Everything about sitting, lying, writing, eating, and "convenience" are all within this small world.

At night, the examination shed is a long alley, and the wind and rain cannot protect it, making it even colder than outside.

The conditions are very crude.

But students can reach the sky in one step through this place.

After ten years of hard work, it only took a few hours in Gongyuan to be verified. Among them, there are many people who will move into official careers, and some who will lose their reputation.

There are five county examinations, the first on the ninth day of the lunar month, the second on the [-]th, the third on the [-]th, the fourth on the [-]th, and the fifth on the [-]st.

Each show requires roll call on the first day, namely the eighth, eleventh, fourteenth, seventeenth and twentieth days of the lunar month.

Students who want to leap over the dragon's gate through reading must go through various examinations such as county examination, prefecture examination, township examination, joint examination and palace examination.

The first exam: County exam

It is presided over by the county magistrate of the county where the candidate is located, and the examination is usually held in February of the lunar calendar every year.

Candidates who pass the county examination are qualified to take the government examination and are collectively called children.

The second exam: government exam

It is presided over by the prefect, and the examination is usually held in April of each year in the lunar calendar.

Candidates who pass the government examination are qualified to take the college examination and are collectively called students or scholars.

Even if a student or scholar has achieved fame, he does not need to join the army or kneel in court.

The third exam: Provincial Examination

An examination is held every three years in various state capitals (including the capital). It is also called Qiuwei because it is held on the ninth, twelfth and fifteenth days of the eighth lunar month in autumn.

The examiner is appointed by the emperor.

After the examination, the main and deputy lists are released. The person selected for the main list is called Juren, and the first place is called Jieyuan.

The fourth exam: General examination

An examination is held in Kyoto every three years. It is also called Chunwei because it is held on the ninth, twelfth and fifteenth day of the second month of the spring lunar calendar.

The examination was presided over by the Ministry of Rites, and the emperor appointed presidents and vice-presidents. All candidates from various states and Imperial College students could take the examination. Three hundred people were admitted as tribute scholars, and the first one was named Huiyuan.

The fifth exam: Imperial Examination

The palace examination is the highest level examination in the imperial examination system. The emperor personally questioned the tributes admitted in the imperial examination to determine the first place.

In fact, the emperor sometimes appointed ministers to be in charge of palace examinations, but did not personally conduct inquiries.

Admissions are divided into three categories: first, third, and third, and the title of "Jinshi and No." is given, and the first one is called the number one scholar.

The second place was ranked second.

The third name is Tanhua.

There are several names in Erjia, which are given the title of "Jinshi origin";

Although their grades are not high, the No. [-], No. [-], and No. [-] picks have the qualifications to be selected as certain officials and to enter the top management of the central government, so they have a better way out.

Shujishi

Other Jinshi took another imperial examination, mainly to select Shujishi.

Outstanding Jinshi were selected from the imperial examination as Shujishi and studied in the Common Hall. At the end of the three-year period, they were examined and assigned work, which was called disbanding the hall.

For Jinshi who are not admitted as Shujishi, their grades are mainly six or seven grades, and the most awarded officials are in two forms: one is the head of the ministry, the lowest official among division-level officials, the sixth grade;

The second is to be awarded to the county magistrate, which is the seventh rank.

There are the most vacancies for chief officials and county magistrates, and they are all in the learning stage. The magistrates awarded to counties by Jinshi are also conferred to some counties with simple vacancies. After three years, they will be transferred to counties with more important vacancies as magistrates.
