Hokage of Azeroth

034 [Those who don’t drown]

The prisoner of priests that Luo Wei was talking about was naturally the Brother Nimetz whom he personally captured alive during the Battle of the Gold Coast Mines.

As far as he knew, Nimetz was still a prisoner and had not been surrendered, released or executed.

This steadfast follower of the Holy Light seems to have regarded his years as a prisoner as a period of penance.

"Who?" Lepoliss didn't know.

Luo Wei did not answer, but said: "I want to leave the camp and come back tomorrow."

"Captain Rowe, do you need a horse?" Militia leader Molson asked, "I can lend you the horse."

Luo Wei was a little hesitant: "I may not be able to ride a horse."

"possible?"

"I rode a horse when I was in Daron County, but that was several years ago... The last time I rode a horse was probably five years ago, when I was only 13 years old." Rowe shrugged.

"You can try it first." Molson said with a smile. "If you plan to bring a priest back, it's best to go on horseback."

Luo Wei nodded: "Okay."

It turns out that this body is really talented in sports and combat.

Rowe had never ridden a horse in his previous life, but relying on Redpath's muscle memory, he mastered the skill of riding a horse almost immediately, rode off skillfully, and disappeared into the dark night in the blink of an eye.

At about dawn, Luo Wei arrived at the Defias base camp in the Gold Coast Mine.

Since he would come to take Van Cleef's assassin course every now and then, he had many acquaintances in the base camp, and it didn't take much effort to meet the brotherhood's poison master Craven Mortwak.

He was also responsible for managing the prisoners.

"Lord Mortwak, is the prisoner priest named Nimitz still there?" Rowe asked.

"Yes." Mortwak was writing something in front of the table and said without looking up.

Rowe glanced at the things on the table. As far as he knew, Mortwak seemed to like writing diaries.

"You have something to do with him?" Mortwak asked again, "But unless you kill him, I don't think you can achieve anything with him. Nimitz is a guy with strong beliefs. I know this very well. It is a fact. I've been locking him up for several months."

Luo Wei said: "The president asked me to clean up the fishmen on the long beach. I just led a fight with those fishmen, and there were a few seriously injured people..."

Mortvik raised his head, interrupted him, and asked with a surprised look on his face: "Do you want this prisoner priest to heal our wounded?"

"Absolutely." Luo Wei only said.

Mortwak laughed: "It's strange, Redpath, why do you think this way? That priest almost regards the people of the Brotherhood as demons."

"Or is it that there are people you particularly value among the seriously injured people, leaving you with no choice?" He expressed his guess.

Luo Wei: "I think we can give it a try."

Mortvik shook his head and took out a key: "Of course, you can try. But you have to remember, if the prisoner runs away, it has nothing to do with me."

"I understand, I will keep an eye on him." Luo Wei nodded.

"Take it." Mortwak handed over the key and continued writing in his diary.

Rowe took the key and left Mortwick's room, and then after some inquiring, he found the room where Brother Nimetz was held.

"Crench."

The dark and damp door opened, and a thin figure with tattered clothes came into view. It was Pastor Nimetz who had been imprisoned by the Brotherhood for several months.

Brother Nimetz remained motionless with his eyes closed, as if asleep, but the shackles and chains on his hands and feet still betrayed his sobriety.

"Brother Nimetz." Rowe greeted.

Brother Nimetz opened his eyes, stared at him for a moment, and said calmly: "I recognize you, you were the one who caught me in the first place."

Rowe smiled slightly awkwardly. Unexpectedly, a few months later, in this dim environment, Brother Nimetz could still recognize him.

Brother Nimetz: "I've always wanted to know how you cracked my 'mental scream'?"

Luo Wei squatted down: "There are many ways to crack the 'Spiritual Scream'. Monk, what you want to know is probably why a Defias thief knows this, right?"

Brother Nimetz said nothing.

"Although I am not a believer in the Holy Light, I have been exposed to it and have some understanding of your teachings." Luo Wei said slowly.

The Holy Light is humanity's main belief.

The status of the Holy Light in the human world of Azeroth is somewhat similar to the status of God in the Christian world on Earth.

Luo Wei continued: "If a kind person is injured due to a just act, as a monk, you will not die without saving him, right?"

Brother Nimetz snorted: "You want me to save the people of the Defias Brotherhood?"

"No, the injured person does not belong to the Brotherhood." Rowe said, "He is a hard-working farmer who fought against the attacking murlocs in order to defend his hometown and the fruits of his labor. Now he is seriously injured and may die at any time. Die."

Brother Nimetz frowned: "Are you telling the truth?"

Luo Wei: "You will know if it is true or false."

Brother Nimetz was silent for a moment, and then said: "If it is really what you said, of course I am willing to treat it. But if it is not, even if you kill me, I will not let you witness the mercy of the Holy Light!"

"Come with me." Luo Wei smiled slightly and unlocked the shackles on Brother Nimetz's feet.

Then he rode his horse and took Brother Nimetz back to the camp and went straight to the rest room where the wounded were.

"The priest is here!" Everyone looked at Brother Nimetz, who was in tattered clothes and with shackles on his hands. In addition to being happy, they also looked at each other with some confusion.

As soon as Brother Nimetz arrived in the lounge, the family members of the two wounded men began to plead with their noses and tears.

"Master Pastor, please save my husband!"

"Friar, my son has always been a good, upright and brave man. You must protect him!"

Many of the people in the room looked like civilians, and their appearance and temperament did not look like members of the Defias Brotherhood.

Seeing that the wounded were dying, Brother Nimetz did not have time to carefully confirm the authenticity of the matter amidst the pleadings, so he stepped forward to cast a spell, and a bright holy light lit up on each of his left and right hands, shining on the two wounded.

Under the blessing of Holy Light Magic, the serious injuries of the two men improved at a speed visible to the naked eye.

When the wounded family members saw him, they all cried with joy and kept praising Brother Nimetz.

"You actually convinced this priest." Blanco stood at the door and looked at Rowe, "How did you do it? He was caught by you in the first place."

Luo Wei leaned on the door frame: "I didn't do anything, he was just fulfilling his beliefs."

"By the way, Rowe." Mark Gregg next to him said, "I heard that you got a nickname among the fishmen."

"What nickname?" Luo Wei became curious.

Mark Gregg smiled slightly and said:

"He who doesn't drown."
