Chapter 1016: The Unlucky Case of the Most Wanted Criminal Team (Part )

If things had ended there, it would have been an unexpected tragedy. Although Fred Duncan Jr. was the culprit, the whole case was not something that would have destroyed one's worldview.

But when Jiejie and Hannah reported the vehicle driven by Todd Carter and Vicki Brokaw through the Pennsylvania State Police system, they soon received feedback.

A tragic murder just happened in a small town called Bryn Mawr. An elderly couple in their 60s were killed. The neighbors heard the gunshots and called the police directly. When the police arrived, they found an old Infiniti sedan in the driveway in front of the house.

This Infiniti was the one driven by Todd Carter and Vicki Brokaw. The Most Wanted Squad arrived soon and were surprised to see the bodies of the two in the trunk of the car.

The case suddenly became complicated. Jubal speculated that Todd Carter and Vicki Brokaw were killed by Fred Duncan Jr., but this could not explain the tragic death of the old couple in the house.

The elderly couple are Sally and Dan Wiggins. The husband, Dan Wiggins, was shot in the head. The murder weapon is probably the 9mm pistol that Todd Carter used at the family amusement center the day before.

His wife Sally Wiggins was beaten to death with a poker placed in front of the fireplace. The scene was extremely tragic.

It was obvious that this was a typical revenge killing, so Alice dug into Sally Wiggins's past, especially her and her husband's financial situation.

When she investigated an account of Sally Wiggins before her marriage, she found a huge sum of $30 from more than 25 years ago.

Although the money was divided into many small amounts and took almost a year to arrive in full, it was still $90 in the 25s and looked very eye-catching.

Alice quickly found the source of the funds, a company called FD Entertainment, which belonged to Fred Duncan Jr.'s father, Fred Sr.

Fred Sr. died in 2010, and Fred Jr. inherited his estate, including the entertainment properties, but has been losing money in recent years due to poor management, to the point where he now has to commit insurance fraud to repay his son William's gambling debts.

After finding the intersection, everyone placed their breakthrough on Sally Wiggins and discovered that she was the only witness to a rape and murder case.

In 35, a girl named Jessica Booker died in the Duncan family's old house. She was the daughter of the Duncan gardener, and the murderer was identified as Angelo Carpenter.

Angelo was working as a tutor for Fred Duncan Jr. at the time to earn money. There were only three people in the house on the night of the incident: Angelo Carpenter, Fred Jr., and Sally, the Duncan family's housekeeper.

The only evidence the prosecution used to convict her was Sally's testimony that Angelo had assaulted Jessica and then pushed her down the stairs, causing her death.

Over the past 35 years, Angelo has been appealing, claiming that it was Fred Sr. who bribed the housekeeper Sally to give false testimony and that the real murderer was actually Fred Jr.

But even after he had spent a full 35 years in prison, turning from an ignorant young man into a 50-year-old old man, his appeal was still unsuccessful.

Three weeks ago, Angelo was released from prison and began his revenge plan.

He first went to find Fred Jr.'s son William, but unfortunately he was a step late. When he entered the amusement center, a fire had already broken out.

When Angelo saw William lying in a pool of blood, he mistakenly thought that he had been shot dead. He left the name "Assassin" on an old game console and followed the couple who set the fire.

He then killed the two men and obtained Fred Jr.'s anonymous cell phone number from them, but Angelo did not kill him immediately. Instead, he drove the car with the corpse to the housekeeper Sally's home and killed her and her husband.

At this time, the wanted criminal team also found another insider of the rape and murder case 35 years ago, William Duncan's sister, Rachel Dunn, Fred Jr.'s daughter.

In fact, Rachel Dunn discovered her father's evil deeds that year, but when she told her mother about it, she was surprised to find that not only did her mother turn a blind eye to it, but her grandfather even chose to cover up for her son and frame others. So she ran away from home in anger.

She then changed her last name from Duncan to Dunn and never had any contact with the Duncan family again.

After figuring out all this, the Most Wanted Criminals team believed that Angelo's target of revenge was the entire Duncan family, including Rachel Dunn, who had changed her name.

However, by the time everyone realized this, it was too late. Rachel Dunn's underage daughter, Ally, had been kidnapped by Angelo, and then he kidnapped Fred Jr.

Then Angelo's revenge plan entered its climax, which was also the most devastating part. He took the two to the old house of Duncan's family, where the tragedy happened 35 years ago.

One thing that needs to be noted here is that because Rachel Dunn had been cut off from her family since she was a child, Fred Jr. did not know that he had this granddaughter.

In the old house of the Duncan family, in the bedroom where Fred Jr. abused Jessica, Angelo explained everything to the grandfather and grandson who had never met before.

Angelo then pointed the gun at little Fred and demanded that he repeat his atrocities right there in the bedroom.

So a disgusting scene happened. When his life was threatened, the gray-haired little Fred actually surrendered.

Fortunately, the wanted criminal team found Angelo's whereabouts through road surveillance in time and guessed his destination.

If Hannah hadn't rushed into the Duncan family's old house and kicked open the bedroom door with all her strength, tragedy would have almost happened.

The ending of the story is not dramatic at all, and even makes people feel a little sad.

Angelo was caught up by Clay and Aubrey while escaping. Not wanting to go to jail again, he raised his gun and tried to resist, but was shot dead.

The main culprit in the whole incident, the most damnable Fred, survived with only some insignificant "minor injuries" and a heavy kick between the legs from Hannah.

Fortunately, innocent Ellie was just a little frightened, but according to Jiejie's judgment, she may need to undergo considerable psychological counseling for a period of time.

After listening to the whole case, Jack also said that it was difficult to comment. He didn't even know how to comfort everyone's "traumatized" hearts. Anyway, this time it was definitely not something that could be solved by just having a good meal.
