Chapter 34 Increased Difficulty
In Harry's snake language, this set of sinks came to life and were taken apart like building blocks, revealing a big hole.
"Just jump in?" Ron looked at the bottomless hole and felt a little scared.
George and Fred looked at each other and said, "Let's go down first to explore the way!" Percy was stunned and was about to speak, but Harry pointed at Lockhart and said, "Lockhart! You go down first!"
Lockhart stood at the entrance of the cave in embarrassment, his mind racing. Of all the people present, Hermione was probably the only one who still felt some compassion for him. He was about to show off to Hermione when suddenly Dudley stepped forward and said: Lockhart's feet fell down with a cry of "Ah!"
"Don't worry, you won't die~" Dudley winked at Hermione.
Lockhart's screams ended with a muffled sound, followed by his "ouch, ouch" cry of pain.
"Ha, safe!" Perhaps because he missed Ginny, Ron finally plucked up the courage to jump down second, followed by Harry and Hermione.
Dudley stopped the twins from moving: "More people are not safer. I need you to guard this place. Leave Ginny to us!".
Although the twins are excited, they are not the protagonists after all. Now the plot has changed. There are more people going down, which makes it more dangerous. After all, the three little Harrys are children of the plane, and they have luck in them invisibly, but the same cannot be said for others. .
George was stunned for a moment, thinking that Dudley was an outstanding person who had "killed two dark wizards with his own hands", so he reluctantly agreed to him.
Dudley gritted his teeth and jumped into the deep, dark hole.
Similar to many secret passages in Hogwarts, there was a long stone slide under the black hole. Dudley knew that this was not a real slide made of masonry, but a form of magical construction. When they came up, this slide will disappear.
But Dudley soon discovered that it was different from the descriptions in novels and movies. The slide actually had a fork in the road. Before he could adjust the direction, the slide had automatically led him to one side, and Harry's voice Apparently on the other side.
The slide was at least 500 meters long, and gradually he could not see his fingers. Finally, Dudley felt that his body was empty, and he fell heavily on a pile of things, which hurt his thighs and buttocks.
He took out his searchlight, and white light suddenly illuminated the cave.
This should have been a natural cave originally, but after artificial excavation, the ground is relatively flat, but there are many large holes around it, like an intricate underground kingdom.
He had just landed on a pile of dead bones and dried feces, as if this place had been the lair of some kind of beast a long time ago.
Dudley swallowed and stood up. He seemed to hear some noises. It might be that Harry and the others had fallen somewhere else. He could only run over to meet them.
As soon as he reached the entrance of a cave, a black shadow suddenly jumped out. Dudley reacted very quickly and quickly dodged to the side. The thing missed and rolled forward.
Dudley illuminated it with a searchlight. What a boy, it turned out to be an enlarged version of a blind salamander, more than three meters long. The scales on its body were black with bright red lines. It was wild and strange. Its eyes had almost deteriorated, but its mouth was full of hair. The smelly sharp teeth told Dudley that it was not a vegetarian!
"Wtf! The difficulty has increased!" Dudley cursed in his mind.
Perhaps because he advanced the plot in advance, the invisible hand increased the difficulty in the secret room.Of course, the secret room in the original novel was not reasonable. Did the [-]-meter-long basilisk grow so big by eating air? There should be many large creatures in the underground caves.
But since there were only Harry and Ron, the invisible hand used the collapse of the cave to isolate them from the area where other creatures lived, making it easier for Harry, but Dudley obviously did not have such good treatment.
"Bang!" Dudley's right hand instantly turned into a revolver. When the giant blind salamander rushed towards him again, he fired a bullet directly into the bloody mouth that was enough to swallow his head whole.
"Thunderstorm bomb!"
The moment the bullet came out of the barrel, it was immediately enveloped in a ball of blue electric light, and with a "whoosh!" it entered the belly of the giant blind salamander. Dudley rolled on the spot, and before he even raised his head, he heard "bang!" !" With a loud noise, the giant blind salamander was blown to pieces.
"I hope there aren't too many of them..." Dudley muttered and shined the searchlight into the black hole. It didn't matter. There were no stones visible on the four walls protruding from the black hole. They were all black with bright red lines. There were at least hundreds of giant blind salamanders, and they had been alerted by the gunshots and moved towards him.
"Go to the street!" Dudley yelled and ran away, but he saw someone coming towards him, and the two almost bumped into each other.
"Shattered to pieces!" A clear female voice rang out from that person's mouth. Immediately afterwards, the rocks above the black hole exploded, and the big rocks instantly blocked the black hole behind Dudley.
"Hermione?!" Dudley had already recognized that person. Although his clothes were covered in mud and his hair was messy, he could be someone other than Hermione.
"Dudley," Hermione was obviously a little happy to see Dudley. She came to his side and said, "It's very dangerous here. We have to find Harry and the others quickly!"
They found another black hole that seemed to have nothing in it and probed into it. Dudley said: "This should be a preventive mechanism for Salazar Slytherin to be wary of mixed-blood wizards following the heir's footsteps into the secret room, so in A mechanism was added to the chute, and Harry and the others were considered to be pure-blood wizards and were taken to another path."
"Then where is this place?" Hermione unknowingly moved closer to Dudley and reached out to grab the corner of his clothes. Although the little girl was a brave Gryffindor, she was still a 12-year-old child.
"It should be a hunting ground for basilisks...basilisks also need to eat, right? This place shouldn't be very far from the secret room," Dudley said.
They walked forward for a few dozen meters. Dudley felt the air flow, shook his head, and walked back with Hermione: "It's not this road. There is neither the smell of blood nor the flow of air. It's a dead end over there."
Although Hermione was knowledgeable and knowledgeable, she was a layman when it came to survival skills in the wild, so she could only follow Dudley.
Although both Hermione and Dudley were extremely anxious, they still fumbled for nearly 10 minutes before Dudley finally found a way, and Hermione quickly followed.
However, when they walked more than 100 meters along the cave, they found that they had come to another huge grotto. Most of the grotto was a pool of water, calm and deep, with no depth.
"Did you go wrong again?" Hermione's face was a little pale, and the magic spells and ancient knowledge she knew seemed to be of no use at this time.
"That's right! It's right here!" Dudley pointed to the water pool and said, "This water pool leads to the Black Lake and also to the secret room, but I'm afraid it won't be so easy for us to get there..."
Hermione looked at Dudley in confusion. Dudley pointed at the water. A tentacle as thick as Dudley's thigh was moving silently across the water.
"Just jump in?" Ron looked at the bottomless hole and felt a little scared.
