Mysterious Walker at Hogwarts

Chapter 52 The beginning of the mystery

"Who are you? Why do you appear in the castle?" Filch looked at the guy wearing a clown mask in front of him warily, his voice was hoarse and sad.

He swore he had never seen a guy dressed like this before. He tried to discover the other person's true face from some details, but he always unconsciously thought of some ancient legends of Hogwarts.

What a guy in the way!

Dean cursed inwardly. In fact, all he had to do was take off his mask, which would be enough to scare Filch away, but he had no intention of doing so.

He still had the Thunderbird wand in his hand, so one more person would know that he had another wand, and Filch was still so unreliable.

"Mr. Filch, who do you think I am?" Dean replied in a hollow voice.

"Mask, fog, hollow voice... Mystery, are you the Mystery Walker?" Filch's face suddenly became extremely ugly.

"Mysterious Walker?" Dean was a little confused. He didn't expect that Filch also knew this name.

"No, you are definitely not that legendary figure. That guy has disappeared for who knows how many years!" Filch's face regained a lot of color, and he said as if to cheer himself up.

"Whatever you think, but I don't think you can control me." Dean chuckled, neither admitting nor denying.

"Can't control it?" Filch raised his voice, "I am the school administrator!"

"It seems you have never learned the lesson. There are some people you can't control." Dean sighed and raised his wand very reluctantly.

"W-what do you want to do? Dumbledore has special protection regulations for me and cannot cast spells on me!" Filch was frightened when he saw this guy wearing a strange mask raising his wand towards him.

"I remember that school rule, but that rule is only for students, right?" Dean raised his wand with a "grinful smile".

"Help, help!" Filch yelled in fright and ran away without looking back.

"What a coward!" Dean chuckled, shook the Thunderbird wand quickly, and wrapped himself in the mist of illusion again - this was his real purpose.

Dean wasn't so unrestrained as to actually cast a spell on a squib.

Filch's reaction inspired him.

Dean felt it was time to create a mysterious identity. After all, he was only a first-year student and it was very inconvenient to do many things.

In fact, the Mysterious Walker suits his taste quite well.

Dean had vaguely had this plan after he obtained the Mysterious Walker badge, but at that time he felt that he still needed to investigate the legend about the "Mysterious Walker" before he could decide whether to use this identity.

Firstly, to avoid exposing the secret, and secondly, who knows what this mysterious guy has done before. Dean doesn't want to become the scapegoat for no reason.

Since Filch also mentioned the Mysterious Walker, it at least means that this person has appeared in Hogwarts.

Dean can confirm that "Mysterious Walker" is definitely not mentioned in "Hogwarts, a School History". This can only mean that Mysterious Walker is too mysterious, so that the people who revised the school history are not sure whether he actually exists, so It was not included in "Hogwarts: A School History".

So if you want to know the detailed information about the "Secret Walker", you can only hope in the restricted book section of the library.

Dean found another good reason for himself to go to the forbidden book area.

Fortunately, Professor Quirrell's approval note has been obtained, and Dean can quickly go to the restricted book area to find what he wants.

After covering himself again with the fog of illusion, Dean turned his head and suddenly found Mrs. Norris staring at him in the dark corner.

"Aha, Mrs. Norris, I guess you won't tell anyone what you just saw, right?" Dean asked directly in cat language.

A look of surprise appeared on Mrs. Norris's face. She obviously didn't expect that besides Filch, anyone else could communicate with her in cat language.

"I, I didn't see anything!" Mrs. Loris backed away in fear - there were no protection regulations for her in the school rules, and this weirdo didn't seem to be bound by the school rules.

"What a smart little kitten." Dean gently shook his wand inadvertently, and the scope of the mist of illusion quietly expanded, including Mrs. Norris.

When Mrs. Norris discovered that she was surrounded by fog, it was already too late. Everything around her disappeared. Only the thick fog that could not be dispelled entangled her. A seemingly non-existent pendulum appeared in front of her, and a hollow voice appeared in front of her. Get into her mind: "Go to sleep, when you wake up, you will forget everything that just happened..."

With Dean's comfort, Mrs. Norris fell asleep as quickly as possible. Dean placed her properly in the Charms classroom before turning around and leaving.

After returning to the restricted area on the fourth floor, Dean lowered his voice and said: "Those who are spying in secret, you can come out now."

"Are you really a Mystery Walker?" A voice that suppressed excitement came from the shadows, and then Professor Quirrell walked out with a fanatical look on his face.

"Quirinus Quirrell, it is indeed you!" Dean tried his best to stabilize his emotions and prevent his voice from fluctuating.

As soon as he discovered Mrs. Norris, he felt as if someone was spying on her. He took the risk and tricked Quirrell out.

Dean was secretly glad that he had just used the hypnosis technique he had mastered in his previous life on Mrs. Norris instead of the sleeping spell. Otherwise, Quirrell would definitely have discovered the flaw. After all, his spell-casting techniques were still relatively immature.

"You know me, that's right! According to legend, the Mysterious Walker has unparalleled precognition ability!" Quirrell's excited voice changed its tone, but Dean felt something was wrong. Is Voldemort in Quirrell's body awake now?

"It seems that you have indeed heard of the legend of the Mysterious Walker." Dean answered ambiguously, "But how can you confirm that I am it? Prophecy is never the exclusive property of one person."

"I don't care if you are a real Mystic Walker or not, I just need you to help me predict one thing." Quirrell's tone suddenly changed, and he said in a sharp voice, his attitude was completely different from Quirrell just now.

Dean was startled, vaguely feeling that it was Voldemort who was talking to him now.

"What do you want to know?" Dean was conceited while thinking quickly about how to get out as soon as possible.

He is not so arrogant that he can compete with Voldemort now - even Voldemort who is extremely weak at this moment.

"The Philosopher's Stone. Where was Nico Flamel's Philosopher's Stone hidden by Dumbledore?" "Quirrell" hissed in a low voice impatiently.

Isn't it deep inside the door behind you?Dean almost blurted it out, but then he thought it was wrong.

In the original book, the professors at Dumbledore's United School put up heavy protection for the Philosopher's Stone, and Professor Quirrell was also one of the participants. It is impossible for him not to know where the Philosopher's Stone was hidden.

But Voldemort asked this question at this moment, indicating that Dumbledore's arrangements have not been completed, otherwise he would have asked how to pass those tests.

Dean couldn't help but feel guilty. He had almost revealed an important secret just now - if Voldemort knew that the protection of the Philosopher's Stone was not ready yet, he would most likely make a desperate move, and God knows what would happen.
