The Rise of the Muggles at Hogwarts

Chapter 55: The sudden change in the Ministry of Magic

On the other side, inside Hogwarts.

Almost exactly the same thing as in the original work was played out in front of Anthony.

Harry swooped down and swallowed the Snitch.

won the game.

The only difference was that Quirrell was very well-behaved today. He did not curse Harry's broom. It was probably because the noseless monster on his head sensed that Dumbledore's attention to him was beyond the threshold.

Speaking of which, Voldemort was really grateful to Jin Cangshui for causing trouble outside.

If she hadn't attracted Dumbledore's attention to the maximum extent, and even the attention of the entire British wizarding world, he might have been exposed long ago.

There are really people who are carrying the burden for him.

Anthony is not sure about Dumbledore's arrangements for Quirrell.

He had always let nature take its course, and for several months, except for a few hiccups, everything that happened at Hogwarts was almost the same as what Anthony remembered.

Just like the scene in the stadium now, Harry seemed to be vomiting, coughing hard, and then a golden thing fell on his palm.

"Oh! Harry Potter caught the Golden Snitch, Gryffindor won!" In the stands, commentator Jordan roared crazily.

A huge noise erupted, and everyone was celebrating, except Slytherin.

Even the little wizards from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw looked happy.

Marcus was the first to swoop down on the field. He walked up to Mrs. Hooch angrily and shouted: Potter fouled. He didn't catch the Golden Snitch at all. He almost swallowed it.

Unfortunately, Madam Hooch ignored him and loudly announced that Gryffindor had won.

The score was locked at 290 to sixty.

"We won! We won!"

Wood, Fred and other players rushed over and they held Harry high.

The entire Quidditch field erupted into cheers that echoed throughout the sky.

In the stands, Professor McGonagall happily followed her students and waved her arms.

She also looked specifically at Dumbledore on the other stand.

Those fiery eyes seemed to be saying, look, this is my student, how outstanding he is! (When not causing trouble)

Dumbledore also responded to this enthusiasm. He clapped softly along with the professors, but he seemed to be much more reserved and not as enthusiastic as Professor McGonagall.

enthusiasm...

Only Dumbledore himself knew that at this moment, his heart was filled with despair, and the cheerful voices around him could not stay in his heart for even a moment.

Just now, he received two letters from the Ministry of Magic.

One was from Kingsley, a member of the Order of the Phoenix.

The other is from Minister Cornelius Fudge. This is the fourth letter he has sent this week.

Each letter was more harshly worded.

The first few letters started with Dear... now it's Dumbledore.

But this is not to blame for the lack of courage of the Minister of Magic.

It was the public opinion in the magical world that exploded again.

Back to three days ago, as the Aurors went deeper, they found traces of Jin Cang Shui in Wales.

Originally, this should be a good thing.

But for the current Ministry of Magic, this has become the biggest bad thing.

Because this shows that their Ministry of Magic is not as good as the Muggle government. The Muggle government can lock the location of Jin Cangshui within a few weeks, but what about them?

It’s been a month!

There was nothing achieved except eating farts, and it was a real embarrassment to the wizard.

What made Fudge even more troubled was that in the arrest operation the day before yesterday, the Ministry of Magic dispatched almost all the Aurors who were idle. What was the result?

Jin Cangshui actually escaped under such a dragnet.

Escaped...taken...off.

fun!

The Aurors have become a joke, and so has the Ministry!

Unlike Umbridge, this failed arrest was reported on the front page of the "Daily Prophet" in two consecutive sections.

Just one day, howling letters from British wizards poured into the Ministry of Magic like snowflakes.

Various voices questioning the Ministry of Magic are getting louder and louder.

The most common question is whether Fudge has the ability to lead the wizarding world.

People have to turn their attention to another person, a hardliner who failed to run for minister, Barty Crouch.

Since Barty Crouch Sr. was unable to be nominated as Minister of Magic due to his son's affairs, he was transferred from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, which he was familiar with, to the Department of International Magical Exchange and Cooperation.

This is undoubtedly a suppression of his rights.

The Ministry of Magic is not a Muggle government.

The most important ministers in the British cabinet are the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Defence.

The remaining ministers of education, health, and transportation are in the same echelon.

Finally, the leader of the House of Lords and Lord Chancellor of the Privy Seal, the Secretary of State for International Trade and Chairman of the Trade Committee, and the ministers (ministers regardless of affairs, there really is such a minister...) are all part of the power cake.

Basically, among the 24 departments of the cabinet, only finance, internal affairs, foreign affairs, and national defense actually hold real power. (Perhaps the Permanent Secretary...)

This shows that the Foreign Secretary is quite important in the British system.

But in the magical world, it is completely different. The magical communities of various countries are independent of each other. The International Magical Exchange Department is almost a sinecure, because there is nothing particularly important that they need to deal with.

Since joining the Department of International Magical Exchange, Old Barty Crouch's greatest achievement has been to reopen the Triwizard Tournament. For this, he has to share the credit equally with the Department of International Magical Cooperation and the Department of Magical Sports.

See it!

The functions of the Department of International Magical Exchange and the Department of International Magical Cooperation are highly overlapping. The reputation that Barty Crouch Sr. had accumulated over half his life was completely destroyed, and he was reduced to this scrap department.

I have to say, it's really sad.

This may be the only director with real credentials in the Ministry of Magic.

But now it's different.

As the magical world, the voices of doubt become louder and louder, and eventually all these voices will converge on the minister.

The increasingly irritable Fudge has scolded his subordinates for trivial matters several times, which is completely contrary to his usual good-guy image.

"Look! Look, Dumbledore's suggestion!"

In the minister's office, Fudge was angrily waving a letter, a letter from the Hogwarts Headmaster's office.

"He actually asked me to contact the Muggle Prime Minister and ask for help from a Muggle government?"

"Muggles! Ask the Muggle government for help!!! It's lucky he can say it!"

Fudge yelled, as if he had been greatly humiliated, and the boiling fire in his chest became even more intense.

He yelled crazily: "Is he an old fool? Or is it that the principal of the dignified magic school has become a puppet of Muggles?"

"Mr. Minister, what we should do now is to capture Jin Cangshui as soon as possible. As for the source of the intelligence, it is not important." As an old Auror, Kingsley Shacklebolt is very clear about the current situation. How serious it is, that female devil is doing evil in the UK.

Now there are even hints of them regressing back to the dark days when Voldemort was raging.

It would be foolish to dwell on the source of intelligence these days.

Talent that can be captured is the key.

"Are you Dumbledore's man?" Fudge's eyes were fixed on Kingsley.
