Hogwarts: I'm a model wizard
Chapter 845 The plan begins
After all, the Oblivion Spell was not a Stunning Spell, and after Kyle brought Aberforth downstairs, he woke up quickly.
But Aberforth, who had woken up, had obviously forgotten what had just happened. He rubbed his forehead, not understanding why he was on the floor of the living room, and his legs were so painful, as if someone had dragged him all the way down the stairs.
But how was this possible? In this house, besides him, the only other person was Ariana, who looked like an ordinary girl. It was impossible that Ariana had dragged herself down.
Aberforth shook his head, thinking that he had fallen asleep on the sofa and accidentally fell off, causing a wound from his previous trip to the woods.
Because of the noise at night, he hadn't slept well these past few days and was groggy all day, so it was no surprise that he suddenly fell asleep on the sofa.
Aberforth stood up and staggered towards the room upstairs, cursing his irresponsible brother in a low voice. If Dumbledore was there, he wouldn't have to work so hard... At least he wouldn't have to take care of Ariana alone day and night like now.
Thinking of this, Aberforth cursed even louder.
During this process, his voice was recorded by a small ear-shaped object in the corner.
Kyle was sitting in a secluded place outside, holding the other half of the retractable ear in his hand, and heard the entire process of him scolding Dumbledore.
I have to say, this resentment is really great. If the same surname did not limit Aberforth's output, he would probably have cursed even more foully.
Kyle didn't put away his retractable ears until he saw Aberforth walk into his room through the window and start doing his homework with a quill.
Fortunately, he didn't plan to go to the attic again, otherwise, he would have to make another trip.
Kyle then released the Billywig worm and let it go to the southern entrance of the valley. He then went to the barn and waited patiently inside.
After an unknown amount of time, the Billywig worm came back first. It flew to Kyle's side and kept gesticulating up and down, making a slight buzzing sound.
"You saw two wizards, didn't you?" Kyle asked.
The Billywig worm began to fly up and down again, appearing to be nodding.
In fact, it was nodding, but its wings were above its head and the movement was a little bigger.
There is no doubt that the two wizards coming from the south at this time are most likely Grindelwald and Dumbledore.
Kyle stood up and prepared to alert Dumbledore, but as soon as he left the barn, he saw Dumbledore standing outside.
"Professor, I was just about to come look for you," Kyle said. "They are almost back. Do you have any results?"
As he spoke, Kyle subconsciously looked towards Dumbledore's left.
Although Dumbledore seemed to be the only one outside, he could feel that Ariana was there too, and right next to him.
Sure enough, the next second, the air around Dumbledore suddenly fluctuated, and Ariana's face appeared from under the invisibility cloak.
Her eyes were red, probably because she had just cried.
"Now that you have made your decision, it's fine." Kyle then took out a small bottle filled with potion, walked up and gently pulled a hair from Ariana's head and put it in the bottle.
"Then according to the plan, it will be the fake Ariana's turn to appear next."
The potion in the bottle began to tumble, gradually changing from brown to a very clean sky blue.
"Hmm...it shouldn't taste too bad." Kyle muttered softly.
But just as he was about to drink it, the potion in his hand was suddenly snatched away.
"Professor?" Kyle looked at Dumbledore in confusion. "Are you going to regret it?"
"No." Dumbledore shook his head and said, "The plan must continue, but the division of labor needs to be changed. I have to stay here and you will take care of Ariana."
"I disagree." Kyle frowned.
It is not easy to deceive the young you and Grindelwald. Small tricks will not work, and unrealistic ones will not work either.
In other words, the person who plays Ariana must actually receive a spell, and it must be the kind of spell that is fatal to ordinary people.
With the help of a special Shield Charm, Kyle was confident that he could get away with it without revealing any flaws, but Dumbledore... in his current state, it would be difficult for him to withstand a single spell.
"I know what you mean." Dumbledore explained softly, "Ariana is my sister, and I made this decision, so no matter what the risk is, I should bear it instead of letting you take the risk for me."
"But……"
"Also." Dumbledore interrupted Kyle, "You are not familiar with the people who will appear next, but I know them, especially Aberforth. Any slight mistake may arouse his suspicion. You can't be perfect.
"But the scene that happened afterwards is engraved in my memory like a knife. Every detail has been repeated for decades. Only my fake Ariana would not reveal any flaws."
"This……"
Kyle was silent.
Dumbledore was right. The most important step afterwards was not to kill Ariana, but to deceive everyone present. In this regard, Dumbledore was indeed more suitable than him.
Just one thing...
"Professor, are you sure you're going to pretend to be Ariana, not die in her place?"
"Don't worry, I understand your concerns." Dumbledore said with a smile: "Speaking of which, Grindelwald and I were only teenagers at that time. Although there are some troubles, they are just troubles. I still want to see Ariana again."
As he said this, he turned around and looked at his sister again.
"Ok."
Judging from the time, Grindelwald and Dumbledore should be here soon, so Kyle didn't say anything else.
He walked over to Arianna and led her out of the barn.
Dumbledore watched from behind and drank the potion in the bottle.
At the same time, young Grindelwald and Dumbledore also returned to the valley.
Grindelwald had a gloomy face the whole time and didn't seem to be in a good mood.
"It's okay, Gellert." Dumbledore said beside him, "The Hallows have been missing for hundreds of years. It's normal that it's not easy to find."
"But I also prepared for a long time." Grindelwald crushed the flowers on the roadside with his foot. "I prepared for half a year and even risked being expelled from school just to get here as soon as possible. But the answer I got was this... The family moved away?!"
"We can keep looking."
"Don't comfort me, it's useless." Grindelwald said angrily, "You can see that there are only a few old wizards who are not much stronger than Squibs. They don't even remember where the others moved to. Even Legilimency is useless."
"You used Legilimency on them?" Dumbledore frowned.
He remembered that those people were already very old, and their fragile bodies made it difficult for them to withstand the effects of magic, especially Legilimency, a magic that targeted memory, which would likely make their already not-so-bright minds even more confused.
More importantly, judging from the clues found, the family suddenly moved away decades ago, and even left many things behind. How could they have had time to tell their neighbors about their whereabouts?
There is little point in using Legilimency.
And the important thing is, Grindelwald had clearly promised him not to use violence.
"I must find the whereabouts of the Hallows. I cannot miss even the smallest clue." Grindelwald spoke to himself without noticing Dumbledore's change at this moment.
The two walked all the way to the door of their home.
"I need to go back and rest." Dumbledore said directly, and did not stay with Grindelwald until the evening as usual.
"Oh, okay." Grindelwald said absentmindedly, "I have to go back and ask my aunt about the Hallows. See you tomorrow."
"Albus, how dare you come back!"
At this moment, an angry shout suddenly came.
Aberforth pushed the door open angrily, "You left suddenly without saying a word, don't you know that Ariana needs someone to take care of her now?
"Or do you wish she would die sooner, so that no one can hold you back and stop you from traveling around the world with this bastard!"
"No, Aberforth, it is not what you think. I can explain it," said Dumbledore.
"Explain?" Aberforth sneered. "Isn't it true that you ran away? Fortunately, it's vacation now. If Hogwarts had started, would you, a bastard, leave Ariana alone at home and let her fend for herself?"
"I will never do that!" said Dumbledore firmly. "I will never do that!"
"That's a nice thing to say." Aberforth panted and looked at the two people in front of him angrily, "You have changed since you met this bastard. I can see that you don't want to stay here. You think you are an owl trapped in a cage, and Ariana is that cage."
Dumbledore stood there in silence.
In a sense, Aberforth was right, he did think so.
"You want to display your talents? That's fine. I'll help you. I'll drop out of school tomorrow. Get out of here and never come back!"
"Enough, you idiot!" Grindelwald walked quickly forward, drew his wand, and looked at Aberforth fiercely.
"Don't take your incompetence out on Albus. He has the ability to change the entire wizarding world. Such a person shouldn't be guarding a Squib. This is a blasphemy to his talent!"
"Squib?" Aberforth's eyes instantly filled with blood, and he also pulled out his wand. "Bastard, you will pay for your actions!"
“How dare you scold me!” Grindelwald also got angry and pointed with his right hand:
"Heart-breaking and bone-cutting!"
……
The shrill screams instantly resounded throughout the valley, followed by noisy screams and shouts, so loud that even Kyle, who was about to walk out of the valley, could hear it.
He waved his wand and the sound stopped abruptly.
Feeling the sudden trembling in his palm, Kyle said softly, "It should be the evil bird. Its cry is really unpleasant, isn't it?"
"Evil bird...what is that?" Because the sound lasted for a moment and then disappeared, Ariana in the invisibility cloak did not hear it clearly.
She subconsciously looked back, but her view was completely blocked by the lush woods behind her and she could not see anything.
"A magical animal," said Kyle. "Its piercing cry can cause anyone who hears it to hallucinate and see their worst fears. If it were you, you would probably see Aberforth being hung up and beaten."
Kyle spoke so seriously that Ariana was so scared that she quickly covered her ears.
Kyle smiled and looked back as well.
He actually knew very well that the conflict had already begun, and it would be the fake Ariana's turn to appear next.
He didn't know whether Dumbledore could act well in this play, or whether he would turn his fake play into reality and get himself involved, but it was no use thinking about it now.
Judging from the noise just now, the conflict has already broken out. Even if he regrets it, he can't go back. He can only keep moving forward, properly settle Ariana, and complete the plan completely.
Kyle quickened his pace and led Ariana to a small path outside. After arriving here, what happened in Godric's Hollow had nothing to do with them anymore.
"How about I take you outside to have a look?" He suddenly said, "Haven't you always wanted to see places outside the attic? Now is the chance."
"really?"
After all, Ariana was a child at heart, and she immediately forgot what had just happened.
Her long-cherished wish was to leave the dark and damp basement and go outside.
Although she was later taken to the attic by her brother Aberforth, it was still at home after all. What she wanted to do was to go outside, leave home and go out into the sunshine like everyone else.
But she didn't want to embarrass her brothers, so she never said it.
"Of course it's true." Kyle said with a smile. He thought for a moment and said, "Let's go first...how about Hogwarts? That's where your two brothers go to school. You were originally going there too."
Kyle's voice trailed off.
"It's okay, I want to go and take a look." Ariana said at the right time.
"Okay, let's go to Hogwarts." Kyle opened his box, "But before that, you have to go in and play for a while. I'll see you when we get there."
Because of Arianna's special nature, Kyle didn't dare to use Apparition with her, and the Knight Bus had too many uncertainties. What if a wizard suddenly cast a spell along the way? If Arianna saw it, it would be a lot of fun.
Even though she was wearing the legendary invisibility cloak, Kyle didn't dare to take the risk. Now that she was about to succeed, he didn't want to fail.
For safety reasons, it would be better to let her hide for the time being.
However, Ariana didn't care about Kyle's decision, or rather, she liked Kyle's box very much.
Ariana had never seen such a magical place. The box was huge, much larger than the basement and attic combined.
There was sunshine, grass, and forests inside. It was just like another Godric's Hollow... So was the place where they lived also put in a box by another person?
The world outside is so magical!
Ariana thought in amazement.
She also saw a group of cute creatures with long necks and big eyes that she had never seen before.
They are so beautiful...so white.
"Come here and help me take care of her."
While Ariana's attention was on the Moon Crazy Beast, Kyle, not far away, solemnly warned the gold coin manager Sniff in the box: "Don't let her get close to the basilisk and those dangerous plants. If she gets scared, I will replace all the gold coins in your pocket with stones!"
Sniff looked at Kyle in horror and quickly covered his chest pocket tightly with his short hands.
Grab its 'bling'?
Sniff knew that Kyle was capable of such evil acts, and more than once, but he always left some for himself before and would make up for it later, so he could barely accept it.
But they were all taken away... It was so scary.
Then it looked at Ariana and nodded solemnly.
"Then I'll leave it to you." Kyle smiled kindly again, "I knew you could do it. This is a reward. If everything goes well, there will be more."
Kyle took out five gold coins, and Sniff's eyes lit up and he nodded even harder.
"Then leave it to you."
Kyle then found Ariana again and told her several places that she must not approach before leaving the box.
Arianna is very sensible. She would never go to a place that Kyle doesn't allow her to go just out of curiosity.
In this respect, she is much less worrying than that stubborn guy with a scar on his forehead.
As for asking Sniff to help look after it, it was just in case. It was idle anyway, so finding something for it to do would prevent it from worrying about the gold coins in the Norberon's nest every day.
