Wuzhou Mountain starts from Xinzhou City in the north, reaches Fancheng under the jurisdiction of Lizhou in the south, and reaches Mingyu City in Xinzhou in the east. At the foot of the west mountain is a vast ocean.

Strictly speaking, Jinding Mountain, where Bodhi Temple is located, is also a small remnant of Wuzhou Mountain. Just because there is a golden tripod on the mountain and the incense is prosperous, it has a separate mountain name.

Arriving at the foot of Wuzhou Mountain, the three of them got off the carriage.

Yizhen looked at the lush and huge mountain range in front of him. There was not even a serious mountain road, and he couldn't help but joked: "It's a good place to hide monsters and attract ghosts."

Zhou Jin looked up at the sky and said, "Princess, it will get dark in two hours. We must reach Lanruo Temple before dark..."

"What temple?" Yi Zhen couldn't help but ask.

"Lanruo Temple, what's wrong?"

Yi Zhen took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down: "This temple isn't haunted, is it?"

Qingmei sneered: "You are a monk, but you are still afraid that the temple is haunted?"

"Of course not. I feel that building a temple in the deep mountains and wild forests is very abrupt."

Zhou Jin looked at him with doubtful eyes: "Are you a monk from Bodhi Temple? Why don't you even know about Lanruo Temple?"

Qingmei curled her lips and mocked: "Grandma Zhou, you don't know, he used to be a fool. I heard from the monks at Bodhi Temple that he can't do anything but chant sutras."

Yizhen said coldly: "I don't listen to what's going on outside the window, and I only focus on reading the Sutras of Saints. They are jealous, slanderous, and disrespectful to the Buddha, so they cannot achieve Bodhi."

"Hey, did you prove it?"

"Of course, do you want me to take off my clothes and show you?"

"You... are obscene." Qingmei was so angry that her face turned red and her neck thickened, and her legs trembled when she walked.

Mu Yunqing, who was walking in front, turned back in time to interrupt the quarrel between the two: "Qingmei, what are you talking about? Master Yizhen has profound Buddhist teachings. This is verified by Grandma Zhou personally. You are not allowed to be rude to Master Yizhen in the future. Do you hear me?" ?”

Qingmei glanced at the two of them with a pout, and muttered: "If you wear a pair of pants, you know how to bully this little maid like me, huh~"

Although Qingmei's voice was low, the people around her were all experts with sharp ears and eyesight, so they could hear her clearly.

Among the three of them, some pretended not to hear, some were embarrassed to answer, and some secretly laughed.

In short, they are all pretending to be confused and can only relieve each other's embarrassment by climbing mountains.

In this way, the progress of climbing the mountain will be much faster.

As soon as the sunset filled the western sky, the four of them arrived at the entrance of Lanruo Temple.

This is a dilapidated ancient temple, and the surrounding walls have become ruins and lifeless.

In the main hall, the ancient Buddha of Lantern is enshrined. The Buddha's golden body was covered with dust, and there was only half a red candle left on the candlestick in front of him.

When the green plum went over to light it, it made a crackling sound that lasted for a while before it stopped.

Ruined temples, weeds, and spider webs.

The only four major factors for ghosts to appear are "dark night and high wind".

After working hard for nearly half an hour, the four people finally packed up the main hall.

There were three futons in front of the Buddha, one for each of the three women, leaving Yizhen alone meditating on the weeds.

The female ghost didn't come, so I was bored.

Zhou Jin asked: "Yizhen, do you really not know the origin of Lanruo Temple?"

Yi Zhen shook his head: "Please ask Sister Zhou to help me clear up my doubts."

Seeing that he didn't seem to be lying, Zhou Jin took the initiative to tell the three people about Lanruo Temple.

millennia ago.

No one has ever heard of the existence of Lanruo Temple.

It suddenly became a Buddhist temple because Zen Master Huiyu, a powerful Buddhist at that time, suddenly announced that he would retire to Wuzhou Mountain.

Zen Master Huiyu came from Fayuan Temple in the capital of Zhongzhou and was famous.

Originally, Lanruo Temple could rely on the reputation of Zen Master Huiyu to completely activate this ancient Buddhist temple in the mountains.

Unexpectedly, Zen Master Huiyu established a rule in front of this temple: if you want to enter Lanruo Temple to practice, you need to recite sutras three thousand times in front of the Buddha.

Everyone was confused about what he meant and thought, if you don't let me enter the temple, how can I chant sutras in front of the Buddha?

So some monks built huts in front of the temple and began to sit quietly and chant sutras.

After two years, someone finally completed the chanting three thousand times. When he entered the temple with great expectations and wanted to worship Zen Master Huiyu as his teacher, he was told, "Ziru, you are obsessed."

Master Ziru was puzzled and could only return to the temple to continue chanting sutras and observe whether other monks passed the test.

As a result, two years later, no one was recognized by Zen Master Huiyu.

Disheartened, Ziru bid farewell to Zen Master Huiyu with all the monks, found a few big donors, and built the Bodhi Temple on another mountain.

This is the origin of Bodhi Temple.

"Aren't you talking about Lanruo Temple? Why are you talking about the origin of Bodhi Temple?" Qingmei couldn't help but ask.

Zhou Jin smiled slightly and turned to look at Yizhen.

Yi Zhen said angrily: "I saw that you didn't listen well. I told you from the beginning. No one knows the origin of Lanruo Temple."

"What she said is telling me that our Bodhi Temple is a scumbag in front of Lanruo Temple."

Zhou Jin nodded and said, "You can teach me."

Mu Yunqing covered his mouth and snickered: "What happened next?"

"Later?" Zhou Jin sighed: "No one passed the test of Zen Master Huiyu, and Lanruo Temple disappeared from everyone's sight again."

"Some people say that after Zen Master Huiyu passed away, Master Ziru led a crowd to come here to pay homage to him, and also took away all the scriptures and relics left by Zen Master Huiyu to fill the temple treasury."

"As for whether other stories will happen in the future, it is unknown."

This short-lived Lanruo Temple has existed for an unknown number of years. Even though it is so dilapidated, its mystery and solemnity cannot be concealed.

"There is another thing that cannot be verified. There is only one sentence recorded in the Sutra Pavilion in Qilian Mountain." Zhou Jin added.

"What words?" Qingmei asked.

"It is said that Huiyu died long ago, and a light tower emerged, soaring into the sky."

When Yi Zhen heard this, his heart moved and he couldn't help asking: "What do you mean?"

Zhou Jin explained: "That is to say, Zen Master Huiyu passed away very suddenly. On the night of his death, a transparent pagoda appeared in Lanruo Temple, soaring into the sky."

"When people arrived, they found nothing."

"Some people speculate that this pagoda is the incarnation of Zen Master Huiyu. He has achieved Buddhahood and reached bliss."

"There is also speculation that this is a natural phenomenon caused by light."

"In short, there were a lot of things said at the time, but none of them seemed very reliable. In the end, they became a joke and were forgotten by history."

Yi Zhen didn't like the two "superstitious" and "scientific" terms. He remembered the 3D blue light pagoda he saw under the moonlight that night.

That is the pagoda that I took a photo of, and the original is in my arms.

Do you want to try it out here?

However, what should I do if there is too much noise and someone snatches it away?

Then wouldn’t it be a big loss for me?

It is more reliable to explore slowly.

"Master Yizhen, what are you thinking about?" Mu Yunqing interrupted his thoughts.

"I wonder if those people were dazzled."

The three of them gave him a big eye roll.

Then, all four people's eyes went dark.

"Has the candle burned out?" Yi Zhen asked.

"I'll go take a look." Qingmei stood up and replied.

After the rustling of footsteps, Qingmei blew the fire in her hand.

Then, she sent the fire fold to the red candle.

She muttered: "It didn't burn out, why did it go out?"

Relight.

Before he could turn around, he died again.

"Hey, there's no wind either."

Qingmei lit the red candle again, and this time it went out before she could turn around.

Qingmei finally realized that things were not that simple.

She held up the torch and slowly shined it forward...

"Mom!"
