A Pirate's Counting Life

Chapter 224 Tragedy

What Senor looks forward to most every day is to go home. As the underground power on the island declines, Senor spends more time with his family. Doflamingo gives him the management of the island.

Early the next morning, Senior finished eating the slightly burnt omelette on the plate, kissed Luthien's forehead and whispered.

"I'm leaving!"

"Be careful on the road!"

Luthien straightened her husband's tie, smoothed the wrinkles on his clothes, and stood at the door watching the other man's back disappear from sight.

After entering the forest, Senior used his ability to quickly swim towards the town, stopped 100 meters away from the town, and walked calmly into the town to a house.

When the door was opened, several guards looked sideways and shouted respectfully, "Sir!"

Senior ignored everyone and went straight into the room and did not leave until the afternoon.

"Husband, come back!"

Luthien took two steps forward and hugged Senior, whispering what Jimlet had done today.

Senior listened patiently to his wife's nagging. The two of them slowly came to the baby room and looked at the neatly arranged baby supplies and the sleeping Jimlet. Senior hugged Lucien next to him and whispered. He said "Thank you for your hard work..."

"It's not hard! But there's not much milk powder left. Remember to bring some when you come back tomorrow, as well as diapers!"

"Okay! Leave it to me!"

Senior smiled and nodded, slowly untied Luthien's apron and tied it on himself, looking at the busy figure in the kitchen with a happy smile on Luthien's face.

"Wow wow wow wow..."

The sudden cry interrupted Luthien's contemplation, and before she could get up, she saw Senior turning off the stove in a panic, dropping his apron and running to the nursery.

"Puchi~"

Lucien, who had just reached the door of the nursery, couldn't help laughing when she looked at the helpless Senior standing by the crib.

"Ah...how should Luthien do this?"

Senior, who heard the laughter, seemed to have found a savior. He watched Luthien skillfully take off Jimlet's diaper, clean the other person's butt with a wet tissue, and then put on a new diaper.

"The little guy is so naughty... He must have embarrassed your father!"

Luthien smiled and touched her son's butt without any reproach in her eyes. Senior, who was holding a cigarette, turned red and stood aside, feeling at a loss.

"Okay, hubby, go and cook!"

Lucien walked to Senior with her son in her arms and gently pushed the other man's arm.

"Oh oh oh! Good!"

Senor ran back to the kitchen quickly with a honest smile on his face. Half an hour later, the family sat at the dining table. Young Jimlet was held in Lucien's arms, leisurely sucking the fresh milk from the bottle. Senior forked a piece of steak and handed it to Lucien's mouth.

Looking at the steak in front of her, Luthien's face turned red and she subconsciously looked around, finding no one behind her.He quickly bit down on the steak and lowered his head, not daring to look into Senior's eyes, chewing the steak slowly in his mouth.

"Yeah..."

Jimlet roared dissatisfied, reminding his mother to take care of her bottle.

Luthien stuffed the pacifier into Jimlet's mouth, raised her head and saw a piece of steak. Luthien leaned forward and bit into the steak. Although her heart was still beating, she no longer felt the same shame and anger as the first time.

After dinner, Senior took over the task of washing the dishes. Ten minutes later, the two of them knelt down next to the crib. Senior watched Lucien's movements carefully and wrote down all the steps.

After singing five children's songs in a row, he coaxed Jimlet to sleep. Senior quietly came to the bedside and turned off the light. The crisp sound of turning off the light sounded in the quiet room. The two of them held their breath and listened carefully. Listening to Jimlet's movements and their son's steady breathing, the two of them breathed a sigh of relief and slowly lay on the bed hugging each other and fell asleep.

Three days later, Senior was drinking coffee in the study when he suddenly received a phone call. His expression changed and he used his ability to swim quickly through the wall and into the distance.

"My husband is not good! Husband?"

Lucien carried Jimlet to the study and looked at the steaming coffee. She looked around blankly, but she didn't see that familiar figure.

"What should I do! Why did I suddenly have a fever!"

Lucien held her son with a look of anxiety on her face, and it took her a few seconds to realize that she had to go to the hospital.

"Tell me! What's going on!"

Senior looked at his trembling men with an indifferent expression. Several minions swallowed and whispered, "We didn't expect him to betray..."

"Okay, I don't want to hear this! Get the ship ready and go to sea right away!"

Two days later, Senior stood in front of a young man in black, stepped hard on the other man's hand with his right foot, and a patterned fruit fell from the young man's hand.

Senior bent down to pick up the fruit and said in a cold tone, "You are so stupid...you chose the former between money and power."

Senior put the fruit back into the wooden box, crushed the man's collar with his foot, and strolled towards the pirate ship. On his way back, he encountered a storm and it took him five days to reach the port.

"Keep the things safe! The young master will come to pick them up next week!"

Senior threw the fruit to his men and ran quickly to the villa. The sky was very gloomy, just like Senior's uneasy mood.

Rain fell from the dark clouds along with thunder and lightning, and Senior thought that as long as he extended an invitation to walk in the rain, Luthien, who loved rain, would be able to forgive him for leaving without saying goodbye.

When she opened the door, she saw Lucien sitting by the window with a gloomy face, holding a picture frame in her hand.

"Lucien..."

Senior shouted in a low voice, and the sight in front of him made him feel a little uneasy.

"Gimlet died...On the day you left a week ago, the child suddenly had a fever. Although he was sent to the hospital, he could not be saved."

Senior's body trembled and his pupils suddenly shrank. Before he could say anything, Luthien swayed her body and came to him. She raised her right hand high and slapped Senior on the face.

"Liar! You liar! I have contacted the bank countless times! They say there are no employees like you! What on earth do you do!"

"Lucien, listen to my explanation!"

Senior held his wife's hand hard, but he swallowed his words again.

Looking at Senior who was suddenly silent, Luthien's eyes flashed with despair, she pushed Senior away and shouted loudly

"You liar! Don't follow me! You have lost the qualifications to be a father!"

Watching the figure gradually disappearing, Senor leaned against the door frame with bitter eyes. A few minutes later, a loud noise was heard in the distance.

Senor looked in the direction of the sound, his expression changed drastically and he quickly rushed out of the villa.

"No! Lúthien!"

Looking at the collapsed slope in front of him, Senior roared and dug into the dirt. A few minutes later, Senior swam out of the dirt with a figure in his arms.

"I'm sorry...your wife is in very bad condition..."

"Has it turned into a plant state..."

There was a look of pain on Senior's face. The doctor sighed and said slowly, "Yes, she has lost consciousness. Unfortunately, if this continues, she may..."

Senor's body trembled and he grabbed the wall on the side to prevent himself from fainting.
