I, Hogwarts Week Two

Chapter 580 Merlin's Secret Treasure

Bill woke up.

He walked into the small foyer where everyone was sitting in the living room, concentrating on discussing their plan to take back Hogwarts.

The house is decorated in light colors and beautifully. A small piece of driftwood picked up from the beach is burning in the fireplace, emitting bright light.

The plan to retake Hogwarts was simple. The DA had discussed it many times before. Theseus Scamander only made some minor additions, as well as the most important issue of subsequent defense.

"Are you going to take back Hogwarts?" said Bill.

"Yeah." Hermione responded.

"Is the final battle coming?" Bill took a deep breath. "The goblin's side."

"Is he awake?" asked Theseus Scamander.

"I noticed some noise coming from that room when I went downstairs just now."

"Come and have a look," said Theseus Scamander.

Bill nodded and led the way.

"This way." They climbed the stairs and Bill passed his and Fleur's room.

Walk towards the room inside.

Then he reached out and knocked on the door.

After a pause, a weak voice came from inside, "Come in."

Bill opened the door.

The room was obviously cast under an Infinite Extension Charm, and contained three beds, which might have been transformed by Transfiguration.

On the two beds near the door, two goblins were still sleeping.

On the bed next to the window, the goblin has woken up.

Hermione walked in with everyone else.

They walked lightly and sat on the sofa opposite the bed.

"We need to talk." Theseus Scamander said directly, then glanced at Hermione, motioning her to come and ask questions.

"I know." The goblin replied.

Hermione calmed down and asked, "Hello, are you the goblin collector Nagnok? Or do you know where he is?"

"I am Nagnok," the goblin said bluntly. His face was very pale and his eyes were full of fatigue.

Hermione was a little surprised. She didn't expect that they would actually run into Nagnok by chance.

"Ahem, hello Mr. Nagnok." Hermione said, "I'm sorry about what happened to the goblin, but the situation is urgent. I want to ask if you know about the magical weapon [Blade of Prometheus]?"

"Are you here for that thing too?" Nagnok's face darkened.

"You seem to know a lot," Hermione said, "so you should know what will happen if the You-Know-Who gets hold of that weapon."

"I know very well. Human," said Nagnok.

"It was because the goblin possessed this weapon that disaster struck."

"The goblins are more than just a little trouble." Sirius interrupted, "You occupy too many things."

"The goblins found it, it's ours," Nagnok retorted. He shifted in his bed and winced in pain.

"What's the point of saying that?" Sirius sneered, "But others don't think so."

"Sure enough, you wand-carrying people are all the same. Always thinking about stealing the goblins' wealth."

"A man with a wand?" Harry thought the word sounded strange.

"The right to carry a wand," the goblin whispered, "is something that wizards and goblins have long fought over.

"Goblins can perform magic without wands," said Ginny, who was beside Harry.

"That's not the truth! Wizards refuse to share the secrets of wand lore with other magical beings, preventing us from expanding our power!"

"Goblins won't reveal their magic either," Ginny shot back. "You won't tell us how to make swords and armor. Goblins forge metals in a way that wizards never have—"

"That's not the point." Nagnok laughed maliciously. "As the Dark Lord becomes more powerful, your race becomes more firmly established above us! Gringotts is controlled by wizards, goblins are slaughtered, who with a wand will protest?"

"Perhaps you have forgotten." Sirius sneered, "But do you want me to remind you that it was us, the group of people with wands, who saved your life a few hours ago!"

"You are trying to get the precious secrets about goblins out of me!" Nagnok said bluntly, "What is the difference between you and the Dark Lord?"

"The difference is that you can still talk to us properly now, instead of me waving my wand to pry your brain open, idiot!" Sirius said viciously.

"Okay Sirius, stop provoking him." Hermione interrupted quickly. She looked at Nagnok again, "Sir, I am not interested in what you did before. You should talk about the [Blade of Prometheus] first. I don't think you want to see the You-Know-Who become more powerful."

"Yes, I don't want to." The goblin said through gritted teeth.

After a pause, he began to narrate as if accepting his fate: "That thing was not originally called this name. According to the information we found in ancient books, it should be called [Star Blade].

Hundreds of years ago, goblins discovered this strange weapon from the ruins. It was very special. Any creature that came into contact with its blade would suddenly self-immolate and then be burned to death.

We spent decades working on it, and then someone took it away from us.”

"Stolen? By a mysterious person?"

"No——" Nagnok shook his head. "It was the most famous wizard among you humans, the great wizard named Merlin. He changed the name of Star Blade and said that he was just like Prometheus who stole fire, and it was time to return the fire to the gods."

"Merlin?" Hermione was startled. Although she was a little surprised to see Merlin here, she didn't find it strange. She knew that Merlin was the heir, so it was quite reasonable for the other party to find a goblin.

"Wait - if Merlin took the Star Blade, then what did the You-Know-Who took?" Harry interrupted.

"Who tells you which weapon is complete, boy?" said Nagnok.

"I think you should be aware of the purpose of that weapon." Nagnok looked at Hermione, "So how could it be intact? The ancient wizard broke it. Merlin took the handle, and the You-Know-Who took the tip."

"So the current [Star Blade] is completely useless?" Hermione asked in surprise.

"How should I know?" Nagnok said impatiently, "We haven't tried it. But I can tell you that even if it's just the tip of the blade, it has great power. It may be useful, or it may not be useful."

"Then do you know where Merlin took the other part of the Star Blade?" Harry asked.

"Haha—" Nagnok stared at Harry as if he was an idiot.

That look made Harry feel a little uneasy.

At this moment, suddenly an idea flashed in his mind, and an idea came to his mouth, ready to come out.

"It's Hogwarts!"

"In the past, your goblin brotherhood attacked Hogwarts just to get that weapon back."

"Hehe——" Nagnok laughed coldly.

"Fuck you." Fred yelled from behind Bill, "I really want to beat the crap out of you, you idiot."

The Weasley family has a blood feud with goblins.

All the secrets are revealed.

Initially, the goblins attacked Hogwarts to take back the weapon that Merlin had taken away, but the subsequent battle with Shani caused them to change their goal.

After all, the weapon Merlin took away was illusory, but Shani was real.

What you can get from assassinating an heir is enough to rival a broken sword.

Bill and Ginny both looked hateful.

They are all true.

How could they easily forget the terrible suffering that their ancestor Shani suffered before her death?

The goblin used despicable means, using her child to force Shani to wear the cursed crown of thorns. The moment she put it on, the thorns pierced into her body as if alive, devouring her flesh and blood.

Bill couldn't imagine how his ancestors had managed to escape the goblins' encirclement under such torture.

But the process was absolutely brutal.

"Huh..." Bill took a deep breath, "I'm going to go out and get some fresh air."

He had a strong desire to kill the goblin in front of him.

He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to control himself if he stayed here.

"Let's go too," Hermione said, standing up.

She naturally knew where Merlin had hidden the broken sword.

She, Owen and Victor were the only ones in the whole Hogwarts who knew about that place.

Now, she had to return to Hogwarts as soon as possible.

Everyone moved quickly.

After confirming the news, he went back to execute the plan without stopping immediately.

Harry, Hermione and the others also returned to the alchemy workshop.

Theseus Scamander's plan was simple.

First, let some wizards go to Hogwarts through the tunnel.

Then send a large army to attack head-on.

When they were in a stalemate with the Death Eaters, those wizards suddenly jumped out and launched an attack.

Although this plan is simple, it has a high success rate.

Because the Death Eaters didn't expect that wizards from the Order of the Phoenix had already ambushed in the castle.

As a decisive battle, Theseus Scamander prepared to mobilize all his manpower.

What matters is not retaking Hogwarts, but facing Voldemort's subsequent attack.

Preparation for war takes time.

Theseus Scamander decided to time the attack for the early morning of December 1996, 12.

When the New Year’s bell rings, the decisive battle begins.

During the remaining time, everyone was making intensive preparations.

All the wizards who came to support from various European countries gathered in Hogsmeade village.

Ron and Koyatel also rushed back.

As for Hermione, she couldn't wait for the wizards of the anti-Voldemort alliance to attack Hogwarts.

The day after returning to the alchemy workshop, she sneaked into Hogwarts.

With the help of Harry's invisibility cloak, she easily reached the library.

Passing through the secret room under the library, she easily opened the stone door leading to Merlin's secret room with the help of the [Star Tears] left to her by Owen.

Stepping into the corridor of the Chamber of Secrets again, Hermione felt a strong sense of loss in her heart.

Maybe it was the girl's sixth sense. This feeling became stronger as she got closer to the hall of the secret room.

"What's wrong kid, why are you here?"

Under the tree canopy that blocked out the sun, the huge mirror slowly turned.

Dean Brigid's image appeared in the mirror.

"Professor." Hermione calmed down and said, "I'm here to retrieve a magical weapon left here by Master Merlin."

"Magic weapon?" Brighid frowned slightly. "Child, I don't know what the great wizard Merlin left behind, but only the heir has the key to open the treasure door."

"Do you know what the key is?" Hermione asked.

"No——" Dean Brigid shook her head, "But I believe that thing will be on Owen."

"This--" Hermione did not give in, but changed the way of asking questions, "Can you show me what 'the lock' looks like? Maybe I can find a way."

"Well - okay." But seeing that Hermione was persistent, Dean Bridget did not refuse. She intended to let the girl in front of her give up.

As her voice fell.

The huge mirror suddenly began to ripple like water.

Then, a small dent appeared behind the water.

"This is the lock." Dean Brigid's voice still came from the mirror, "If you want to find the key, you must pass a test left by Master Merlin."

"you"

Hermione didn't hear what Dean Bridget said next. At this moment, she was completely focused on the dent.

The more I look at it, the more familiar it seems.

Then, Hermione took out the stone door that helped her open the chamber of secrets. It was the treasure that Owen gave her.

【Star Tears】

"This--" Dean Bridget stopped talking suddenly.

Although I couldn't see her appearance at this time, I could tell from her voice that the dean must be very surprised.

"Where did you find it, kid?"

Before Dean Bridget could finish her words, Hermione embedded her teardrop in the dent.

The next second, the mirror burst out with thousands of dark and deep lights.

It was as if a hole was torn in the clouds.

A path actually appeared in the mirror.

Hermione hesitated for a moment, then walked straight in.

Stepping into the mirror, the little witch felt dizzy and the scene around her quickly became blurred and clear, finally freezing in a strange space that she had never seen before.

This was not any part of Hogwarts, nor was it any secret room or forbidden place she had ever explored.

There was a faint, indescribable magical scent in the air, and the surroundings were shrouded in a soft and mysterious light.

She looked around and found that this was a path paved with countless bright stars. Every step she took seemed to be on the Milky Way. The starlight twinkled under her feet, leading her into the depths of the unknown.

Finally she came to a platform made up of stars.

From a distance, she saw a person kneeling on the platform.

The man had long silver hair and was wearing a very ancient court-style costume.

There was a sword beside him.

The whole person was kneeling on the ground in a curled up position.

Hermione stepped forward cautiously.

Walked to the front of the man.

"Merlin?"

The little witch looked at the wizard kneeling on the ground in shock. He had a face exactly like Merlin.

The man held a broken-blade dagger shaped like a candlestick in both hands.

The other end of the dagger pierced his heart.

Suddenly, a gentle and ancient voice sounded in her heart. The voice seemed to have traveled through time and space, with endless wisdom and kindness: "Sure enough, it will be you who comes here."

"Hermione Granger."
