Mysterious Walker at Hogwarts

Chapter 97 Dumbledore and Grindelwald? No reason to refuse

After resurrecting his life, Dean never intended to be anyone's heir. He just wanted to be his own unique self. Even if he kept borrowing the name of Mysterious Walker, it was just a temporary measure before he could truly grow up.

Now that Aberforth is saying that he may inherit Grindelwald's mantle, from the inside, Dean is resisting, even though he once liked this character who was not mentioned much in the original work.

"Dean, have you ever thought about it? In fact, everything is fate." Aberforth looked at the angry Dean and smiled tolerantly, "I'm afraid you have a reason why you have to take the initiative to see Grindelwald."

"What's the reason?" Dean asked angrily.

"This blood oath pendant." Aberforth raised the pendant and dangled it in front of Dean's eyes.

"I don't think I would take the initiative to see Grindelwald for this pendant!" Dean said stubbornly.

"Dean, why don't you think about why the mysterious black figure who arrived first before you put this pendant? As if it was specially left for you?" Aberforth asked.

"I think this is just a coincidence." Dean said stubbornly.

"What about the music box?" Aberforth suddenly pulled on the music box, catching Dean off guard.

"Is there any relationship between the two?" Dean asked puzzled.

"On the surface, there is no relationship, but what if I told you that the shadow that left you the blood oath pendant is the same person who gave your sister the music box?" Aberforth smiled.

"You mean that dark figure is Professor Dumbledore?" Dean suddenly realized. No wonder he felt a little familiar when he saw that figure.

If he hadn't seen Dumbledore at that time, he might have recognized him at that time; after arriving at Hogwarts, due to his own reasons, Dean always stayed away from Dumbledore, so he never thought of bringing him to Dumbledore. The two are linked together.

Now after being pointed out by Aberforth, Dean realized what he had missed.

"He always likes to be mysterious, as if this is the only way to show his 'greatness'." Aberforth made no secret of his contempt.

Dean wisely chose to keep silent. He didn't want to get involved in the feud between the two brothers.

"Now you understand? Albus deliberately left this blood oath pendant to you, just to let you take the initiative to see Grindelwald." Aberforth said.

"I don't understand why Professor Dumbledore did this?" Dean almost blurted out GGAD.

"Who knows?" Aberforth's tone was full of disdain, "Maybe you can try to find the answer from this blood oath pendant."

"My curiosity is not enough for me to take the initiative to meet Grindelwald because of this." Dean emphasized, although he is indeed very interested in the rumored GGAD.

"Dean, I always thought you were very smart and perceptive, but now it seems..." Aberforth said with a hint of regret.

"What do you want to say? What did I miss..." Dean suddenly woke up. "Are you talking about the music box? Is it possible that only Grindelwald can solve Knightley's Obscurus? This is Professor Dumbledore Tips for me?”

"You finally thought of it. Judging from Albus's behavior, this is very possible." Aberforth said with deep relief.

"If this is really the case, then I'm afraid I really have to take the initiative to see Grindelwald." Dean murmured to himself, and he must admit that this was a reason he could not refuse.

"Fortunately, this matter is not urgent. You still have plenty of time to think about it." Aberforth stood up and put the Blood Oath Pendant into Dean's hand, seemingly intending to end this long conversation.

"You're right. At least for now, I don't have the ability to go to Nurmengard alone. I don't even know the exact location there." Dean agreed with Aberforth. He planned to go to Newt Sis first. Kamander tries his luck, but if it doesn't work, he has to ask Dumbledore face to face before making a decision.

"Dean, I want to borrow this wand temporarily. It won't be long. I'll return it to you in the evening at most. I guarantee you can make it to the Christmas party at Hogwarts." Aberforth waved the blackthorn wand. Said to Dean.

Dean's heart sank. Aberforth returned the Blood Oath Pendant to him, but did not return the blackthorn wand. He had this premonition, and now it has come true.

The good news was that Aberforth seemed to be only planning to borrow it for a day—no, only half a day left.

Hopefully he will keep his promise and return it in time.

"Just take it -" Dean could only say generously. He didn't have the courage to use force to take the wand back from Aberforth - he couldn't do it again.

"But I have one last question. I hope you can give me a clear answer." Dean said.

"What's the problem?" Aberforth asked.

"Is this Blood Oath Pendant the same one that Professor Dumbledore and Grindelwald owned together back then?" Dean's words made Aberforth stagger as he was about to go out.

He yelled out of anger: "I don't know, I suggest you ask them this question yourself!"

With that said, Aberforth slammed the door and left, bringing an unsatisfactory end to this originally harmonious deep conversation.

……

Having lost the blackthorn wand and not daring to expose the Thunderbird wand, Dean stayed in his room all day long, trying to resolve the memories of others he had absorbed from the dementors, and finally did not waste his time.

In the evening, Aberforth appeared in Dean's room on time.

But Aberforth's state was obviously abnormal. He looked very dazed, as if he had been hit hard.

"Take your wand and your luggage and leave immediately!" Aberforth yelled at Dean angrily, "I never want to see you and your wand here again!"

"What happened?" Dean thought he had behaved very well today, and Aberforth's gaffe was definitely not his fault.

"Nothing happened! But I just hate your... wand! So unless you change the wand, don't appear in front of me again! Goodbye!" Aberforth roughly removed Dean and Mundungus. After throwing the mailed luggage into the ice and snow outside, he slammed the door of the Pig Head Bar and hung a "Closed Today" sign outside.

This is so unusual!

You know today is Christmas, a great day to make money, but Aberforth actually gave up like this?

The confused Dean was puzzled, and then he noticed a whispering sound coming from around him.

When Dean took a look, he saw that some customers who had probably been having fun in the bar and who had also been kicked out suddenly and inexplicably were pointing at him.

There was no doubt that Dean, the last person to be kicked out of the bar, was regarded as the culprit.

After realizing this, Dean wrapped his robe tightly, dragged his luggage and walked sadly towards Hogwarts.

On the way back, Dean took the opportunity to check the blackthorn wand when no one was paying attention, and found that Aberforth had been using the flashback charm on this wand almost all day.

Dean seemed to understand why Aberforth was so out of control.
