Chapter 54 Grindelwald

This is a dilapidated, cold, but still solemn tower.

It took several hours for Tria and her teacher to fly from Devon to the border of Austria.

Dumbledore, on the other hand, went back to the castle to deal with some matters before apparating from Hogwarts.

Nurmengard has magic to prevent Apparition, so Dumbledore waits in front of the tower.

When Tria and the teacher got off the flying car, what they saw was Dumbledore looking at the entrance of the black hole in a daze.

"go in."

Sensing the footsteps of the two, Dumbledore spoke lightly, and the words he said were like sighs.

Triya thoughtfully looked at the penetrating handwriting above the entrance:

For the greater good.

Professor Dumbledore still seems to be very concerned about it.

This place is far away from people and there are no guards. The three of them walked into the tower without any obstacles.

According to what the teacher said, the great and influential revolutionary was imprisoned at the top of the tower.

"Do you want to go in and talk to him alone or wait for us outside the door?"

While walking the stairs, Nicole Flamel asked pointedly,

"Don't think that Triya and I will go in with you and be the middleman between you two."

For a long time, the old principal, who has been praised by countless people for his top-level wisdom and ability, choked up.

He originally wanted to accompany Tria and Nicole Flamel to go in to find that person, but apparently, Nicole Flamel had already carved "Improper Light Bulb" on his face.

"I'll wait outside."

The white-bearded old man who didn't get what he wanted snorted, and walked faster as if angry, leaving Triya and the two behind.

Nicole Flamel wasn't angry either. He was really old and his physical strength couldn't keep up. If he hadn't come to see him, he would be considered an old friend, and he had to give him the face he deserved. He appointed to use magic to fly up.

He whispered to Tria, "I'm going to see my old lover after walking so fast."

When he said this, his voice was lowered a bit, and his posture was very careful.

But Dumbledore was just two steps up before them, not to mention that the stairs in the tower spiraled upwards, there was not even a window, and his words even echoed.

It's not that Dumbledore is really old and ignorant, can't he hear this joke?

But he just pretended he didn't hear, and walked faster, stomping on the stairs with his feet.

Grindelwald's location is not difficult to find.

There is only one room on the highest floor of Nurmengard, and the door of the room is tightly closed, but it does not look like it is locked.

Dumbledore honestly stopped in a place far away from the room. He fiddled with his long beard distractedly, took out a candy plug from it and bit it into his mouth with a clicking sound.

It was only then that Tria discovered that Dumbledore had already put the Christmas gift she gave him on his beard, but it was covered by another layer of beard.

Grinning, Triya was dragged to the door of the room by the teacher before she could ask Dumbledore for a candy.

Nicole Flamel wasn't nervous at all, he raised his hand and knocked on the door twice, and without waiting for a response from inside, he opened the door and walked in.

The door of the room closed again after Tria followed in, blocking Dumbledore's veiled glance.

It was a very dark room, not even a candle or a kerosene lamp could be found, only a little cold skylight shone into the room through the cracks in the wall.

Nicole Flamel took out a round white stone from his pocket, after rubbing it a few times, the stone began to emit a warm yellow light, which became brighter and brighter.

Triya saw a thin old man lying on a stone bed in the corner. He was covered with a torn thin blanket and his eyes were closed, as if he was adapting to the sudden light.

"haven't seen you for a long time."

Nicole Flamel took out two folding chairs from his pocket and beckoned Tria to sit down.

The old man lying on the bed didn't respond either. His blond hair was dry due to lack of nutrition, his eyes were sunken, and he was as thin as a skeleton.

But his expression was still calm, he seemed to let himself get used to it for a while, and then opened his eyes, they were a pair of blue eyes, like the sea, and like the pale night.

No one could look into those eyes without showing awe, Tria thought.

"Isn't he coming in?"

The first sentence the old man said was so random, but everyone knew what he meant.

Nicole Flamel looked in the direction of the door and said:

"He's afraid."

I don't know what Dumbledore is afraid of, but Tria agrees with this statement. No one can face the person they once loved withering in front of them.

What's more, Dumbledore's attitude doesn't look like he is going to face his "former lover", that kind of anxiety that he tried hard to hide but didn't do well.

Grindelwald, who was lying down, laughed, his voice was low as if it was about to disappear.

"Little girl, come and help me."

He looked at Triya, and his body moved, as if he wanted to sit up.

Triya hurried over to help him up, and took a pillow from the small purse and stuffed it behind the old man.

It is only after touching that I know that this first-generation big devil who once terrified countless people is now as fragile as a piece of air-dried paper, light and fluffy, and will shatter when touched.

After sitting up, Grindelwald behaved more calmly. He smiled gently at Tria. Even though he looked embarrassed, his manner was still elegant, a gentleman.

"I know what you're here for."

Grindelwald looked at Nicole Flamel in a leisurely manner.

"So, for this answer, what are you willing to give?"

Nicole Flamel didn't respond at all. Grindelwald's talent is a prophet. He might have predicted that they would come to visit today 200 years ago. It is normal to know their problems.

"Make a price."

The rich and powerful alchemist waved his hand, not worried at all, Grindelwald was a man of principle and would not ask for more than what he could provide.

Although there is no awe in terms of life, Grindelwald is still very trustworthy in other respects.

"I'm going to be the little girl's teacher."

Grindelwald still smiled faintly.

Nicole Flamel didn't have such good concentration, he was blowing his beard and staring.

"You are her teacher, so what am I?"

"Do not conflict."

Grindelwald glanced at Tria, meaning something.

"You will agree."

"For my life, and for that coward outside the door."

The words were unclear, but Nicole Flamel fell silent immediately.

There is no need for Grindelwald to lie. He has been in this tower for so many years, but he is actually more of a self-imprisoner. If he makes up his mind that he does not want to be a prisoner, then it is easy to escape.

Even making a comeback and becoming his Dark Lord again, with his mind and ability, it's not too difficult.
