For example, the center of gravity of a statically stable aircraft is like the fulcrum of a seesaw. If the nose is at one end, the point of lift is at the other end.

When the airflow makes the aircraft look up, the elevation angle increases and the lift force increases, and the end of the lift force will go up, so that the aircraft will bow its head.

When the plane is pushed down by the airflow, the elevation angle decreases, the lift force decreases, and the end of the lift force goes down, making the plane head up.this

In this way, the aircraft can always correct external influences through its own adjustments, and fly more smoothly, but at the cost of poor maneuverability of the aircraft.

The statically unstable aircraft is very flexible because the aerodynamic center is in front of the center of gravity, but it cannot be controlled by traditional mechanical control methods, because it requires a large number of fine adjustments to the rudder surface every moment.

Therefore, to design an aircraft with relaxed static stability, it is necessary to use a computer to assist the pilot.

Zhou Yang thought for a while and said: "Static instability is determined by the different positions of the aircraft's aerodynamic focus and center of gravity. The aerodynamic focus can be changed by adding control surfaces, and the center of gravity can be changed by counterweight."
