Chapter 9 Chapter 9: Potions Class

Kahn's life at Hogwarts can be said to be extremely fulfilling. Almost every professor likes her, including Professor Quirrell here. Only Snape always saw her nose as something other than a nose, and her eyes as something other than eyes.

Every time in Potions class, he would always come to find fault with her, but after watching her make a perfect potion, because as a teacher, the students felt happy after completing their homework perfectly, and wanted to scold but couldn't. They merged with each other, which caused him to always give her extra points with a very bad look on his face.

The only thing all the professors have in common is that each of them gave Kahn a pile of endless homework. They seemed to think that she was an invincible Iron Man and could do anything.

She never dreamed that the biological clock she had insisted on for four years would be forced to change because she couldn't finish her homework at 7:30...

Every week, they also have Potions lessons with Gryffindor. This is the happiest time for Kahn, because Snape will just stare at Harry Potter instead of continuing to use his vagina. Cece's eyes caught her by mistake.

The scene at that time probably looked like this:

Kahn sat in the first row of the classroom, closer to Gryffindor House. Malfoy was still angry with her, so he sat in the second row between Goyle and Crabbe.

Snape always called her name before every class, and Kahn was used to him saying something weird when he called her name, something like: "Oh, Miss Novia, the diligent and talented genius, was also the first one to come to the classroom today. I should reward her." What are you?" and the like.

Kahn guessed in his mind that Snape must have thought that she would deduct a large amount of points from Slytherin sooner or later. This was really biased. She had obviously been waiting for dawn to go out recently.

In short, this time, Snape followed the roll call before class, but did not pause when Kahn was called, which disappointed Kahn, who was preparing for his dean's wise words today. But soon she realized that it was not that there were no wisecracks today, but that they were reserved for another person.

"Harry Potter," he said softly, "our new arrival is a famous big shot."

Malfoy and his friends Goyle and Crabbe immediately covered their mouths with their hands and started laughing. Kahn also quickly applauded.

Harry looked at Kahn angrily, not understanding why she did this. Malfoy laughed at him. He could understand it, after all, he had always been so annoying, but he thought Kahn just went to Slytherin and was with them. Not the same kind of people.

"What are you doing?" Snape's eyes as dark as tunnels moved towards Kahn, "Do you think that because your grades in Potions are better, you can do whatever you want in my class?"

Kahn put away his hand, looked at Snape who looked unhappy, and then looked at Harry who was a little angry and sad, and whispered silently: "I'm sorry, I thought you said that, Professor, because you wanted us to applaud and welcome him." mean"

Upon hearing this, Snape looked like he was about to vomit, but luckily he didn't dwell on the matter any further.

"You are here to learn the precise science and art of potion-making," he began. "Since there is no foolish waving of wands, many of you will not believe that this is magic. I do not I don’t expect you to truly appreciate the beauty of the slowly simmering crucible emitting white smoke and wafting out bursts of fragrance. You won’t truly understand the magical power of the liquid flowing into people’s blood vessels, which makes people’s hearts wander and their wills blurred... I can teach you how to increase your reputation, brew glory, and even prevent death - but only if you are not the stupid fool I often encounter."

After his two simple opening remarks, the whole class fell silent. Kahn quietly saw Hermione Granger, a Gryffindor, move almost to the edge of her chair and lean forward, as if to prove that she was not that stupid.

"Potter!" said Snape suddenly, "what would I get if I added narcissus root powder to a mugwort infusion?"

Harry looked at him hesitantly, "I don't know, sir."

"Tsk, tsk - it seems that fame doesn't mean everything." Snape curled his lips contemptuously.

Seeing this, Kahn suddenly realized that Snape didn't like Harry and was making things difficult for him. She thought he was really praising Harry just now. Now she understood why Harry looked that way when she applauded. He must have decided in his mind that she was Snape's flattery, or someone who didn't please Snape.

Snape then asked two more questions, but Harry didn't even answer. By this time, Malfoy and the others sitting behind Kahn were already shaking with laughter.

Seeing Harry being deducted a point by Snape for excuses, she suddenly felt glad that she was sorted into Slytherin, because no matter what Snape said about her, it was just a big deal and a small one, and she would not seize the opportunity. Just deduct points.

Potions class continued, and Snape divided them into pairs and instructed them to mix a simple potion to cure boils.

Malfoy took the lead to form a team with Crabbe. Kahn wanted Goyle to team up with her, but before she could say anything, he had already formed a team with someone else. Many people were eager to invite Kahn, but as soon as they walked to the edge and before they spoke, Malfoy glared at them and they didn't dare to invite them.

After all, the whole Slytherin knew about the quarrel between them. Malfoy himself refused to talk to her and asked others to ignore her.

After everyone was grouped up, only Kahn was left alone. Snape came to her side and said slowly: "Why don't you move? You already feel that you can do it alone, no." Do you need to listen to the teacher?"

"No, Professor, I am isolated." Kahn raised his head pitifully and looked at him with tearful eyes.

"..." He paused and glanced at the other students in the classroom. The Slytherin students who were seen looked away slightly guiltily. "No one is isolating you here - it seems that Miss Novia, who is like a fish in water among our teachers, is not very popular with her peers." Snape said.

"Then can I go into a group alone?" Kahn said without hope.

"Didn't you hear what I said? The requirement is to work in pairs." Snape said indeed.

Kahn asked expectantly: "Then can I be paired with you, Professor?"

"...Break the line once, and you will be in a group this time."

"Okay." Kahn lowered his head to weigh the nettles.

"..."

In the meantime, Snape kept walking around and watching them do it. Everyone was criticized, except Malfoy and Kahn. Although Snape always liked to pick on Kahn, he would not belittle them for no reason. Problem potion.

Just as he was showing everyone how perfectly Malfoy cooked the tentacled slugs, Neville's cauldron suddenly exploded, spraying the potion all over the floor.

Snape angrily scolded him and deducted a point from Harry, who was next to him, because he was so close but did not tell him not to add porcupine quills.

Kahn was once again grateful to be sorted into Slytherin.

While other freshmen would still get lost due to the scattered stairs, Kahn was already familiar with the terrain of Hogwarts, and even found several secret passages that could quickly lead to dormitories and the auditorium for meals.

Malfoy was not angry with her for a long time, but it was impossible for him to take the initiative to apologize to her. If he didn't say it, Kahn wouldn't be able to tell, so every time she ate, she would deliberately avoid Malfoy's choice. Normally, she would sit next to Bloody Barrow, and everyone would stay as far away from him as possible. But Kahn has always insisted on establishing a good relationship with him.

However, Kahn and Malfoy managed to get back together before taking flying lessons with Gryffindor on Thursday, and they reconciled very quickly.

This was all thanks to Malfoy's mother, who sent Malfoy a large bag of sweets. Watching his majestic owl fly away, Kahn said smoothly while eating ice cream: "Your owl looks very majestic."

Malfoy, who was sitting diagonally across from her, was stunned for a moment after hearing this, but he quickly responded and said, "Of course."

Kahn nodded and continued eating the food in front of her.

Malfoy seemed to struggle for a moment before he said to her: "He is here to deliver the candy that mother sent me."

"Did your mother make it herself?"

"Yes, it's much tastier than the ones in school. Do you want some?" He had already put his hand into the candy bag, and it was hard to imagine what would happen if Kahn refused at this time.

"Thank you if you can." She reached out and took the candy from Malfoy and said thank you.

That night, other students in Slytherin saw Malfoy pulling the collar of Kahn's back, preventing her from going back to the dormitory and forcing her to stay in the common room.

"Let go of Malfoy. I have to finish my homework quickly and go to bed. I will continue to hear about you riding a broom to escape the helicopter during the day tomorrow." Kahn couldn't avoid him and could only say helplessly.

"You can write here, and no one will hinder you." Malfoy said lazily while tugging on her robe and leaning half of her body on the sofa in the lounge.

"Will you hinder her?" He looked at Crabbe and Goyle. They shook their heads. He looked at Pansy again. She glanced at Kahn unhappily and said nothing, "Theodore?" He looked at Book, shook his head without raising his head. Theodore Nott is a tall, thin boy. Also often with Malfoy and the others.

"Look." He said to Kahn again, "Why do you want to go back to your dormitory that doesn't even have a chair?"

"There are chairs," she retorted quietly.

"so what?"

"...Okay." She gave up struggling and sat next to Malfoy to open today's homework.

Seeing her sit down, Malfoy snorted proudly. Continue chatting loudly with Pansy and the others. In the meantime, I didn’t forget to ask Kahn what he thought from time to time.

In short, this night, except for the fact that Kahn heard that there was a white peacock in the Malfoy family's yard, she dismissed the rest as nonsense.
