Since then, Toho, Asahi Kasei, Mitsubishi Rayon and Sumitomo Corporation have successively invested in the production of polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber.

In 1970, Kureha Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. adopted Otani Sugiro's patent and first built a production plant with an annual output of 120 tons of ordinary pitch-based carbon fiber.

In 1976, Eagle Union Carbide Company successfully produced high-performance mesophase pitch-based carbon fiber, with an annual output of 113t...

In order to obtain these new materials, we have paid a considerable price. Some patriotic businessmen were even sentenced to nearly five years in prison for "illegal" purchasing of aerospace-grade carbon fiber.

Therefore, no matter how difficult the road ahead is, the material field represented by carbon fiber needs to be vigorously developed, just like the semiconductor industry.

What's more important is that Zhou Yang knows several key technologies for the production of carbon fiber materials.

If he is allowed to do it in the laboratory, he can at least develop carbon fiber materials below t700sc, but how to transform laboratory products into mass-produced products still requires exploration by the scientific research team.

In addition, high-grade carbon fiber for military use requires the use of large tow technology. This technology is very difficult and cannot be completed by one person. It requires the entire team to conduct concentrated research.
