Chapter 39 Lack of Courage

Snape made his way back to his office.

Mrs. Nott was sitting blankly on her chair. When she saw Snape coming in, a glimmer of hope flashed in her eyes.

"Severus...my grandson..."

"My condolences, Mrs. Nott."

Looking at the old man with a begging look on his face, Snape hesitated and said the cruelest words.

The old woman's expression froze and her eyes were blank. After a while, tears fell from the corners of her eyes.

The whole person looked like he had aged ten years instantly.

"How...how did he die?"

"He used a dark magic item, sacrificed himself, and tried to resurrect his mother..." Snape's hands trembled slightly, and he picked up what he could tell Mrs. Nott.

As for that person's resurrection... let's leave it to Dumbledore...

Thinking of this, he felt that the Dark Mark on his arm seemed to start to hurt again.

"My fault...it's my fault..." Mrs. Knott closed her eyes in despair. She knew that there was no hope for the Knott family.

Because Roland Nott is the last descendant of this generation.

From now on, there will be no more Notts in the wizarding world.

In a daze, she recalled the situation when she took her infant grandson away 13 years ago.

The pleading in the eyes of that thin, helpless woman, and the muttering to herself.

"Please... give the child... back to me..."

Now, it's her turn...

"So...the Knott family is...finished?" Fiona sat in front of the hospital bed, directing the knife to peel the apple.

"Probably...it doesn't count..." Frant said hesitantly, "If I remember correctly, isn't there an old Nott in the Nott family?"

"Old Nott?" Leon asked curiously.

"Yes, old Nott," Frant explained, "Professor Nott's husband's biological brother."

"However, this guy took refuge with that person a few years ago. After that person fell, in order to prevent the Nott family from being implicated, their family pretended that there was no such person."

"That old guy hasn't appeared in these years. I don't know whether he is dead or alive, or is hiding in a corner..."

While several people were talking, Anne and her two brothers ran in with three big baskets in a hurry.

"Look, Li Ang, we brought you breakfast from the kitchen!" The little Loli raised the basket in her hand to take credit, but almost fell down because it was a little heavy.

Fiona waves her wand and saves her.

Li Ang couldn't laugh or cry.

He and Severns were almost "carried" to the school doctor's office by Professor Sprout last night, and they were actually able to leave this morning.

After all, the two of them were hardly injured. Just the cut on Li Ang's arm was healed by a little white essence.

Of course, I still want to thank the person without a nose. Oh no, now it’s the person with the nose who shows mercy.

If he had really used some black magic on Li Ang, he probably wouldn't have healed so quickly.

However, Professor Sprout, who had some knowledge of the situation, still forced the two of them to stay overnight in the school infirmary. After Madam Pomfrey confirmed that there was no problem, she gave each of the two a brain scoop, along with Greenhouse lockdown package until the end of term.

The kind and kind badger mother also has a temper. She was really scared last night, and she thinks that Leon and Severns are the two most restless bad boys in Hufflepuff, and plans to put them away in the next few days. Watching under the nose.

Li Ang had no objection to this, and even looked forward to it. There were always some strange plants in the greenhouse of his dean.

"Okay, little guys! This is not an auditorium. They are both fine. They need to go back to the lounge to have breakfast!"

Madam Pomfrey started to chase people away. There were many injured seniors last night, and now there are not enough beds in the school infirmary.

A group of people left the school doctor's office with cheers. Li Ang walked at the front. Behind him, he could faintly hear Fiona's continuous complaints and Severance's continuous begging for mercy.

Li Ang suddenly felt that the stone that had been weighing on his heart seemed to be lifted a little...

Roland Nott's funeral was held a week later.

In the evening, after the coffins were buried and everyone left, Li Ang appeared in front of Roland's tomb.

He held a tin box in his hand.

"What is this?" Dumbledore, who was waiting aside, asked curiously.

"A little...a little courage..." Li Ang thought for a while and said this in imitation of the old Riddler's tone.

Of course, Li Ang felt that there was nothing wrong with describing it this way.

After all, the ignorant Roland who had just begun to be curious about the world gained his courage from this tin box, that little Muggle fairy tale book.

Carefully placing the iron box in his hand in front of Roland's grave, Li Ang was silent for a while and suddenly pulled out his wand.

As the wand was waved, silver mist filled the surroundings, and a large bird made of silver mist with long tail feathers appeared in the sky.

The big silver bird circled in the air several times, flew towards the west, and finally dissipated in the air, leaving only a ribbon of silver mist.

"It doesn't look like a phoenix..." Dumbledore commented.

"No, of course not, professor..." Li Ang said calmly.

That's the bluebird.

It is the sacred bird that carries food and messages for the Queen Mother of the West in myths and legends. It symbolizes the pursuit of happiness, dreams and hopes.

"I hope you can find happiness in your next journey..." Li Ang thought silently in his heart.

In the evening, Li Ang waited for Senior Severs in the Room of Requirement.

"So... why did you call me here?" asked a confused Sevens, still chewing a chicken leg in his mouth.

"Of course...the spoils are divided!" Li Ang raised the suitcase in his hand.

Severns' mouth dropped open.

"this is not……"

"Roland's suitcase was cast with a traceless extension spell, a very clever traceless extension spell. The principal said it can last at least five years..." Li Ang opened the suitcase and took the lead to go down the ladder in the suitcase.

Seeing that Severns was still stunned, he stretched out a hand and shook it.

"Follow!"

Severns quickly wiped his hands on his robe and got in.

After getting down into the box, I was blinded by the pile of golden hills in front of me.

"Merlin's... big pants! Are we... getting rich?"

Li Ang shrugged.

Part of the golden galleon hill in the box was saved by Roland himself and his dark wizard "teacher", and part of it was taken out by Mrs. Nott from the Nott family's treasury as compensation for Leon and Severns.

However, in Li Ang's opinion, compared to these galleons, the magic books left behind after being screened by Dumbledore are more valuable.

"Leon, I have an idea..." Severns suddenly said after rolling in the pile of gold coins for a while.

“Let’s form an organization!”

"How about treating these gold coins and magic books as starting capital?"

"I've even thought of a name. I'll just use the symbol you drew as a mark and call it eyeofsecrets, or eos for short. How about it!"

Not so good... How can I still be my best friend and the god of the bathroom?Li Ang complained silently in his heart.
