Peace and Friendship Hogwarts

Chapter 72 Harry especially wants Voldemort to die again

Severus didn't end up seeing Harry put on the dress he picked out for the Yule Ball.

The night before the Yule Ball, the searing pain in Severus's left forearm called him out of Hogwarts and brought him to Voldemort's side.

Time was so tight that Severus informed no one except Dumbledore.

In the dead of night, Severus' departure did not alarm anyone, not even the owl that flew out of the window of Principal Dumbledore's office.

The magical defense barrier outside Malfoy Manor flickered brightly in the night for a few seconds, and then fell silent in the night.

The Yule Ball is here as scheduled, and every wizard in Hogwarts is happily trying on their ball gowns.

In the Gryffindor common room, Ron was complaining to Hermione that the dress his mother sent him was too strange in color and very old in style.

But Hermione didn't think there was anything wrong with this outdated dress. "Ron, although it is a bit outdated, don't you find that it suits your body shape very well?"

"Mrs. Weasley must have carefully tailored it to your size."

Hermione lifted up the rose-colored dress she was wearing and twirled it half a circle in front of Ron, "Look, it matches the color of the long dress I'm wearing."

Ron pursed his lips slightly, stretched out his hand to hug Hermione's arm, and leaned gently on Hermione's shoulder, "Min, you are so kind."

Hermione would always encourage him and help him leap out of his occasional low self-esteem.

"By the way, why hasn't Harry come back yet?" Hermione patted Ron's head lovingly, "The ball is about to start, and Harry hasn't tried on the dress his godfather gave him yet."

"Harry told me that he went to find Principal Dumbledore and would be back soon." Ron stood up straight and looked at the door of the Gryffindor lounge with some confusion.

Harry's will be back soon, it's been so long.

After Harry's first competition, he and Hermione went to apologize to Harry for their concealment and deliberate alienation.

But Harry told them that they didn't need to apologize to him. He had already guessed why they would do this.

Harry believed in him and Hermione and believed that they would do his best.

Because they are best friends.

.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, I'm not in my right mind."

Dumbledore, who was sitting opposite Harry, was puzzled for a moment when he saw Harry telling him very seriously that he was abnormal.

"Why do you think that? Harry."

Harry stretched out his hand and pointed to the lightning-shaped scar on his left forehead, which represented that he was the savior of the wizarding world. "I feel like there is something in my mind that does not belong to me. He has been trying to talk to me, and even trying to bewitch me."

Dumbledore's eyes were slightly focused behind his half-moon lenses, and his soft expression began to take on a serious tone, "When did it start? Harry."

"Start from when I can see reality that is not a dream in my dreams."

Ever since the night in Malfoy Manor when he was seriously affected by something inexplicable, he could always hear voices in his head that didn't belong to him from time to time.

Dumbledore looked at Harry, who had a determined look on his face. He did not ask how the voice had tricked Harry, "Have you already made your own guess? Harry."

"That thing has affected you now, so you came to find me, right?"

Harry unconsciously touched the scar on his forehead. He originally thought that the sudden voice in his head was just his negative psychology due to excessive mental stress.

It wasn't until the impact of the voice on him became more and more powerful, even greater than the worst thing he could think of, that he realized that the voice was not another spirit split from his self.

He would never feel abandoned or ignored because of Draco's interactions with his family.

What's more, Draco is the one who puts his family first.

"I...that thing in my head, is it Voldemort's thing? Principal Dumbledore."

"I know, Principal Dumbledore, I don't have the ability to kill Voldemort."

It was his parents who killed Voldemort.

"Whether it's now or before."

"But I do have an indelible scar marked by Voldemort on my forehead." Harry clenched his hands on the table into fists. "I will not have a visual connection with Voldemort for no reason... ....”

"What is going on in my head? Principal Dumbledore, I want to know..." Harry's voice trembled.

"I'm afraid that one day, I will really be seduced by it."

Under the warm yellow light, Dumbledore could clearly see the panic, fear and sadness floating in Harry's eyes.

"Harry..." Dumbledore did not expect that the pressure on Harry's heart was greater than he imagined.

"You've done a great job, Harry."

"Principal Dumbledore!"

Harry noticed that Dumbledore seemed not to tell him the answer he wanted to know. He looked into Dumbledore's eyes sincerely, but after a while, he lowered his head and said, "Please, Dumbledore." Principal Lido, I don’t want to be tempted by it.”

"I want to know what it is and why I can't stop it even with all the Occlumency I've learned."

He didn't want him to become anything less than himself.

He didn't want to go down a road he didn't want to go.

He doesn't want his godfather, friends, and teachers to embarrass him.

He didn't want to antagonize Draco.

Dumbledore was indeed a little shocked by Harry's progress.

Occlumency, it sounded like Harry had Occlumency running in his head all the time.

Maybe he shouldn't deprive Harry of his right to know in a way that he thought was for Harry's benefit.

"Harry," Dumbledore's voice softened unconsciously, "there may be fragments of Voldemort's soul in the scar on your forehead."

Voldemort's soul fragment? !

Harry suddenly reached out his hand and covered his forehead.

Thin bloodshot eyes gradually condensed in his eyes, and his emerald green eyes trembled a little. There were fragments of Voldemort's soul in his mind!

How disgusting.

Harry suddenly felt like a monster.

"What do I need to do? Principal Dumbledore."

"In the Triwizard Tournament."

No one wanted Voldemort to be resurrected, and Harry especially wanted Voldemort to die again.

Everything he was supposed to have was destroyed because of Voldemort.

However, everything he has now is only because of Voldemort's mark on him.

He is like a container - a container that stores the fragments of Voldemort's soul.

This damn soul fragment actually tried to drive a wedge between him and Draco.

Dumbledore didn't expect that Harry would guess the real reason behind his participation in the Triwizard Tournament. Hesitation flashed in his blue eyes for a long time, "Harry..."

Did he...do something wrong?
