The world of American TV series: Starting with the L.A. Patrol.

Chapter 917 Sneaking into the Auction House

It was only after seeing the information about Patrice St. Clair that Jack realized that he had never heard of a person named Jeffrey Epstein in this world, and the Lori Island case had not yet broken out.

He casually looked up some relevant information and found that there was indeed a tycoon with the same name in the United States, but he died in a plane crash several years ago.

Was this silenced by a former presidential couple? Jack knew that he couldn't delve into things he couldn't understand. In his previous life, apart from a bland documentary, no movie or TV series seemed to dare to touch on this sensitive incident involving the European and American upper class.

So it seems understandable that in this world that is deeply influenced by various movies and TV dramas, no similar global scandal has broken out.

Frank hurried out after getting the investigation results. Cassel had never seen the specific situation inside the Albanian gang's lair before, and was watching the TV report with gritted teeth.

Although several developed countries in Europe and the United States seem to have close relations, there are still many frictions between them, especially regarding reporting negative news on each other.

If you want to know more about some scandals in the United States, Reuters, BBC and AFP are the best sources of information. Conversely, the Associated Press has always taken every opportunity to report on European royal news.

If this scandal concerns both Europe and the United States, then we can only look at the report of TASS. As for the useless media in a certain big country in the East that can only parrot others, we can basically ignore it.

Looking at the miserable conditions of the girls who were rescued on the TV news, if Cassel might have thought that Jack and his father's methods were too cruel before, now he only regretted not being able to use some force on Mark Ocha himself.

"There will be an underground auction tonight." Frank, who returned quickly, brought back a piece of news.

He looked a little disheveled, and Jack noticed that there was some blood on his cuffs and his knuckles were broken.

"What did you do?" He was somewhat curious about how Frank got hold of this information, but of course he was mainly worried that there would be trouble later.

Jack had done his best to help cover up the incident, not letting Brian mess with his former colleague in French intelligence, and disposing of Marc Ocha's body.

The plot of the second part of "Taken" is that the family behind Mark Ocha comes to seek revenge on Brian and learns his identity from his former colleague.

It is highly likely that there will not be a second part now. After all, the world is generally developing according to the normal logic. The problem is that Brian is fine now, so Frank must not cause any trouble.

Frank shook his wrist and said nonchalantly, "I just sat down and had a drink with an old friend. The local gangs nowadays are really rude."

Seeing that he didn't want to say more, Jack didn't ask any more questions. Compared to Brian, Frank's identity was much more confidential.

He was active in the late Cold War. The dramatic changes in Eastern Europe were like a major earthquake that affected the entire world, but they also gave birth to a large number of legendary intelligence personnel comparable to 007.

The fact that Frank had two long-term safe houses in Paris alone showed that he must have been active in Eastern and Western Europe quite a lot.

"This auction is ostensibly a banquet, starting at 9pm in Mark Ocha's private club." Frank's face looked a little ugly.

Jack looked at the time. It was already three o'clock in the afternoon. They didn't have much time to prepare. No wonder the bald guy's face looked so dark.

"How are you going to get in?"

It is definitely too late to get an invitation letter or something. Their purpose is to rescue people, not to kill people three times. After all, Paris is the capital of a country, so sneaking in in disguise becomes the only option.

"I heard that you are a good chef?" Frank smiled at Jack.

"Eh?"

-

When a hobby becomes a job, the joy disappears.

Jack poured the sauce on several servings of foie gras with an expressionless face. He estimated that the time was about up, so he found a gap when no one was paying attention and hid in the utility room. He took off his chef uniform, put on a suit, and adjusted his tie to look handsome again.

The hall was crowded with guests, who gathered in groups of three or four and chatted in low voices. No one noticed that there was suddenly an uninvited guest here.

"How can I help you, sir?" Brian, dressed like a waiter with a black bow tie and a white towel on his arm, appeared beside Jack holding a tray.

"Thank you." Jack took a sip of champagne from the tray and asked with a smile, "Excuse me, where is the bathroom?"

"This way." Brian made a please gesture.

The two walked to a secluded place, and Jack whispered, "Have you found Patrice St. Clair?"

Brian nodded and pointed to an inconspicuous door at the other end of the hall. "There's an elevator inside. It should lead to the underground. He just took someone down, but there are people guarding the elevator entrance."

After saying that, he stepped on the trash can next to him, poured all the wine glasses on the tray into it, stuffed the tray behind a pot of green plants, and walked straight into the bathroom.

A moment later, Brian appeared again, also wearing a high-end suit, and the two walked towards the small door together.

After opening the small door, a security guard in a black suit stood in the elevator and asked respectfully, "How can I help you?"

"Let's come to see Mr. St. Clair." Brian said with a smile.

"Please tell me your name." The security guard flipped open the list in his hand.

"John Wick." Jack gave a fake name and closed the small door behind him casually.

"Uh, sorry, your name is not on the list." The security guard looked at Jack with some doubt. Just as he was about to turn his gaze to Brian, he heard Jack continue to smile and answer, "I know."

Before he finished speaking, he suddenly rushed forward and punched the security guard at the bottom of his ribs near the abdomen. The diaphragm between the chest and abdomen was hit hard, and the severe pain could instantly make a person lose the ability to breathe, let alone call for help.

As the security guard bent over in pain, Jack had already moved behind him, grabbed his neck with one hand and pressed the elevator switch with the other hand.

The elevator door opened with a "ding dong" sound, and Jack dragged the still twitching security guard into the elevator. Brian followed closely and pressed the button for the basement floor, and the elevator door slowly closed.

Everything happened in a flash. Before the security guard could try to struggle again, Jack broke his neck with a "crack".

The "ding dong" sound rang again, and the elevator door slowly opened. Brian, holding the "Viper" with a silencer, quickly poked his head out and looked around. After making sure that there was no one in the corridor, he quickly walked out of the elevator and helped open the equipment room next to it.

Jack dragged the body into the equipment room and closed the door again. Then he looked around the basement. This underground auction was quite authentic. The auction venue was really held underground.

Although the elevator just showed the first floor below ground, judging from the time it took to get here from the first floor, the depth should not be less than 10 meters. Jack suspected that this might be part of a civil air defense facility.

There are two passages opposite the elevator. The one on the left is blocked by an iron door. A slight coolness and moisture flow in. Jack silently calculated the location of the building where the club was located and estimated that it should lead directly to the banks of the Seine.

There are several steps on the right side of the passage leading down. The passage is decorated very luxuriously, and the walls are covered with expensive marble-patterned tiles. Needless to say, the auction venue should be right below.
