"I'm Nurse McClintock, and you're Detective Beckett?" The male nurse looked at the person who looked the least like a policeman among the three people present with some confusion.

"I am." Beckett pushed Castle away, lifted his coat to reveal the police badge on his waist, then put his hands behind his back and looked at Castle, "Do you still want to stick to your reasoning?"

"No, although it's different from what I thought, I still insist. It's just that the roles have to be changed."

As if to confirm Cassel's statement, a female doctor in a white coat and long hair passed by the few people and gave a charming smile to the handsome nurse.

"Hi, Greg."

Nurse McClintock smiled back, revealing two sweet dimples. "Hi, Dr. Ackerman."

After saying this, he watched the other person walk away before turning back and asking Beckett enthusiastically, "How can I help you, beautiful detective?"

"We are here to investigate the murder of Dr. Monroe." Before Beckett finished speaking, a female doctor on crutches came over and patted Nurse McClintock on the shoulder.

"Hi, Greg."

"Hello, Dr. Phillips."

The same scene was repeated again. Jack even noticed that although the middle-aged female doctor with a cane had difficulty walking, she still took a few more steps just to say hello to Nurse McClintock.

"Oh, sorry. Oh, by the way, I heard about Dr. Monroe. It was terrible." The popular sunny boy restrained his smile.

Before Beckett could continue asking, Castle spoke first, "We understand that you were the last person to speak to her before she got off work last night."

Nurse McClintock seemed a little absent-minded, her eyes fixed on Beckett's face. "Yes, that's right. We talked for a while."

He looked at Beckett again, his eyes electric, "Detective, your hair frames your face perfectly. You should keep it this way."

"Ah, thank you. Oh, yes, I'm usually like this." Beckett, who was caught off guard by the praise, was a little confused.

Although this was not the first time she had been complimented on her appearance while questioning a suspect, most of the time she would regard it as teasing or even sexual harassment.

But if the other person is handsome enough and his expression is sincere enough, even the experienced female detective doesn't know what expression to respond with for a moment. She subconsciously smiles in response to the other person's compliment, but it disappears in a flash, and she puts on a stern face again and asks.

"Well, as far as we know, your conversation with Dr. Monroe last night was not very pleasant. Can you tell us what happened specifically?"

Hearing this question, Nurse McClintock showed a slightly shy smile on her face, "It's nothing, really."

Seeing that the three of them were all staring at him, and clearly had no intention of giving up, he told the truth, "It's just that she thinks I'm too close to the female residents under her. But sometimes there's nothing wrong with being friendly, right?"

"What happened next?" Cassel asked.

“I walked her to the parking lot, the one near the ambulance access, and assured her that I would try to keep my distance from her female residents.

She thanked me and left with a man I didn’t know.”

"Uh-huh." Cassel was obviously not convinced by what he said, "So you sent Dr. Monroe away, and then you happened to see her leave with a mysterious man?"

"That's what happened." The handsome nurse obviously felt the ridicule and distrust in Cassel's tone, and deliberately emphasized it.

"So where were you between 7 and 9 last night?" Beckett continued, ignoring the sudden tension between the two.

"Are you asking for my alibi? Are you serious, Detective?" The corners of McClintock's mouth curled up slightly, and the smile on his face seemed to indicate that he didn't believe that the beautiful detective in front of him would doubt him.

"Yes." Beckett nodded with a smile.

"Are you serious?" McClintock seemed to think she was joking and confirmed again.

"Yes, that's right." Beckett stopped smiling.

"Really?" The handsome nurse's smile froze on his face, and with an expression of disbelief, he asked Jack, who had been observing him silently, for confirmation again.

"It couldn't be more true." Cassel raised his voice impatiently.

"Well, I was." McClintock frowned in thought, "I was having coffee with Imani, uh, I mean Dr. Phelps, you just met her."

"The one with the wound on his leg?" Beckett was interrupted before he could finish his words.

"No, wait, then I met with Rhonda, uh, Dr. Zims, and we talked for a long time, until almost 10 o'clock."

Seeing the three people looking at him with sharp eyes, McClintock thought they didn't believe him, "I swear, you can go ask them."

-

"How true do you think his words are?" Standing at the hospital entrance, Beckett asked the two followers today.

Cassel, the number one henchman, looked disdainful and said, "I think he is lying."

Jack, the second henchman, was much more objective. "If his IQ wasn't inversely proportional to his appearance, he wouldn't have told such a lie that was so easily exposed."

"We still have to verify it anyway." Beckett glared at Cassel and took out his cell phone. "I'll notify Kevin to come to the hospital to take over the rest of the investigation."

"There is also a forensic team. Ask them to take samples of carpets from all over the hospital. This may save some time," Jack added.

Castle wanted to take Beckett with him to Las Vegas, but it was obvious that the female detective would not be in the mood to do so before the case was solved, and of course she didn't have the time.

So in addition to helping to follow up on the progress of the CSI laboratory, Jack also took on an extra job to investigate Dr. Monroe's financial situation.

When he stepped into the detective's office of the 12th Precinct again after dinner, he happened to meet Kevin Ryan, who had just returned from the hospital, and of course Cassel, who was sitting in front of Beckett's desk doing nothing.

"Unfortunately, Dr. Rhonda Zims confirmed the suspect's alibi, and by the way, she's really hot." Kevin held a thick document bag in his hand.

"She repeatedly stressed to me what a great listener McClintock was and how he would give her lovely little gifts."

"Aha, I knew my hospital love triangle murder motive inference was valid." Cassel jumped up from his seat upon hearing this.
