Chapter 2 The iron-headed lolita at the corner
Pushing open the door of the bar, Li Ang frowned at the breath that hit his face.
To be honest, it doesn't smell very good.
A group of slovenly looking wizards were sitting in the hall, dressed in all kinds of colors.
Mr. and Mrs. Green also had the same expression. Mrs. Green even protected Li Ang in her arms.
Seeing Professor McGonagall coming in, many people raised their glasses to signal.
"Good afternoon, Professor McGonagall, would you like a drink?" Tom Abbott, the bartender and owner, asked enthusiastically.
"No, Tom, I have some important things to do. Let me borrow your patio."
Tom shrugged regretfully and extended his hand to indicate.
After bypassing the bar of the Leaky Cauldron, Leon and his parents followed Professor McGonagall to a small patio surrounded by walls.
There was nothing inside except a trash can and some weeds.
"Is this what it looks like in the movie?" Li Ang frowned and thought, but unfortunately, it had been so long since he had seen the movie and novel that he could no longer remember what the patio in the movie looked like.
"Mr. Leon, remember, if you want to go to Diagon Alley through the Leaky Cauldron, you only need to count three bricks from the top of the trash can - then count two bricks to the right, and tap lightly on the wall with your wand. Three times, like this..."
Li Ang witnessed with his own eyes that the bricks on the wall seemed to be alive, scrambling to flip to both sides. In a few breaths, a doorway appeared in front of the four of them.
"Oh my God!" Mrs. Green covered her mouth and screamed softly, looking like she was about to faint.
Of course, Mr. Green is no better.
Minerva McGonagall glanced out of the corner of her eye and found that Leon still had the paralyzed expression on his face, and couldn't help but feel a little regretful.
After all, it is already Professor McGonagall’s reserved project to bring new students to “learn more” every year…
McGonagall found it particularly interesting every time she saw the new Muggle-born students and their parents showing all kinds of strange expressions.
Otherwise...she herself would prefer to use apparation or Floo powder...
Of course, the evil-minded older cat lady professor didn't know that Li Ang was extremely shocked, but he managed the expression on his face very well...
After all, the aloof persona cannot be defeated.
"Let's go, Mr. Li Ang, there are still a lot of things we need to buy. It's best to hurry up. In this way, maybe you can take time to take a look around here."
"Okay, Professor, so, where do we go first?"
"Go to Gringotts first. You need some wizard currency."
The family of three soon followed Professor McGonagall to Gringotts.
The first door of Gringotts is a shiny bronze door. Standing at the door are goblin guards wearing scarlet and gold uniforms. They bow to customers when they come in, but the expression on their faces looks like someone owes them 100. The same as ten thousand gold galleons.
"Not enthusiastic at all..." Li Ang even heard his mother muttering quietly.
The second door was silver with a warning engraved on it.
Li Ang pushed the door open and walked in without even looking.
When noseless people later ravaged Britain, the goblins didn't even dare to fart. Gringotts was broken into twice during Harry's school years...
When he came to a free goblin, Li Ang raised his head and looked at the other person and said, "Hello, I want to exchange some extra... money."
Gallon almost blurted out, but Li Ang swallowed most of it back.
"It's a little Muggle wizard again..." The goblin didn't look happy, "Excuse me, how much do you want to exchange?"
Li Ang crossed his arms and asked, "Is it possible to exchange without limit?"
"Oh, no, of course not, little wizard. Gringotts is not a charity. Each Muggle-born wizard can exchange up to one hundred galleons per year."
"This is the Galleon," he said, picking up the one at hand, fearing that Li Ang wouldn't recognize it.
"One gold galleung can be exchanged for 17 silver sikos, and one silver siko can be exchanged for 29 copper nats."
"Today's latest exchange rate, let me take a look, is 5.5 pounds to one galleons."
"Please exchange it for one hundred galleons for me, thank you." Li Ang took the handbag handed over by his father and took out some banknotes from it.
The sharp-eyed goblin saw something yellow and orange inside.
"Oh, sir, if you need it, you can exchange precious metals for galleons with us. There are no restrictions on the exchange of precious metals." The goblin's attitude has improved visibly.
Li Ang looked back at his father, and Mr. Green cleared his throat: "Well, this... sir, please help us change these gold bars."
As he spoke, he took out the gold bars from his bag.
The bright yellow precious metal dazzled Professor McGonagall.
Thinking of my pitiful salary, I silently wondered whether I should go back and ask for a salary increase...
Half an hour later, the goblins quickly exchanged Galleons for Leon, and even gave him a bag of deformed lizard skin that had been stretched without trace. Nearly three hundred Galleons and a portion of Siknut were all packed in it. .
Dad wanted to keep it personally because there was too much money, but Mrs. Green glared back.
At home, they usually don't care about money, ever since Li Ang showed his amazing talent in financial management.
"Well, let's see, let's buy a suitcase first, then the school robe, then the wand, then the cauldron and the like, and finally the books, is that okay? Professor?"
Professor McGonagall nodded: "Of course, you have the final say."
Afterwards, Li Ang began a difficult purchase.
The reason why it was difficult was because he had to note down the locations of the stores along the way and compare three stores. Finally, there was the Green couple who kept coming back from time to time to look at something fascinated.
Fortunately, the purchase of boxes and clothes went smoothly, so the group headed to the wand shop.
"Oh, it's the little wizard again, welcome, welcome!"
"Ollivanders is the best wand shop in the UK. Basically all the little wizards at Hogwarts buy their wands here." Professor McGonagall said to Leon.
"Oh, fir. A wand suitable for a master with strong willpower and talent for transfiguration. 9 and 1/2 inches. Dragon heartstring core. I remember correctly, Minerva."
"Of course, you always have a good memory."
"Come on, little wizard, don't be shy, which hand do you prefer?" Ollivander asked.
"Right hand, sir." Li Ang said.
A tape measure slid over on its own and began to measure.
"Well, come on, try this one." Ollivander took out a wand from the shelf behind him.
Li Ang took it and waved it gently.
All the wands on one shelf flew up...
Li Ang frowned, tried hard to concentrate, and waved lightly again, and the flying wand box slowly fell to the ground.
"Oh, powerful control, rare to see!" Ollivander said in surprise.
Professor McGonagall, who was ready to clean up the mess, also had his eyes lit up.
Li Ang shook his head and handed back the wand.
"I thought maybe it wasn't for me."
"Of course, of course, come on, kid, I thought of it, try this one!"
Li Ang held it in his hand, but before he could swing it, sparks began to appear, even burning a hole in his clothes.
"Oh, no, no, let me think about it. Come on, kid, try this one."
Li Ang took the wand for the third time. The moment he held it in his hand, he felt that this one suited him very well.
After looking carefully, the wand was made of unknown wood and had a scar in the middle.
Li Ang waved lightly, and colorful sparks spurted out.
"Ha, it's unbelievable!" Ollivander's eyes lit up, "It's very happy because it found its owner!"
"So, what material is this made of?" Li Ang asked.
"Elder, Child, Elder and Dragon Heartstrings, 9 inches."
"To be honest, not many people like elder wands, because there is a rumor in the wizarding world: elder wands will never prosper!"
"But these are all rumors!"
"Elder wands are very rare and more difficult to control than any other wand. They contain powerful magic, but they don't bother to stay with less than the best owners. Only the truly powerful can keep it with them for a long time. .”
"And dragon heartstrings are often symbols of power!"
Li Ang didn't care whether the elderberry was ominous or not.
After all, the elder wand that Dumbledore's old bee is currently using is probably the Elder Wand, which is also made of elder.
However, the feeling of blood connection with the wand is indeed... wonderful.
Li Ang, who was immersed in this feeling, even accidentally bumped into a little loli when he walked out of the store...
Madan...she has a tough head...
Facts have proved that you can not only meet love at the corner, but also a stubborn loli.
To be honest, it doesn't smell very good.
A group of slovenly looking wizards were sitting in the hall, dressed in all kinds of colors.
