Harry Potter: The Atypical Alchemist
Chapter 30
The festive atmosphere is getting stronger and stronger, and finally, it’s time for a holiday.
After packing all the luggage into the seamless stretch suitcase, Stone walked out of Ravenclaw Tower.
Ahead, in the quadrangle, the friends who came in the same carriage were already waiting - sisters Anthony and Patil. And Hermione, she seems to be Parvati's roommate, so she's also there.
Seeing that Stone was only carrying a suitcase, Hermione said curiously:
"Aren't you going to compete? Isn't it enough to bring only this little thing?"
"We learned the Seamless Stretching Charm." Stone asked back, "Why are you still dragging such a big suitcase? Have you forgotten the spell?"
Hearing this, Hermione puffed up her face.
In fact, she had really forgotten, not the spell, but the fact that the suitcase could be transformed with a spell.
"Okay, it seems I really forgot." Stone walked to Hermione and passed by, "Then come on, I won't help you carry your luggage anyway."
"No need!"
Amidst the laughter, Hermione struggled to drag her luggage and follow.
When they came, they took a boat across the Black Lake, but when they left, it was different. They had to go around to the northernmost main entrance, and then take a carriage around to the southernmost station.
The carriage is automatic, as if it is spiritual.
Stone and others stood beside the carriage, waiting for Hermione who was at the back for a while.
"It seems that someone not only forgot the Traceless Stretching Charm, but also the Levitation Charm." Stone said with a smile.
Hermione paused in her steps:
"what--"
She kicked the snowdrift on the side of the road, vented her anger, and waved her wand.
With the Levitation Charm, Hermione's steps became much lighter, but she was only two steps away from the carriage.
This also caused Stone to endure resentful looks all the way.
The train departs at 10am and arrives at King's Cross Station at 5pm.
As soon as he got off the train, a strong blast of cold air filled Stone.
There were snowflakes floating in the air, which condensed into water droplets when they landed on the ground. They made a 'pattering' sound when they stepped on them.
"It's so cold!" Sister Patil wrapped her wizard robe tightly, "Let's go first——"
After saying that, the two of them rushed out of the platform without looking back.
Stone looked back at the other two companions. Anthony was okay (maybe, he didn't look carefully), but Hermione's face and the hand holding the suitcase were pale from the cold.
It's the Muggle world outside, and it would be outrageous to leave the suitcase floating in the air. Stone took Hermione's suitcase so that she could put her hands in her pockets.
"Let's go too," he said.
"Well, thank you." Hermione huddled up and followed Stone out of the platform.
"See you back at school, Stone," Anthony said. "I saw my mom."
"Okay, see you at the beginning of school." Stone waved his hand.
"See you when school starts." Hermione also said, but she didn't take out her hand.
After saying goodbye, they continued walking out. When they walked out of the station, Stone saw his mother, Ms. Karina, for the first time.
At the same time, Karina also saw Stone and the little girl following Stone. They were all wearing long robes and looked like they were returning guests from the mysterious world.
At this time, she noticed that a couple walked out of the car that had been waiting next to her and walked towards Stone.
'They must be the parents of that little girl,' she thought, and followed her.
"Dad, Mum!" Hermione regained her energy in an instant, and she opened her arms and hugged them.
"She's freezing." Hermione's mother rubbed her head, looked at Stone behind her, lowered her head again, and said, "Why don't you introduce your friends to us?"
"Oh!" Hermione let go of her parents and said with a slight blush on her face, "His name is Stone Cappy, and he is my friend at Hogwarts."
"Hello, Stone."
"Hello." Stone nodded slightly, then tilted his head and looked behind them, "Her name is Hermione Granger, have you heard everything else?"
"..." Karina walked out and knocked Stone on the head, "You are the only one who is smart."
Then she turned to the Grangers and introduced themselves to each other.
The weather was quite cold, so after exchanging pleasantries, everyone agreed to meet again next time. Stone handed the suitcase back to Hermione and followed Karina into his family's car.
"See you at the start of term—" Hermione yelled.
Stone stuck his head out of the car and waved.
After the car started and drove out of the station, Karina finally couldn't help it anymore:
"Oh - you even help others carry their suitcases, that's very gentlemanly!"
"Oh - thanks for the compliment."
"Ha! Then since you are such a gentleman, why didn't you make a single call to your home for three months?"
"This... there's nothing we can do. There are no phones in the school, and we can't use electronic devices."
"Isolated from the world?" Karina asked in surprise, "You always need to communicate with the outside world, right?"
"We use owls."
"Owl? Oh yes - your senior sister gave you an owl - where is your owl?"
"Inside the suitcase."
"That mini suitcase in the trunk?" Karina asked in surprise, "Can it hold an owl?"
"The magic suitcase has a lot of space inside." Stone explained.
"Then you can't keep it in the suitcase. It's so dark inside."
"She is... an owl." Stone blinked, "And owls are nocturnal animals."
"I..." Karina's tone paused, "Of course I know! Don't change the subject! Since you can use owls to send messages, why don't you write to us?"
"You were the one who changed the subject first." Stone muttered.
"what?"
"Ahem, it's nothing. I'm afraid that using an owl to send messages will scare you."
"Ha--it's weird if I believe you!" Karina said, rolling her eyes.
She was pretty sure Stone had just made it up, her own cub, she knew it all too well. As for the reason for not writing a letter... I forgot that it is unlikely. The greater probability is that he is lazy, or he feels it is unnecessary.
She held the steering wheel, glanced at Stone, and said:
"Go back and teach me how to use an owl to send messages!"
"Okay-" Stone responded.
Speaking of which, it's really time for Nyx to exercise. In six months, Nyx only bought a carving knife once, and spent the rest of the time in the Owlery, gaining a lot of weight.
While we were chatting, the car had already driven out of the city, the cold feeling disappeared, and the sky became brighter. Although it was still snowing, it finally turned into snowflakes when they fell to the ground, and they were all white.
