Hokage of Azeroth
026 [Vancleef’s Assassin Tutorial]
The battle in the Gold Coast Mine ended with the Defias Brotherhood's victory.
The Brotherhood gained a rich mine, and its personnel increased instead of decreasing. Most of the rioting miners joined the Defias Brotherhood after the war, making up for the Brotherhood's casualties in the battle.
After victory, of course, comes the reward.
The Defias Brotherhood has never had any decent buildings. Except for a few farmhouses used by high-rise buildings, everyone else basically conducts everything from eating, drinking, sleeping, and holding meetings in tents or simply in the open air.
The Stormwind Army camp outside the Gold Coast Mine has now naturally become the base camp of the Brotherhood.
In Samuelson's command hall, Van Cleef summoned all the senior members of the Brotherhood and some of the middle-level members to announce his reward.
In fact, there is another bottom member.
As a warrior who sneaked into the Gold Coast Mine alone and retrieved Morgan's information, Rowe was also fortunate to attend the meeting held by this brotherhood to reward the middle and upper-level members.
Of course, if he wanted to, he could now join the "upper middle" ranks of the fraternity.
However, Rowe never thought about long-term development in this organization. After all, he knew very well what kind of organization the Defias Brotherhood would become in the future.
Even to a certain extent, as a gamer, he cut off Van Cleef's head with his own hands and gave it to the sheriff.
So when Van Cleef asked him with a smile, his answer exceeded many people's expectations.
"I have promised that if anyone can enter the Gold Coast Mine and obtain information about Morgan, I can agree to a condition that is not excessive." Van Cleef said slowly, and then looked at Rowe along with everyone else.
"Rovie Redpath, right?" He smiled, "So, what do you want? Money, status, or something else?"
Luo Wei took a deep breath: "President, I want to become an assassin, an assassin as powerful as you."
Although he is now stronger than he used to rely solely on brute force, he still seriously lacks fighting skills, and he can bully opponents of similar levels and cannot get on the stage.
The knowledge in the "Book of Sealings" basically revolves around chakra, with very little coverage of pure combat skills.
Therefore, if you want to develop superb combat skills, asking Van Cleef for advice may be the best way.
Among the people he currently has direct contact with, Van Cleef is undoubtedly the strongest one.
Moreover, even from the perspective of pursuing status, this is a good choice.
If Van Cleef agrees to Luo Wei, although Luo Wei will not have a direct improvement in status, he will get the opportunity to get along with the supreme leader of the Brotherhood for a long time. Naturally, there will be all kinds of first-come-first-served things in the future.
However, Luo Wei was a little unsure whether this request was considered "excessive" or not.
It all depends on Van Cleef's attitude. After all, he has the final say.
Everyone looked at each other and whispered.
Van Cleef was silent for a moment, and then slowly said: "I want to say that being an assassin is not easy. Hard work and talent are indispensable... In fact, talent is more important. If you don't have the talent of an assassin, No matter how hard you try, it’s useless.”
"As far as I know, the vast majority of people do not have the talent to become an assassin. Cultivating a qualified assassin is not much easier than cultivating a high-level mage."
After a pause, Van Cleef added: "However, this condition is not too much. Since I have made a promise, I must fulfill it."
"Luo Wei, you can come to study with me in the future, and I will also set aside some time for you. As for how well you learn, it's up to you."
"After the meeting, it will be your first class." He smiled.
"Yes." Luo Wei responded.
Many people couldn't help but look envious when they looked at Luo Wei.
After all, being able to receive personal guidance from Van Cleef is something that many thieves dream of.
In addition to rewards based on merit, Van Cleef also announced his next plan. The income brought by the mine solved the brotherhood's financial constraints and also allowed the brotherhood to further expand its power.
Finally, Morgan suggested: "President, most of the miners who joined us are still willing to stay and work in the mines, but they hope to get more salary and rest time. What do you think-"
Van Cleef said directly: "I don't want any more violence or wage arrears to happen to these miners, but I don't plan to increase their wages much."
"The fraternity needs money and their labor to accomplish great things," he said.
Morgan hesitated for a moment: "With this arrangement, I'm worried that the miners will still be dissatisfied, just like they were with their previous supervisors."
"This is different, completely different!" Van Cleef waved his hand, "Those overseers serve the corrupt Stormwind City. They are waving their whips at the miners for the luxurious life of the Wrynn royal family."
"And what about us? Each one of us lives a life of poverty, and the toil of the miners is not dedicated to our narrow personal lives, but to the cause of the entire fraternity - and our cause is just .”
Van Cleef was right. At least so far, most of the senior members of the Brotherhood are still a group of poor stonemasons, or slightly better off architects.
And he himself has never been interested in luxury.
VanCleef was an outstanding stonemason, architect, and administrator. He built countless residences and churches, as well as the impregnable Watchfort and the magnificent Stormwind City.
He is also an extraordinary MI[-] assassin, spying, stealing, seizing, assassinating... His fighting footprints can be found in almost every dark corner of Azeroth.
It seems that there are only two things in Van Cleef's life - building and destroying.
After the meeting ended, everyone dispersed, leaving only Van Cleef and Rowe in the hall.
"Follow me." Van Cleef led Rowe out of the hall and came to an open space.
"First class, let me see your strength first." He waved and said, "Come on, Luo Wei, attack me and use your full strength."
Seeing this scene, many people couldn't help but come over to watch the fun.
More and more Defias thieves gathered around the clearing, looking forward to and discussing the next battle.
"Who is this guy, and why did the president let him attack him?"
"He is Luo Wei, the man who sneaked into the mine."
"So the reward he got was an opportunity to challenge the president? He should be considered a powerful guy, but challenging the president..."
"Of course not, what are you thinking? As far as I know, President Van Cleef is going to teach him how to become an assassin."
"Oh my god, if I had known I would have gone on that mission too!"
"Come on, I'm afraid you can't even get through the mine door."
"Haha."
Seeing that Rowe hesitated and made no move, Van Cleef smiled slightly: "I guarantee here in the name of the leader of the Brotherhood that you can use any means to attack me."
"If I am unfortunately killed by you, then I will forgive you."
