Harry Potter: The Atypical Alchemist
Chapter 18 The Curse Lesson
Neither the external structure nor the introverted structure is suitable for one-way transfer of energy, so this third symbol only requires the most basic one-way arrangement.
Originally, Stone envisioned the talisman as consisting of five runes.
The first one is lightning-shaped (Sowilo-Sowelu), which has the meaning of 'energy of the sun', followed by (Jera-Jera) which represents circulation and transformation; controls the direction of force (Thurisaz-surisa) Hereby); represents stability (Hagall - Hagel) and transmission (Laguz - Laguz).
This talisman was supposed to convert the sun's energy into stable electricity for use by the projector.
But Stone himself couldn't afford this intensity, so he could only try to simplify the rune spectrum into three runes.
I have no idea where to start, so I can only try permutations and combinations.
In three days, Stone drew out all the possibilities and compiled the corresponding spells.
Coincidentally, under intense work, the projector ran out of power and fell into a shutdown state.
Stone disassembled the motor part of it.
Next is the mechanical arrangement and combination. The first one (Sowelu) must be there, it is the source of energy. The order of other runes cannot be changed, so there are six possibilities in total.
Stone's life became boring - attending classes during the day and carving talismans at night.
Six days passed like this, and all combinations failed.
"Oh -" Stone stretched, pulled out the wooden sign from the motor and threw it aside.
Apart from anything else, for six days, there was a new talisman every day. This frequency made his physical condition much better. At least he didn't faint when he created the three-rune talisman, and he still had a lot of energy left.
As for whether the talisman would be effective, he didn't have much hope. He just considered all possibilities with a scientific research attitude.
Now that he knew this idea was wrong, he could calm down and think of other solutions.
"Did it succeed?" Looking at Stone, who looked satisfied, Anthony couldn't help but ask.
"No, you can't watch the movie today either." Stone replied with a smile.
Regarding this projector, he now has more of a mentality of overcoming difficulties. On the contrary, his classmates are all waiting eagerly.
"Hmm!" Anthony blinked, "Speaking of which, today is the sixth day, right?"
"Ah."
"It means..." Anthony hesitated. Although he couldn't understand it, he had seen the six talismans.
"Yes, it failed." Stone admitted frankly.
"Okay - it's time for you to fail once." Anthony said with a smile: "Don't think too much, go to bed early and fight again tomorrow."
He didn't know Stone's current state of mind, but if he failed to do something, he would definitely be disappointed and need comfort. He was happy to be the one who comforted others.
"Haha - okay." Stone accepted it readily, he put away the carving knife and lay down on the bed.
The next day, Stone woke up to the scent of roasting pumpkins and pumpkin cakes wafting in from the common room.
"Well-Halloween is here."
"That's right." Anthony next door was wearing a scarf, "You've been so obsessed with those talismans recently, are you being silly?"
"Maybe." Stone shrugged indifferently.
He has no idea about Halloween. He only knows that there are roasted pumpkins to eat, and he has never celebrated other items. If you can't see it, what's the point of dressing up as a ghost?
After tidying up their clothes, the two picked up their books and walked out of the dormitory.
There was a magic class in the morning, but there was no class in the afternoon. He could go to the library, so he brought his alchemy books.
There were pumpkin cakes floating in the corridor. Stone took two of them and walked out of Ravenclaw Tower while eating them.
In the classroom, after the roll call, Professor Flitwick announced that today they would be learning the 'Levitation Charm', which attracted cheers from the students. They all got their breakfast from the sky today and wanted to try this spell.
Stone had also practiced the levitating spell, but there was still the same problem. He didn't know the special gestures, so he could only make objects as heavy as a wooden sign levitate.
"Regarding this action, we need to practice a subtle gesture." Professor Flitwick said sharply, "A wave and a shake." He gestured with his wand, "In addition, reciting the spell correctly is also very important. Important—Okay, let’s try it.”
As soon as the professor finished speaking, the sound of curses rang out one after another in the classroom.
"Yugadeep! Leviosa!"
"Yingadim! Levy-Sa!"
"..."
Amidst the messy sounds, Stone had finished analyzing the movements and spells. He raised his wand and pointed at the feathers on the table:
"Wingardim, Leviosa."
The feather floated up and landed five inches from the table.
Purely in terms of weight, feathers are definitely not as good as wooden cards, and there seems to be no reference. However, Stone can clearly feel that he is controlling the feathers, which is much better than when he played wooden cards before.
The sounds in the classroom were still ringing one after another. Stone controlled the feathers in his hands, but the pictures in his mind had been replaced by pictures of symbols.
At the same time, Hermione avoided Ron's wand with a look of disgust on her face:
"Stop, stop, stop, you are about to swipe it in someone's face. Besides, your spell is also pronounced wrong. It is Yuga-Dim, Levi-O-Sa. The additional words are long and long. Clearly, the stress at the end is wrong, it should be on 'AO', not 'Sa'."
"Since you are so smart, come and try it!" Ron roared.
"Okay." Hermione rolled up her sleeves and waved her wand, "Yingardim, Leviosa."
Their feathers floated up, hovering four feet above their heads.
"Oh! Well done!" Professor Flitwick clapped his hands and shouted, "Look, everyone, Miss Granger has succeeded!"
"Hmph -" Hermione nodded the wand in her hand triumphantly.
"Has anyone else succeeded?" Professor Flitwick asked as he scanned the entire classroom, "Oh! Sure enough, Stone also succeeded!"
Hearing Stone's name, the students' eyes were all focused on him. Anthony quickly nudged his deskmate awake with his elbow and whispered: "Professor Flitwick is praising you for your success."
"Huh? Oh." Stone picked up his wand, and the feather circled around the classroom and then hung directly above the desk.
"Very good!" Professor Flitwick clapped, "Gryffindor and Ravenclaw each get one point."
After the extra points, Professor Flitwick turned his attention to the unsuccessful classmates, and Stone returned to his own world.
The two-hour class passed quickly. After class, Stone ran out of the classroom and ran to the library.
