Chapter 30 Back to School
Li Ang stretched out his hand and was about to push the door open. After thinking about it, he took out the runner again and pushed the door open with the muzzle of his gun pressed against it.
The old and decaying door made a creaking sound.
The room was dark, and the air was filled with dust and stench.
Li Ang walked in carefully, alerting the homeless man inside.
Li Ang shook the muzzle of his gun expressionlessly, and the homeless man ran out of the house in a mess, not even caring about the tattered blanket that he usually regarded as his life.
Li Ang took out his flashlight and shined it into the house.
He didn't plan to use magic. Who knew if using magic here would alert the Ministry of Magic.
Li Ang looked around and found that the room was already in a mess.
Trash can be seen everywhere, there is a foul smell of excrement in the corners, and there is not even a decent piece of furniture in the house.
After searching carefully, Li Ang finally had to admit that he probably couldn't find any more clues in this house.
Just as he was about to turn around and leave, Li Ang suddenly noticed something out of the corner of his eye.
He walked to the wall, squatted down, and with the light of the flashlight, Li Ang finally saw clearly what was carved on the corner of the wall.
On it are three simple little figures with only lines, two big and one small. Next to them are the words "Dad, Mom, Me" engraved in immature notes.
Next to the carving, there seems to be a brick that is movable.
Li Ang carefully took out his dragon leather gloves and put them on. Dragon leather gloves can effectively prevent most black magic items from causing harm to him.
After struggling to pull out the brick, there was a small tin box inside. When he opened the box, Li Ang found that it was full of children's gadgets.
There were little plastic soldiers, a coin with a strange pattern from an unknown country, three or four glass marbles, and a children's comic book.
It was only a little bigger than the comic strips Li Ang saw in the museum in his previous life.
Although the cover of the comic book was a bit blurry, Li Ang still saw the words "Fountain of Youth".
"So... is this why you are looking for the elixir of life?" Li Ang murmured to himself, and after a while, he put the entire small box away.
Then, he walked out of the house and strode towards the nearest subway station.
"Madan, you must learn to apparate if you have the chance. Walking on two legs is really tiring!"
"And this polyjuice potion is too damn awful to drink!"
Two weeks passed so quickly, even Li Ang had to say this with emotion.
He hadn't even finished reading "Common Magical Diseases" before he got on the train back to Hogwarts!
"I heard from students who stayed at school that during this Christmas vacation, the principal and the professors searched the school thoroughly, but they still couldn't find the source of the ghost-eyed butterfly curse." Sevens and Li Ang were crowded in a carriage. Bagua said.
"Of course I can't find it..." Li Ang calmly turned over a page of the book.
"I don't know how this guy came up with that kind of ghost thing! It's too disgusting..." Thinking of Quidditch before Christmas, Sevens sighed with emotion.
"Is that called the 'Ghost-Eyed Butterfly Curse'?" Annie asked, staring at her big, stupid, clear eyes.
"Actually, there are many names, but the 'Ghost-Eyed Butterfly Curse' is a more commonly accepted term," Severs explained, "because all the students who were victimized twice vomited something that looked like a Ghost-Eyed Butterfly... "
"What is the Ghost-Eyed Butterfly?" Rhodes raised his hand and asked loudly.
"A 3x-level creature, named after a pair of patterns on its wings that resemble ghost eyes. People who get close to the ghost-eyed butterfly will be unconsciously attracted to it and trigger hallucinations, making people unknowingly see what scares you the most. Things, but they are far inferior to Boggarts." Li Ang said without raising his head, "In addition, the wings of ghost-eyed butterflies are also used in many potions, and two silver wings in the Diagon Alley potion store can make a pair. "
Bant brother Li Ke was attracted by the price and showed a silly smile.
"However, the thing they spit out is not a ghost-eyed butterfly." Seeing that he was about to arrive at school, Leon finally put away the book in his hand, while wondering whether he should learn from Madam Pomfrey in the next half semester. He cast some medical magic and took out his wand to remove the transformation spell on his sportswear, turning it back into a Hufflepuff robe.
"That's right, I've never seen a ghost-eyed butterfly with a scorpion tail..." Severs nodded, "Please wait a moment and don't get out of the car with them. I asked Hagrid to leave one for you. carriage."
"Oh, by the way, where did those ghost-eyed butterflies with scorpion tails end up?" Seeing that Severs was about to get out of the car early to maintain order, Li Ang asked quickly.
"I heard that they were taken away by Professor Kettleburn for research, but all the ghost-eyed butterflies died in less than one night, and even the corpses turned into pus..."
Anne showed a disgusted expression.
The four of them, Li Ang, waited until the aisle was less crowded before getting out of the car.
Of course, this time they didn't have to take a boat, but a carriage.
Li Ang stood in front of the carriage and saw the "really skinny" Yeqi as expected.
"Huh? Li Ang, these carriages don't have horses." Annie said with a surprised look on her face.
No, there is a horse-drawn carriage, not only horses, but they are all turning their heads to stare at you now.
"Let's go!"
The carriage bumped and bumped as it carried the young wizards back to the castle.
Li Ang had a premonition that if he didn't find the hidden Horcrux for a day, there would probably be a day of silence in the castle in the second half of the school year...
"Roland, where have you been during the two weeks of Christmas?" Professor Nott stared at his grandson in front of him, "Don't tell me you were at school, I asked Avery!"
Roland lowered his head and said nothing.
"Going to see your 'teacher' again? Huh?" The old lady looked serious, "I have told you many times, he is just a dilettante who has never even gone to school!"
"And you, you have the blood of Nott, one of the noble 28 families, and you are destined to inherit the glory of the Nott family!"
"Glory?" Roland finally raised his head and sneered, "Are you referring to the shabby manor and the rags in the cellar, or are you referring to the clansmen with three or two big cats and kittens? Those few are so old that their eyesight is dazzled. A house elf?"
"That's enough!" Old Mrs. Nott's voice suddenly became extremely sharp, "How, how dare you say such a thing!"
However, Roland only had a sneer on his lips and a dismissive expression on his face.
After a long time, Mrs. Nott regained her composure.
"I don't care if those two Mudbloods were your fault or not. You'd better be calm in the days to come!"
"Dumbledore hasn't lost his sight yet!"
Roland agreed perfunctorily, turned and left.
Only the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor with a gloomy expression was left in the room.
