Harry Potter: The Muggle Crown Prince at Hogwarts

Chapter 234 The Knight Commander's Connivance

When it was time to eat at noon, all the people in charge except Lance had finished their reports.

They lunched with Ellen as a matter of course, happily begging for a better Christmas present.

Allen agreed.

The people in charge wanted to say something, but they were suppressed by Lance's threatening eyes, and they left obediently one by one.

When they left the restaurant step by step, Lance smiled apologetically and asked, "Your Highness, are you tired? Do you need a nap?"

Allen shook his head lightly and smiled,

"It's okay, Lance - Sandringham is very comfortable, I've had a good night's sleep these days."

Lance nodded gently, helped him up halfway, and suggested gently, "Yes, Your Highness, you must be very at ease by His Majesty's side."

He protected Allen and went to the second floor, and said slowly, "Since the second grade, you have gradually increased the number of things you have to deal with... It seems that you don't have time to take a good rest."

"If you don't dislike this place, let's take a nap here!"

It was only then that Allen noticed that the knight commander had already skipped the door of the study on the second floor and headed for his room in the safe house.

He was a little helpless for a while, raised his hand and stopped on the road, "Chief Knight, you really don't need to take on the duties of my attendant."

Lance pursed his lips lightly and nodded in approval.

He said softly, "Perhaps... I am indeed not as professional and considerate as Butler Franc and Triss of the royal family. It is reasonable that you are not used to it."

Alan:  …

He could see it, as long as it was something that the knight commander thought would be good for him, he would persuade him many times until he accepted it.

Alan couldn't help feeling a little funny in his heart, but there was really no need for him to refuse such a kind proposal.

Lance was indeed sharp.

He thinks too much these days, so he always sleeps later, and because of his biological clock, he always wakes up at six o'clock in the morning on time.

He does lack sleep.

Allen said helplessly, "Well... maybe you have another identity, my exclusive deacon?"

Lance suppressed the joy in his eyes, and tentatively said, "But Butler Triss is your general manager."

Those light purple eyes looked at the crown prince beside him vaguely, and heard the answer he hoped for.

"No, Lance... Triss is a very good lady, but there are differences between men and women."

The blond boy shook his head slightly,

"Those behaviors are too intimate for me, and it is impossible for me to allow her to fully perform her duties as a housekeeper."

Lance smiled and led him into the room.

He lit the fire in the fireplace, arrived with warm towels, covered Allen with a quilt, and sat stubbornly in the armchair beside the four-poster bed, looking intently at the sleeping face of his crown prince.

...and I'm not tired.

Since lying in the quilt, even within a minute, he fell into a complete sleep.

The light purple pupils drooped slightly, as if replacing the master's sigh.

He sighed secretly,

My lord, how can you learn to take care of yourself?

Allen slept for a full two hours.

When he dazedly stretched out his hand from under the quilt and looked around, a pair of slender hands carefully grabbed his hand.

He frowned slightly and reprimanded lightly, "Presumptuous."

Lance paused for a moment, quickly recalling the royal etiquette, let go of his hand apologetically, let his hand rest on his arm, and called softly,

"Your Highness?"

Allen finally woke up slowly.

He looked at the dark room, then at the knight commander in front of him, raised his hand to cover his forehead, and asked day and night,

"Lance? Well... what time is it, why am I staying here, His Majesty will be worried."

Lance paused, raised his hand hesitantly, patted him lightly through the quilt, and said softly, "Your Highness, today's December 12th, it's 20:05 in the afternoon.

"You didn't spend the night here, you just took a nap."

Allen then relaxed.

He propped up his body, took the warm water handed by Lance, and only after a while did he fully wake up.

He said helplessly, "I made you laugh."

Lance shook his head slightly, took out his wand and waved it, and the whole room instantly lit up.

He said in a gentle voice, "Take it easy and don't get up in a hurry... Well, if you can't spare, I'll bring some information and report to you."

He erected the pillow behind Allen, asked Allen to lean on it, and walked out the door lightly.

After a while, Lance came back with a briefcase of information.

He put the briefcase on the small table beside the bed, picked and handed it to Alan, and briefly outlined the important matters in the past six months.

The knight commander's voice was as clear as jade, with a unique gentleness.

With such a voice, even if Alan understands most of the matters mentioned, he can listen patiently.

Until Lance talked about the investigation items sent by Diana...

Allen raised his eyebrows slightly, and confirmed, "Diana asked you to investigate Lockhart?"

Lance nodded, his smile fading away, "Actually...Your Highness, we did find something, even if you don't ask, I'll ask you to take a look."

He took out the box of materials, asked Alan to sit in the high-back chair behind the desk, opened the materials, and handed the top one to Alan.

"Your Highness, please take a closer look."

Allen read page by page, and couldn't help frowning slightly.

Lance said softly, "Lockhart was born into a mixed-race family, with a wizard mother and a Muggle father.

"His two older sisters were both Muggles, so he was extremely spoiled by his mother when he was a child.

"Perhaps it is this false love—

"He believes that he is the most special and important person in the world, and should enjoy the attention and treatment of a savior."

The knight commander continued with a helpless sigh,

"After entering Hogwarts, he did a lot of eye-catching things in order to show his fame, and the professors didn't like him very much.

"It wasn't until his various adventure books came out that the professors thought they had misjudged Lockhart's talent and changed his mind."

Lance sighed softly.

"However, Your Highness... When we sent people to visit various places, we found some special facts."

"—Those heroic deeds were not done by Lockhart."

Allen laughed coldly, closed the documents in his hands, and asked, "Is there any evidence for witnesses?"

Lance nodded, Zhou Quan said,

"They're all in the study room. Due to incomplete searches, they haven't been included in the database for the time being. Lockhart's Oblivion Curse is very proficient, and we can't undo his forgetfulness."

He tinged with guilt, "We are incompetent."

Allen shook his head, thinking of the king whose memory was still missing, and said softly, "No, Lance... If it's a powerful forgetting spell, maybe it will indeed be forgotten for life."

He handed the information back to the knight commander, sighed,

"As long as they are living well now, it is already God's mercy."

Allen came back to his senses, smiled and stretched out his hand, "Okay, Knight Commander...you should remind me when I'm slack, instead of allowing me to waste time."

He got up and took off his pajamas, let Lance change his shirt for him, and extended a gentle invitation,

"Chief Knight, I told you before that I want to introduce you to His Majesty at Christmas... I wonder if you are free at night?"

Lance couldn't help but pause.

He paused for a while, then smiled and said, "It's an honor!"
