice.
"Hmm - quite professional."
"Yes, but he should only be responsible for the music part. The judges must be responsible for the alchemy part." Nicks said.
"That's for sure. A layman can't guide an expert."
While they were talking, Egbert had already walked up to the judges' bench and sat in the seat reserved for him, on the left side of the chairperson, opposite Nicolés Flamel.
After the applause finally subsided, the host coughed lightly, and then his voice spread to every inch of the venue:
"Now, the game begins!"
"We invite our first contestant - Axel Klum!"
The cheers started again, and Krum walked to the judges' table with his wooden cabinet.
A large space was reserved in front of the judges' table. He gently put down his work and opened the sealed wooden strips.
The wooden boards were pulled out one after another, and everyone present finally saw the whole work.
This guy actually brought a piano over.
