Rebirth: My 80s

The book was started in April 03, and as of today, it has been roughly two years and 4 million words, and the book is now completed.

My writing speed is slow and the quality is not high, and the reason is all my own.

I still remember that the average order was over 200 when it was put on the shelves, and now the average order is 2,600. After all, it has not reached the level of a high-quality product.

First of all, the book was written in a hurry, and a detailed outline was not made, so the characters were not vivid enough, the plot was not tight enough, the excitement was not prominent, and the content was bland... In short, there were many problems. The foundation determines the superstructure. If the author is not very talented, the superstructure will be crooked if the foundation is not solid.

In addition, when I returned to my hometown last year, my wife was unemployed and my father also needed a job. Starting from May last year, I spent a lot of energy to set up a small shop, which resulted in a decrease in the amount of updates, unstable updates, and a decline in quality.

Here, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the readers who have accompanied me and read this book to the end. Thank you for your dedication and thank you for your tolerance.

Next, I will prepare the new book seriously, and will write some extra chapters of this book from time to time, trying to explain the fate of each main character clearly.

The new book will be set in the Xianxia setting, but it will not be a traditional Xianxia novel. It will emphasize “Xia” rather than “Xian”.

The new book will focus on the story and connotation, with a fairy-tale background as the background, in line with the characteristics of online literature, embedded with ancient Chinese philosophical thoughts and the unprecedented prosperity of a hundred schools of thought, and adding some wild imagination, to write a story with the theme of resistance.

For this purpose, I bought a lot of books, such as Mr. Feng Youlan's "A Brief History of Chinese Philosophy", Yi Zhongtian's "Pre-Qin Philosophers", "Four Books", "Five Classics", "Complete Works of Wang Mingyang", etc. It takes time to read them and acquire the essence of traditional culture in order to integrate them into new books.

At the same time, I have also drawn up a list of online novels, and I will read them one by one to learn from other excellent authors' abilities in story arrangement, story rhythm, creation of exciting points, character portrayal, story structure, etc.

The new book strives to correct past mistakes. A complete outline will be prepared before starting the book, biographies will be written for each major character, and a considerable amount of manuscripts will be accumulated.

So it may take two to three months.

It is currently expected that the book will be published in May.
