Chapter 21 Marauder's Map

In order to help Ron solve the "mouth slug" problem, they rushed to Hagrid's hut, but Hagrid could only bring a bucket and let Ron wait for the spell to dissipate.

Hermione wiped her tears from time to time, and Harry and Hagrid carefully comforted her.

"Dudley, aren't you angry when they say something about you?" Hermione couldn't help but ask when she saw that Dudley's expression remained normal.

Dudley shrugged and said: "In my eyes, there are only good people and bad people. There is not much difference between wizards and Muggles. Just like me, I was a Muggle a few weeks ago. I can beat up the guy who is called a pure-blood wizard today." Are you looking for teeth? Moreover, Muggle technology is developing very fast, and maybe one day wizards’ sense of superiority will be gone.”

Seeing that everyone's eyes were not very convinced, Dudley smiled and said: "Actually, as long as the mixed-race wizards don't look down on themselves, this problem can be easily solved. I think we can even organize a mixed-race wizards association to unite everyone. Let’s fight against anyone who bullies us!”

Dudley just said it casually and didn't take it seriously, but Hermione's eyes lit up, as if she saw a light that awakened the world.

Dudley wanted to slap herself in the mouth. She remembered that Hermione liked to toss these associations. For example, when she saw house elves being exploited by wizards, she became so loving that she advocated organizing the "House Elves Rights Promotion Association". The suggestion was just what she wanted. I believe he would receive a leaflet from the "Mixed-blood Wizards Rights Promotion Association" soon.

After coming out of Hagrid's hut, the twins took Dudley to a deserted area and mysteriously took out a roll of old parchment.

Fred showed off to Dudley how he stole it from the "high hazard drawer" in Filch's office.

But Dudley guessed right. They probably hadn't figured out the purpose of this thing for a long time. Otherwise, in the plot of the Chamber of Secrets, when Ginny disappeared, they should have been able to find Ginny through the map and thus discover the location of the Chamber of Secrets.

"You've convinced us. Apart from prophecy, we really can't think of how you knew the existence of this thing." George curled his lips and said.

Dudley raised his eyebrows. In fact, he was also curious about how the twins knew the spell to open the map, but that was not important. What was important was that if he succeeded in pretending, it would be much easier to trick the two treasures into doing their job in the future.

Dudley took out his wand, tapped it on the parchment and said: "I solemnly swear that I will not do bad things!" He was not worried about the map not responding. There was a magic battery embedded in his hand. The Marauder's Map was of course considered magic. Props.

In the twins' admiration, thin lines of ink spread around like a spider web, connecting and interlacing until they extended to every corner of the parchment. Finally, green ink weaves a few lines of large cursive characters on the top:

Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs, the gentlemen who help magical mischief-makers, introduce the Marauder's Map.

Looking at the clear details of Hogwarts Castle and the tiny black dots on the map, the twins were so surprised that their entire fists could fit into their mouths.

"The important thing is these secret passages!" Dudley pointed to some of the passages leading outside the castle and said, "There are also the locations of some important people..." His eyes swept across the map, and in an instant he saw several of them. He knew the location of the secret passage deeply in his mind, and in order to maintain his image as an "expert", he did not intend to snatch the map away directly.

Dudley found Ginny's name in the Gryffindor dormitory and said, "In addition to finding Hermione for help tomorrow, you will also keep an eye on Ginny's location to remember if she goes to any strange place."

Taking the map from Dudley's hand, Fred was very grateful to Dudley and even admired him a little. He felt that Dudley was the mature elder brother and knew everything.

After being separated from the twins, Dudley carefully avoided the patrolling Filch, walked through the classroom, and came to the statue of the one-eyed witch. Suddenly two figures emerged from behind the statue, startling him. Wasn't that what they had just seen? Are the twins who "relie each other goodbye"?

"Don't even think about leaving us to go out and play!" George winked slyly.

"You forgot that you have a place here!" Fred raised the map in his hand.

"Evil! Forget this!" Dudley hammered his chest and said.

Following the instructions on the map, George tapped the stone statue with his wand and said: "Separate the left and right!"

There was a sound of mechanism activity, and the statue's hunchback opened a small hole.

"I think it's quite difficult for you to go in, Master Dudley~" Fred said with a smile.

"You fat man, I'm trying to lose weight!" Dudley took the lead, and after a lot of effort, he finally stuffed his fat butt in. Fortunately, the space in the passage was not too narrow, otherwise he might have been stuck. Waiting for rescue halfway.

They slid a long way down the stone slide before landing on a patch of cold, wet dirt.

George lit up the fluorescent light with his wand and led the way with a map. Fred was responsible for cutting off the steps. The three of them walked through the twists and turns of the passage for about 10 minutes, and finally reached a stone step that was too high to reach the top.

"Climb, just treat it like losing weight..." Dudley muttered, climbing up with all his strength.

After climbing at least ten floors, Dudley had to admire the master who built the secret tunnel. By the time George's head hit the trap door at the end, Dudley was so tired that he couldn't breathe.

"There's a cellar up there!" George whispered.

They took the map into their arms and climbed out carefully. Listening to the noisy voices upstairs, Fred said in surprise: "It's Bee Duke Candy Shop!" They were regular visitors here, and Ron was very fond of it. I can’t forget the fruit juice milk ball jelly.

Although it is night, there are still many customers in the store on the first floor, but it is not a holiday, and others can recognize them as students who sneaked out at a glance.

"Take this!" Fred took out a few black pills from his inner pocket. Dudley didn't know what they were, but seeing the distressed look on Fred's face, he knew that this thing must be difficult to get.

The three of them each took one, touched their wrists, and swallowed it at the same time.

A strange feeling stretched from the throat to the chest, and then slowly spread throughout the body. It was like eating an ice orange while taking a bath, very refreshing.

"That way people won't notice us!" Fred explained.

"I don't think we'll ever get this from Dad's office again..." George muttered.

Dudley immediately understood that this was the thing Nina used to hide her aura when she dressed up as an old lady that day. Sure enough, no one noticed them when they walked out of the cellar and the Bee Duke Candy Shop.

"Okay, you should tell us why you sneaked to Hogsmeade!" Fred said.

"Two things, find the bounty hunter's stronghold and spend the money." Dudley said, taking out a package filled with gold galleons.

Looking at the thousands of shining gold coins inside, the twins' eyes widened.
