Science students at Hogwarts
Chapter 21 Basilisk
In his sleep, Elios felt a soft place brush against his face.
He opened his eyes and found an eyepatch with a cute smile on it.
He grabbed his blindfold and asked Draco, who was tying his tie.
"Pansy gave it to me. When we go to the school doctor's office together, Madam Pomfrey finally allows us to visit." Draco returned somewhat casually without raising his head.
"She asked Madam Pomfrey that it would take a week for Hermione's eyes to fully recover and that she would need to wear an eyepatch during this time."
Elios understood the intention of this sensitive little girl, and he remembered the broken glasses.
"She doesn't have to blame herself. In my opinion, it was Pansy who accidentally saved Hermione."
"You already know what it is?" Draco was a little angry, "Damn it, how many deaths does he have to kill before he gives up? Could it be that the tragedy of 50 years ago is about to happen again..."
"Draco!" Elios regretted getting him involved in these things.
He believed too much in the original story and blindly believed that Draco was an excellent helper, but neglected that he was just a child now.
This can’t be too harsh on Elios.
After all, he was just a high school student before traveling through time. It was normal for him to panic when he came to this magical world where the plot changed drastically and was full of dangers.
Perhaps because the regret on Elios's face was too obvious, Draco calmed down again.
"Elrios, you can't hide this from me. From the moment I learned about my uncle's death, I was determined to take revenge, even if the target was that person!"
Elios took a deep breath, calmed himself down, and comforted softly.
"Things are not as bad as imagined. We will all be fine. I do have some guesses about the monster and why it is on the eighth floor. However, let's go find Hermione to verify it."
When they arrived at the school doctor's office, Dumbledore was walking through. He seemed to be in a good mood.
"Good morning, Elios and Draco," the gray-bearded old man looked at them through his glasses with a smile.
"You're here to visit Hermione too, right? She looks much better already. I guess she has something important to tell you."
Seeing his confident look, Elios guessed that the current situation was still under the control of the white wizard, and the next step was to gain reputation for the savior.
Elios had no intention of being in the limelight, but the corpse of the thousand-year-old basilisk was an excellent potion ingredient.
After working hard for a long time, it’s okay to study something, right?
With the corpse of the basilisk, the current research may not be able to take a big step forward.
It just so happened that I had a piece of news here, which was enough to make the White Wizard's heart flutter.
"Okay, Professor Dumbledore. But do you have time? I have some questions to ask you."
Dumbledore readily agreed, and the two foxes, one large and one small, looked at each other with satisfied smiles.
Almost all the first-year wizards are here, and they have filled the school doctor's office, each wearing a cute eyepatch.
However, Elios glanced around and didn't see Pansy.
Although Hermione looked pale, she was in good spirits.
Just as Madam Pomfrey said, all the terrible scars on her face were gone and her teeth were straight.
The little girl didn't like to smile with her lips pursed like before. When she saw everyone gathered in the school doctor's office, she smiled openly and confidently.
"Hermione, you are finally getting better! We were all worried about you! Huh? Your teeth have also become smaller!" Ernie shouted happily.
Elios couldn't help but cover his face with his hands.
Ernie, you have to be the straight man!
He really didn't understand how a family like MacMillan could teach such a stupid person.
Padma nudged Ernie with her arm to shut up.
Ernie looked a little confused. He opened his mouth to say something, but Elios quickly pulled him out of the crowd.
Hermione was also very happy to see these friends again, and she greeted everyone one by one.
After scanning the entire crowd, she frowned and asked, "Isn't Pansy here?"
"She said she had something to do and would come over later." Padma replied.
"Okay." Hermione looked a little down, obviously because she didn't see her good friend.
However, Hermione became serious when Justin asked her if she saw the monster that attacked her.
"After dinner that night, I planned to go to the Room of Requirement to read a book. I unexpectedly found Professor Quirrell standing on a huge emerald green snake, which was a full fifty feet tall..."
"Are you following him secretly?" the little wizard exclaimed repeatedly, and everyone looked at her nervously.
Padma's face showed disapproval, and she criticized mercilessly, "Hermione, you are too reckless. Quirrell is the one who attacked us. You should go find..."
"Padma," Elios interrupted her, "Hermione didn't know the situation at the time. Professor Quirrell hadn't revealed his true nature yet. He was just a professor."
"But Hermione, you are indeed too risky. It is wrong for a professor to appear in school with a snake. Hogwarts is not safe. I hope we will be more cautious in the future..."
Elios made several suggestions, and the little wizards solemnly agreed to him.
Hermione also looked a little embarrassed. After reflecting on herself in a low voice, she continued to talk about what happened at that time.
"I saw Quirrell walking into the Room of Requirement, and the huge snake was waiting for him outside. I tried to walk in a little further, and it spotted me, and then I fainted..."
Sure enough, Elios's heart sank, and the worst outcome occurred.
Socket went to the Room of Requirement to find his Horcrux!
This may be the butterfly effect, Elios leaked the Horcrux to Dumbledore early.
After the socket knew that the Resurrection Stone had been taken away, he was so anxious that he awakened the Basilisk and killed Lu Wei directly to take away the Magic Stone and his Horcrux.
"Have you seen what that snake specifically looks like?" Justin's eager inquiry brought back Elios' wandering thoughts.
"It is emerald green in color, with two fangs that look like long and thin swords, big round yellow eyes, and a long blood-red hair on its head!"
After getting the news, the little wizards couldn't wait to rush to the library to find out what the snake was.
Elios persuaded them to stay.
"Durmstrang's students are still there, and maybe they will control the snake to attack us," he said, "and the actions of the fifty-foot snake will definitely not be hidden from everyone."
His eyes inadvertently stayed on Harry for a while, "Did any of you hear any strange noises? Or heard someone talking and controlling the snake."
Unexpectedly, everyone shook their heads, and Harry also had a confused look on his face.
Elios looked at him carefully and felt that his expression did not seem to be fake.
This is strange!Could it be that the basilisk hasn't moved in the past few days?
Elios put the doubt behind him and reiterated the safety issue seriously.
Even though he knew that the white wizard was secretly protecting everyone, he still planned to give everyone a pair of glasses after someone found the basilisk.
After all the little wizards left the school doctor's office, Elios left. He called Pansy out to the end of the corridor.
Pansy stepped out of the shadows, looking very lost.
"I hurt Hermione. If I hadn't given her those fire-breathing glasses, she wouldn't have been burned..."
"Not necessarily, maybe you saved her accidentally." Elios smiled and repeated what he said in the morning.
Pansy raised her head suddenly, and she asked Elios urgently if this was true?
"I think you'll find out this afternoon. But whether this is true or not, I promise you have always been Hermione's friend. She really wants to see you, why don't you go in and see her?"
Elios winked at her.
Pansy was obviously hesitant, but after thinking about it, she walked into the school doctor's office firmly.
He opened his eyes and found an eyepatch with a cute smile on it.
