A sharp Hogwarts

Chapter 7 Then everything became abnormal!

As night fell, the expected storm hit them from all directions.

The rolling waves slapped against the walls of the cabin, and the raging wind made several filthy windows rattle.

Aunt Petunia found some moldy quilts from another room and made a bed for Dahlia on the moth-eaten sofa. She also made a bed for Dudley on the flat floor near the fireplace.

As for Harry, he could only find the least comfortable piece of floor and huddled up under a thin, shabby quilt.

After finally making sure that the doors and windows were closed, Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon went to sleep on the bumpy and uneven bed next door.

Soon there were only three ten-year-old children huddled under the quilt in the damp, cold room.

Late at night, it rained and stormed, and the storm became more and more unbridled.

"Dudley, do you want to sleep on the sofa?"

In the darkness, Dalia whispered to Dudley.

"Bring me your luminous watch, and I'll let you sleep on my sofa."

Without any surprise, Dudley immediately agreed to the exchange and hurriedly took the watch off his thick wrist.

Under Harry's confused gaze, Dalia exchanged "beds" with Dudley while holding pillows.

He moved to the dry ground next to the fireplace, turned his head and winked slyly in Harry's direction.

A moment later, Dudley's thunderous snoring sounded from the sofa.

And Harry finally knew Dalia's purpose.

"No, your birthday gift——"

Dalia gently threw the luminous watch to Harry and whispered in a low voice.

"Sorry, this is all I have now - but I can still countdown with you tonight -"

"Dalia, you..."

Harry caught the watch helplessly and looked at Daria who came closer.

"Hush - don't wake Dudley up -"

"Remember the story I told last night? At twelve o'clock tonight, there will be a very wonderful and interesting person visiting."

Dalia said mysteriously, her eyes fixed on the moving hands on the luminous dial.

This was a milestone event in the original work, and she didn't want to miss a second.

"Wonderful, interesting visitor?" Harry repeated subconsciously.

"Well, his name is Rubeus Hagrid, Keykeeper and Gamekeeper at Hogwarts."

Dalia nodded, suddenly became interested, and enthusiastically took the initiative to introduce.

It just so happened that we still had some time, and we couldn't retreat into bed to sleep, so we might as well give Harry some more science knowledge.

"Hagrid is an extremely strong wizard. He is three to four meters tall and carries a pink umbrella with him."

"Pink... umbrella?"

"Don't interrupt. Although he may look a little fierce, he is not a bad person - Harry, he was the one who picked you up from the ruins back then."

"There are many magical animals living around Hogwarts Castle. As the gamekeeper of Hogwarts, Hagrid's main job is to deal with them..."

…………

In Dalia's story and the ticking of the clock hands, the time approaches zero minute by minute.

As the time approached, Dalia also lost the desire to tell stories and thought about something alone thoughtfully.

Silence gradually returned to the room, leaving only the sound of the howling wind and rain outside.

5 minutes left.

Harry heard something crunching outside the house.

3 minutes left.

Are those surging waves crashing against the rocks?

2 minutes left.

What is that strange crunching sound? Is it the sound of rocks breaking and rolling into the sea?

It will be midnight in one minute.

Has the mysterious gamekeeper arrived? How did he get here?

Harry had no intention of looking at his watch.

He raised his head and stared closely at the wooden door not far away, subconsciously holding his breath.

According to Dalia's "prophecy" last night, the mysterious wizard will arrive on time at midnight.

So, is the mysterious visitor coming? !

"Da—"

Harry turned his head and was about to ask Dalia a few questions in a low voice.

I happened to see Dalia lying on the dusty ground patiently drawing something.

"Come here, Harry, this way..."

As if aware of Harry's gaze, Dalia turned her head and waved quickly towards Harry.

On the thick dust, a simple two-layer cake pattern appeared at some point, just like the one when Dudley was alive.

As he walked over, Dalia explained while patiently drawing eleven candles on the cake.

"I originally planned to draw something more complex and beautiful, but I may be running out of time..."

She looked up at the luminous dial in Harry's hand, 11:59:57.

three - two - one -

Twelve o'clock sharp.

"Happy birthday, Harry-"

Dahlia pulled Harry to the dust cake and pointed to the row of candles above.

"Make a wish. By the way, don't make too weird a wish——"

Harry nodded, closed his eyes, made a wish, and blew hard forward.

The candle outlined by dust gradually dissipates...

boom!

The whole hut was shaken.

Harry and Dahlia exchanged a look, sat up quickly, and stared nervously at the door.

Hagrid is here!

…………

boom! There was another knock on the door, and Dudley woke up.

"What's that noise? Is our roof collapsing?" Dudley said drowsily.

The door to Mr. and Mrs. Dursley's room opened with a loud crash, and Mr. Dursley ran into the room crawling with a rifle in his arms.

"Who is that outside the door?!" he yelled tremblingly, "I'm warning you - I have a gun!"

"Harry, don't be afraid. Hagrid is a bit stronger, so it makes sense that he would hammer the door louder."

Unlike her horrified parents and brother, Dahlia looked at the door excitedly and whispered to Harry.

"The most I can do is knock down the door panel. Everything is under control. There will be no danger."

Compared with cinemas, this audience space is obviously much more exciting now.

"Hammer, hammer down?! Hagrid - wait, Dalia..."

Since Dahlia did not lower her voice deliberately this time, Mrs. Dursley obviously heard Dahlia's conversation with Harry.

She looked at her daughter in shock, and then glared fiercely at Harry who was standing aside.

"You kid! What on earth did you say to Dalia! Who is that dangerous guy outside?!"

"Well, Hagrid is actually not dangerous - as for why I know..."

Dalia opened her mouth and was about to introduce Hagrid to her parents when a strange voice suddenly came from outside the door.

zheng~~

Hmm, it seems like... um... the sound of a sword being unsheathed?

It was quiet outside for a while.Then--

Click!

A strange dark red light lit up.

Thick, damp wooden doors split left and right.

With a deafening crash, the door panel broke into two pieces and fell heavily to the ground.

Standing in the rainstorm was a formidable giant, his face almost entirely hidden by long unkempt hair and a thick, tangled beard.

The giant was silent for a moment, then took steps and walked in slowly.

The cabin floor creaked with every step he took.

Suddenly a forked lightning flashed across the sky, and everyone in the hut gasped in unison.

The lightning illuminated the giant's face. They had never seen such a fierce and savage face, and what was even more frightening was what was in his hands.

Dalia's words of comfort to her parents stopped abruptly, and she looked ahead blankly.

Pale lightning flashed across the sky again, illuminating the source of the strange red light before.

The giant "suspected to be Hagrid" is holding...

It didn't seem to be the pink umbrella with the old wand hidden in her memory...

But a handful...

A ferocious dark red boning knife nearly two meters long? !

"...Mr. Hagrid?"

Dalia asked softly, hesitantly.

Noticing Dalia's name, the giant subconsciously turned to look at Dalia.

"Stay away from my daughter, you damn monster!"

However, before Dalia could finish her words, Mr. Dursley suddenly let out an angry roar.

Unlike the hesitation in the original work, Mr. Dursley pulled the trigger of the rifle without hesitation.

boom!
