Chapter 45 Dumbledore's Decision

The surface of the Black Lake glowed golden in the sun, and a mermaid sat comfortably on the shore. The morning wind gently ruffled his dark green hair.

He sang an unknown song while quickly threading the pebbles with a thick rope.

Mermaids are good at music, and their songs can soothe people's hearts and help dispel worries and anxieties.

Just pay for some nice looking rocks.

After the song ended, Dumbledore put down his pen and greeted the mermaid singer outside the window.

"Music," he rubbed his eyes with a worn handkerchief, "is more charming than anything else in the world."

The mermaid jumped into the water, flicked his iron-gray tail, and quickly lost track of him.

Dumbledore hummed the song in a low voice and re-corrected the pile of parchment on the table - it was the young wizard's Defense Against the Dark Arts homework.

Even wizards, no one wants to do homework!

What's more, Hogwarts homework is quite difficult. Young wizards usually need to read more than ten tomes to complete the thesis.

Obviously it would be impossible to read every book without the aid of computer search and retrieval.

When encountering some unpopular knowledge, their records are often extremely sparse. The contents of the ten books are all similar, so duplication must be avoided.

How to get enough twelve inches of parchment becomes a challenge for every little wizard.

The crude method of writing words in big letters is difficult to get approval from professors. If you are not careful, you will be sent back to rewrite.

So the little wizard usually adds gorgeous rhetoric and sentences that don't make sense in their articles.

At this point, it’s hard to tell whether it’s a paper written by a little wizard or a nonsense article generator.

Take, for example, the first-year paper "How to Identify a Cornwall Elf."

"In life, if the Cornwall Elf appears, we have to consider the fact that it appears. To sum up, I think that for me personally, the Cornish Elf means more to me than anything else. Not to mention it’s very significant.”

This is the most commonly used sentence in Gryffindor. Listening to your words is like listening to your words.

Slytherins, on the other hand, prefer to mix in famous quotes that they have no idea where they came from, which seems to show their profound family knowledge.

"If the little elf in Cornwall appears, I believe it will have a certain meaning to the world. Seneca said this inadvertently, courage leads to heaven, cowardice leads to hell. I hope you can understand this sentence well. talk."

Dumbledore painfully took off his glasses, rubbed his brow with one hand, and let out a long breath.

Perhaps due to his age and busy schedule, he was a little less capable than when he was young and taught the Transfiguration class.

Professor Flitwick recommended listening to mermaids sing as a way to relieve stress, but it seems to have no effect now.

Dumbledore pushed the paper aside, took out his wand and tapped the tip of his pen. The bronze pen buzzed to the pile of parchment, flipping it up and down, checking one by one for plagiarism from similar papers.

Dumbledore relaxed comfortably, stroked his long beard, and began to think about the treatment of professors at Hogwarts.

A professor is responsible for the teaching tasks of more than 500 young wizards in the school, which includes attending classes, assigning homework, and publishing papers...

Just thinking about it makes me collapse!

Add some teaching assistants?More salary and subsidies for professors?Or like Potions, appoint two professors?

Dumbledore secretly made up his mind: no matter what others did, he must find an assistant.

"I can help you, Albus."

A tall figure appeared at the door, and he threw a stack of books on the table.

"Seriously, you should have recruited some ghosts like Ms. Ravenclaw as professors a long time ago. They are really perfect, have enough knowledge, and don't need to rest..."

"Thank you for your suggestion, Gellert. I will consider it. Let's talk about business now." Dumbledore picked up one of the books and interrupted his tirade.

Grindelwald casually took out a paper and said, "Elrios, by chance, did you teach him that spell?"

Dumbledore stopped what he was doing, with an inexplicable meaning in his blue eyes.

Grindelwald knew the answer from his reaction. He naturally understood Albus's concerns, so he changed the topic tacitly.

He sat on the sofa, tapping the armrest with one hand, and said with a hint of interest, "He took the Ravenclaw diadem away."

"As expected." Dumbledore didn't even look up and looked at the book with the Hufflepuff emblem printed on the black cover again.

"He will only choose precious and meaningful things as Horcruxes, such as the Slytherin Locket, the Ravenclaw Diadem, the Resurrection Stone and his diary."

"His diary." Grindelwald laughed softly, "I'm so proud. Do you think you are the same as them?"

"Gryffindor only has two relics left, the Sorting Hat and the Sword of Gryffindor, and they are both here. And Hufflepuff has many relics."

Dumbledore sighed again, "Her most famous relic is a set of kitchen utensils, part of which is left in Hogwarts, and part of which is still circulating in the wizarding world."

"The good news is we don't need to visit from house to house," Grindelwald handed over a piece of parchment.

"Hepzibah Smith, one of the descendants of Hufflepuff, it was she who bought the Slytherin Locket from Caractacus Bork."

Dumbledore took the parchment, with a gorgeous gold cup drawn on it, "The Smith family inherited a magical gold cup, but it disappeared after her death. Therefore, the Ministry of Magic detained her nephew in an attempt to inquire about the outcome. Its whereabouts.”

The two looked at each other and concluded, "It is one of the Horcruxes."

"Voldemort will give the Horcrux to his trusted subordinates, such as Lucius. The Death Eaters are likely to find its whereabouts." Dumbledore closed the book, his face a little solemn.

"Many people are suspected, including your Death Eater professor," Grindelwald said casually, "but the most likely ones are Lestrange and Avery."

Dumbledore ignored his nonsense, put on his glasses again, waved his wand, and the Lestrange family tree floated quietly in the air.

A black raven stared at them from mid-air.
