From Karma Taj to Hogwarts

Chapter 7 Common Room

After a satisfying meal, the new Slytherin snakes were led by their prefects to the common room.

The two prefects of the fifth grade, Ignatius Prewett and Cedrella Black, motioned for the little wizards to follow. They walked out of the auditorium door and entered a door on the side of the entrance hall. There was no view inside. The bottomed spiral staircase extends downward, and Slytherin's common room is at the bottom.

Walking on the stairs, Ignatius reminded: "I hope you can all remember this road. In comparison, our Slytherin location is easy to remember. Just keep walking down."

Cedrella said arrogantly: "If you can't remember the way, drop out of school as soon as possible. If you stay, you will lose Slytherin's face."

Even in Slytherin Academy, most of the young wizards did not have the family confidence of Sivan and Abu, so they were so frightened that they memorized the route they walked with trepidation.

After walking for almost five minutes, the surroundings became darker and darker, with only a few torches emitting green light. Xiwen felt that they had probably gone deep into the bottom of the lake.

Finally, they stopped in front of a stone wall. Ignatius said to the stone wall: "Born noble."

Several gaps opened in the stone wall, and a stone door appeared on the wall.

"This is our common room," Ignatius said. "Remember this wall and our password. The fool who can't remember will just wait for his classmates to go in at the top of the stairs, but I hope this doesn't happen!"

Cedrella impatiently walked into the lounge first, beckoning the girls to follow her, and walked towards the side door next to the lounge.

After saying good night to Elsiona, Xiven followed a group of boys and Ignatius to visit the lounge.

Slytherin's common room is like a long, narrow dungeon, with round green lights hanging from the ceiling on chains. There are carved chairs here for students to rest, and some skulls as decorations.

Part of the dungeon extends to the bottom of the lake, giving the room a green tint. The walls and ceiling were made of rough stone, and a fire burned beneath an intricately carved mantel.

Perhaps because it was built at the bottom of the lake, the common room felt a bit cold and damp.

Ignatius kindly took the new students around the lounge and gave them a general introduction.

He pointed to the window on the wall of the lounge and said to the freshmen, "Outside the window is the water of the Black Lake. There are many magical animals living in the Black Lake. They generally do not leave their own territory and we usually cannot see them. But if If you're lucky, you might be able to see a big octopus passing by from a distance."

Hearing this, Abu became interested: "If you find the right location, you can see our common room by jumping directly from the lake."

"I advise you not to have such thoughts. The creatures in the Black Lake are not vegetarians." Ignatius said, and then he suddenly lowered his voice. "I heard that the mermaids in the lake eat people."

Abu was startled by his deep voice, and instantly lost interest in diving.

Hearing the word mermaid, Xiwen suddenly asked: "Are there merpeople in the lake? Are there mermaids?"

Ignatius didn't understand the question at all, so he replied doubtfully: "If there are male mermen, there will naturally be female mermaids. How else would they reproduce?"

Xiwen said: "That's not what I mean. I mean mermaid! The kind of mermaid with long hair and a good figure."

Ignatius said sadly: "No matter what the mermaids are like elsewhere, the mermaids in the Black Lake of Hogwarts are not beautiful at all. They have iron-gray skin, disheveled hair, and incomplete Teeth. If you are interested, just wait in the common room. Sooner or later you will see them..."

After imagining what the mermaid looked like, Xiven swallowed.

"Forget it, why don't we talk about something else..."

Seeing that the little wizards were not very excited, Ignatius took them to the dormitory considerately, "You must be tired after running around all day, go to bed early!"

After bypassing several long fish tanks on the ceiling, the boys came to a door decorated with emerald gems. Through the green gems, they could see the four beds inside.

After bidding farewell to their prefects, they each walked to their beds, with all their luggage already placed beside their respective cabinets.

Due to the tense situation in the wizarding world, there are very few freshmen in this class. Among the freshmen in Slytherin, there are only four boys. They are divided into one dormitory.

In addition to Sivan and Abraxas, there were two boys.

"Roommates, please take care of me in the future. I am Mobley Warley." A boy with blond hair introduced himself while sitting on the bed.

"Worey?" Abraxas raised his head and glanced at him. "Is it the Woley family I know?"

Mobley nodded proudly: "I am the heir of the Warley family. I know you, you are from the Malfoy family."

"Abraxas Malfoy." Abu shook hands with Mobley who stood up and walked towards him.

The Warley family of Mobley Warley is also a well-known pure-blood family in the British magic world. Although it is not among the twenty-eight holy families, it maintains good relations with many pure-blood families. After introducing himself, his identity was recognized by Abraxas.

Then Mobley looked at Sivan who was taking something out of his pocket watch and another brown-haired boy who was packing his luggage silently.

"Sivan Rozier." Sivan said his name.

Mobley said: "Are you from the Rozier family? Nice to meet you!"

After Sivan and Mobley shook hands, the three of them looked at the remaining brown-haired boy.

He was different from the three neatly dressed Xiwens. His clothes had many wrinkles and looked a bit shabby. The thin cheeks looked like they were malnourished.

The boy was silent for a while and whispered: "My name is Gomez Gris."

Abraxas thought for a moment: "I don't seem to have heard of the Gris family."

Mobley nodded and said, "Me too."

Seeing Mobley looking at him, Xiwen shook his head and said, "If even Abu doesn't know, then I don't know either."

Gomez's face became increasingly ugly, and he said seriously: "I am a mixed-race, and my father is a Muggle."

Abraxas and Mobley immediately lost interest and continued to go about their own business.

Seeing that Gomez was in a low mood, Xiwen comforted him: "Don't pay too much attention, Gris. We will be roommates from now on, so please take more care of him."

After all, they still experienced a day of running around. After just packing up their things, they felt sleepy and had no interest in chatting.

And Gomez Gris hurriedly lay down on the bed, unwilling to communicate any more, and didn't even have time to pack his luggage.

Xiwen and the other two didn't say anything else. They made the beds and fell asleep...
