The Vietnamese army can hide in the fortifications and fully exert their firepower to attack our army according to the pre-calibrated firing table.Even if they are eventually outnumbered, the enemy can retreat calmly.

Therefore, our army fell into a hard fight at the beginning of the battle. The tank company that served as the vanguard in the first round of attack lost 6 Type 62 tanks, and the losses were extremely heavy.

However, the enemy still underestimated the combat effectiveness of our army. After the troops' attack was blocked, the artillery reconnaissance radar deployed on the front line quickly discovered several enemy artillery positions on the highlands, and immediately organized artillery to fight back.

After receiving the order to counterattack, the artillery deployed in the rear immediately adjusted to bombard the various elements.

After a rumbling shelling, the highlands where the Southern Monkey Army was stationed instantly turned into a sea of ​​flames, accompanied by violent explosions of artillery shells.

Our army's artillery was still uneasy and launched the second and third rounds of saturated artillery fire on these enemy positions until the entire position became unresponsive.
