Librarian at Hogwarts

Chapter 50 Two poor men in the sunset

Newt probably never imagined that he would be able to Disapparate in the ocean.

It’s probably the first time I’ve seen fish in the sea.

After all, Newt watched helplessly as a great white shark quickly opened its mouth and ran toward him. If he hadn't successfully apparated, he would have been the great white shark's lunch by now.

"Mr. Igno."

"I think our lunch will be ready soon."

Newt was on the beach, cooking the food he had brought from the sea.

Sea shrimps... scallops... sea crabs...

After adding the fragrant herbs, the pot quickly gave off an intoxicating aroma.

Ignat took a sip.

Not bad.

Then the two of them feasted and finished the whole pot.

"I think our teaching is over."

Newt almost jumped for joy when he heard this.

"Today." Igno added in time.

Newt's smile immediately became a little stiff, especially the big teeth he had just bared, and he hadn't even had time to put them back.

......

Ignat returned to Hogwarts.

Newt also returned to the lounge. He might be preparing to take a long nap to replenish his strength. After all, it could be seen from his slow pace that he was indeed tired.

Today is the library's closing day.

Igno had nothing to do. In fact, he had nothing serious to do every day.

He decided to go find Neal.

Look what this man who is even more idle than him is doing in Hogwarts all day long.

To be honest, if Principal Dippet wants to improve the school's morale, Neil will definitely be the first person Ignat feels is eliminated.

Neil on the Quidditch pitch.

Igno found him easily.

At this time, Neil was surrounded by a group of little wizards.

They looked like they were in third grade at most.

"Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenlock...it's great, all four houses are here." Ignat muttered in a low voice.

"Buy and leave, little wizards!"

Neil was shouting, but he didn't see Igno standing behind him at all, with his slender figure and the weird smile on his face.

Neil was completely immersed in competing with the little wizards on who would win this round of Quidditch.

"Ten for one, bet on Gryffindor!"

"Twenty to one, bet on Slytherin!"

"Fifty to one, Tie!"

"Why is Slytherin losing twenty to one? I think the players in Slytherin this time are much stronger than Gryffindor!"

The little Slytherins were obviously unconvinced.

The little lions would not spoil Slytherin. They argued: "Our seeker is the last champion! You are just trash!"

"Don't underestimate people! Your seeker will be beaten to the point where he can't see the north, south, east, and west in a short while!"

Obviously, such disputes made Neil's business even more popular.

It didn't take long before Neil's betting box was filled with a mountain-high pile of Nuts. There were also a few Sickles inside, and one or two sparkling gold Galleons could even be seen at the very end.

Neil's quiz box is interesting.

It is a wooden rectangular box, about the size of a suitcase.

Open it and there are two knight statues.

Then below are the two words 'red' and 'white', which respectively occupy half of a circle.

The two knight statues stand above the two words red and white.

When one party defeats the other, it represents a victory for one party.

When both sides wave their swords at the same time, it represents a draw.

Igno looked at the betting box and shook his head.

He felt that Principal Dippet might have seen this thing, which might give him more reason to quickly tighten the morale of the campus.

This Quidditch match was exciting.

The wonderful performance of the seeker and the motivating confrontation of the chaser made the audience exclaim.

Of course, no matter how powerful the exclamation was, it would not be as loud as Neil's.

Every little wizard who had placed a bet shouted loudly.

They were pulling their necks and shouting at the top of their lungs. Igno was sure that they had probably never worked so hard when practicing magic spells.

"Goal! Goal! Goal!"

The game has basically reached a fever pitch.

The score between Gryffindor and Slytherin was very close.

It's basically a difference of one or two points.

This made the Slytherin and Gryffindor wizards even more excited.

Many people have even upped their bets.

They may think that if they throw real money, the goddess of luck will favor them more.

"time up!"

"Slytherin scores another point!"

"Both sides have the same score! Tie!"

A rare draw!

The two knights on the betting box drew their stone swords and faced each other.

Behind the knight, two large openings appeared under the pile of gold coins as high as a hill, and all the gold coins fell into the large openings.

"Tie!"

"The banker kills all!"

Neil raised his eyebrows proudly. Obviously, no one was betting on a draw.

The little wizards all had wailing expressions on their faces.

"Continue next time."

Neil said goodbye to these cute wizards. He looked at these cuties with the same emotion as a wolf seeing sheep.

"It's a good harvest."

"It's just that if Principal Dippet knows that someone is in the school..."

Ignat came out from behind and looked at Neil who was happily counting gold coins.

"I believe that someone's mouth will be tighter than the mouth of a stone statue."

Neil smiled, and before Igno could finish speaking, he threw a few Sickles to Igno.

"Don't think you can bribe me with just a few Sickles."

Ignat said honestly, but his hand quickly put these Sicos into his pocket.

"It's so sad to hear you say that."

Neal screamed.

"Didn't I save some savings for the two of us? Look at your wizard robe. You haven't bought a new one for a long time."

Ignat nodded after hearing this.

Two impoverished men sit side by side in the sunset.

"I think I need to find something else to do."

Igno counted the money in his pocket.

If nothing else happened, he probably wouldn't be able to afford the food to feed the Acromantula next time.

"Can't we just let the eight-eyed spider go to the Forbidden Forest to find food on its own?"

Neil stroked his forehead and said helplessly.

Ignat said quickly: "Of course. It's just that the next time we see it, it may become a dish on someone else's grill, and I think the owner of that barbecue may invite you to taste it together."

"Then I suggest adding a little more sauce." Neil said with a smile, then he patted his head and continued: "Speaking of things, when I met Professor Bathida today, she told me that the school is looking to recruit A Quidditch field keeper. The salary is four gold galleons a month. I was wondering if I should apply?"

"Of course. Otherwise, how can I replace my wizard robe with a new one?"

Ignat looked at Neil and said affirmatively.
