Chapter 36: Group Confinement

"It's about those intruders in the school!"

After Dumbledore said this, Barebone suddenly raised his head.

"You know everything?" he asked.

"I'm not really stupid." Dumbledore chuckled, "You fought with them in the library, right?"

Barebone was silent for a moment, then took out a crystal pendant from the drawer and pushed it in front of Dumbledore.

"Horcrux..." Dumbledore frowned and looked at the pendant and said, "So you got rid of him?"

"That's right." Barebone nodded.

Dumbledore's face instantly turned ugly. He stared at Baribone, seemingly in disbelief.

After a long time, Baribone smiled and said, "I did deal with him. This is my duty as a professor. But he brought this pendant."

Dumbledore immediately relaxed and said with a slightly reproachful tone: "Don't speak out of breath!"

"I thought you were used to things like Horcruxes." Barebone spread his hands.

"You are still biased against me." Dumbledore said helplessly, "Every Horcrux was once a living soul. Am I that cruel?"

Barebone tapped his fingers on the table and said nothing.

"Then why did he go to the library then? The person you killed." Dumbledore asked.

"Maybe he was waiting for something to happen. He had been staying next to the bookshelf of the book "Ancient Runes Detailed Explanation" at that time." Barebone said casually.

Dumbledore looked astonished and said with a smile: "So, did any little wizard look for that book that night?"

"As far as I know, no." Baribone replied, shaking his head.

"It seems that he didn't wait for the rabbit, but instead waited for you, the hunter." Dumbledore joked.

Barebone looked as usual.

"Well, this is a good thing." Dumbledore took a sip of black tea and asked casually, "Then why didn't you tell me?"

"I think after everything is sorted out," Baribone said, "I see more than one person in his memory."

Dumbledore looked at the pendant on the table and said, "Indeed, this Horcrux obviously only contains material laws... There is also a spiritual law that can make people fall into dreams that has not been found."

Barebone nodded, agreeing with him.

"Have you made arrangements for the confinement of those children?" Dumbledore asked, changing the subject.

"Just this week." Barebone looked at him doubtfully, "What other plans do you have?"

"I want you to put them into groups and arrange confinement," Dumbledore said with a smile, "this way we can better detect doubts."

"You mean, the owner of the ring is between them?" Barrybone said with a twitching brow.

"I never said that." Dumbledore took a sip of black tea. "Until the target is completely locked in, everyone is suspicious. It's better to be cautious."

He put down the tea cup, his blue eyes sparkling, and continued in an unpredictable tone: "Because the flaw in the ancient magic script may have been left to us intentionally by him, and even the codename 'Owl' may have been."

Baribone pondered this sentence carefully, then nodded slowly for a long time and asked, "Then how should we divide it?"

"Mr. Curry and Miss Burstead. Brothers Weasley and Mr. Flint." Dumbledore said easily. "Even if they are not, it can help them resolve their grievances with each other."

"Okay, you are the principal, you have the final say. But it may be a little difficult to resolve grudges." Baribone said with a smile, "I don't think they are broad-minded people."

"Hahaha! We really can't expect Gryffindor and Slytherin to get along well!" Dumbledore said with a smile, "What about Mr. Curry? He is Hufflepuff."

"Him? I think the Sorting Hat may have made a mistake." Barebone curled his lips, "Mr. Curry should go to Gryffindor."

"How do you say that?" Dumbledore was curious.

"All his homework is...reference! Yes, reference to Miss Rosier's." Barrybone frowned and used a sophisticated word and said, "He never seems to complete his homework by himself."

"It seems that Miss Rosier has a very good relationship with him~" Dumbledore smiled knowingly, "Her aunt just wrote to me a few days ago asking me how she is doing."

"You can break the news to Ms. Rozier." Barebone shrugged.

"Forget it, they are just children. It doesn't matter if we talk about it later." Dumbledore winked teasingly, "Anything else? Do you think Mr. Curry should be assigned to Gryffindor?"

"He came to me today and asked for the approval slip for the restricted book area. The reason was to find some historical information about dark creatures."

Baribone said amusingly, "But obviously, he not only looked up information, but also looked through other things. For example, Animagus, Occlumency and so on."

"Oh! These things are indeed very attractive to young wizards, but Animagus is very dangerous. You can remind him if you take the time." Dumbledore didn't seem to take it seriously and just gave the instructions casually.

Then, he took out his pocket watch, looked at the time, and said, "It's already very late. Let's stop here today. By the way, there's one more thing. I have to go out in the next few days. Professor McGonagall will handle the school affairs. The rest is up to you.”

"Okay." Baribone agreed directly without asking what happened that required him to go out in person.

Dumbledore walked all the way to the door, then suddenly turned back, winked at Barebone, and said, "Also, tell Mr. Curry that Occlumency is also dangerous. You must be careful when learning."

Baribone nodded calmly and said, "I will."

Then there was the sound of the door closing, and Dumbledore left the place completely.

Baribone stared at the crystal pendant on the table, lost in thought.

...

...

late at night.

Hufflepuff common room.

At this time, all the little wizards had gone to bed to rest, and the whole room was peaceful.

Only the honeymoon grass in the room was still swaying gently, bathed in the bright moonlight.

At this time, above the fireplace, the eyes of the Hufflepuff portrait suddenly moved.

Then, she lowered her left hand that raised the golden cup.

She opened her mouth and rubbed her face with her hands.

It seemed that her long-lasting smile made her face stiff and she had to move.

Then, she glanced around the common room and muttered something.

At this time, the tip of the wand in her right hand began to emit a faint blue light.

This light, with an aura of peace and tranquility, instantly extended to the dormitory area.

Look in that direction, it's Arthur's dormitory!

In the portrait, Hufflepuff showed a proud smile and said in a tone that was almost inaudible: "Although I can't jump down and teach you a lesson, I can give you a nightmare! Enjoy it!"
