Science students at Hogwarts

Chapter 13 The Society of Truth

"That means you were kicked out by Mrs. Pince for eating in the library and you are strictly prohibited from entering the library within a week?" Elios looked at the little wizards in front of him with a headache.

A little badger avoided his gaze with some guilt, and he was obviously the culprit.

"Don't blame Hopkins, Mrs. Pince is targeting us deliberately! She keeps staring at us, waiting for us to make mistakes and kick us out!" Pansy said angrily, "I want to tell my dad!"

"It's my fault," the round-faced boy said frustratedly, "I shouldn't have brought food to the library. I just thought everyone needed something to eat while listening to the story."

"Listening to stories? So you are telling stories and eating in the library?" Elios's head hurt even more.

This time it was Justin's turn to feel embarrassed, and he apologized profusely, but it was a done deal and everyone was frustrated.

Hermione scratched the black pudding on the plate with her fork anxiously, "If you don't go to the library for a week?! I will definitely miss a lot of classes, and I haven't finished reading those textbooks..."

"I don't want to go back to the Slytherin common room and listen to those arrogant guys bragging. You know, even few people in Slytherin like them. Speaking of which, where is Draco?"

"Merlin's beard! Why don't you let me into the library?" Draco's voice came from far away.

"He said he was going to the library to borrow a book and asked me to help him bring lunch back to the dormitory. Now it seems that I don't have to bring him food." Elios sighed, "Obviously, we have also been taken by Mrs. Pince. Forbidden.”

Draco on the side already understood what happened, and his face was full of disbelief, "Just because of this? I want to tell my dad!"

Hopkins' head lowered, and Justin planned to apologize again, "It's all me..."

"Let's eat first," Elios stopped him, "I know a place that is suitable for us. Let's go there together after class in the afternoon."

"What class is there in the afternoon?" Pansy asked, "I only remember that it was with all the first graders."

"Professor Lockhart's practical lessons." Hermione's eyes sparkled, "I found all of his works in the library. His experiences are so legendary. He is a..."

"Not just us," Justin interrupted Hermione with a groan as he quickly flipped through the timetable, "but also the Durmstrang students."

"They are at least two grades older than us. Why do they have to attend classes with us? To see our jokes?" Pansy's eyes widened in disbelief. She put down her fork and cursed the exchange students viciously.

"What exactly are the practical lessons going to teach us? We still don't have textbooks." Kevin also became a little uneasy.

"Merlin's beard! He won't let us fight with those people," Hopkins nuzzled at Durmstrang's students, "will he?"

The little wizards looked at the tall and strong students, then at themselves, and shivered involuntarily.

"Hogwarts is a school, and it will not put us in such a dangerous situation." Hermione retorted, but she seemed a little unsure.

In the afternoon, the little wizards came to the auditorium with heavy thoughts.

The long dining table disappeared, and a gilded stage appeared along one wall, lit by hundreds of candles floating above.

Lockhart, wearing a purple robe, jumped onto the stage. He first greeted everyone and then began to lecture.

To be fair, Lockhart's eloquence is quite good, otherwise he would not have become a popular writer.

Under his explanation, the young wizards learned about Durmstrang's long history of practical lessons, came to the International Wizarding Duel Competition, and saw his thrilling experience...

This wave of private goods is really good. Many young wizards have decided to buy a few Lockhart's books. Their little faces are flushed, looking at him excitedly, urging him to start the actual battle quickly.

But Elios found that the exchange students were not so excited. They were all lazy and showed a bit of disdain for Lockhart.

Elios felt happy. No wonder Lockhart didn't show them something hard. It turned out that Lockhart had already lost face in Durmstrang.

"Come on, little guys, let's experience a duel! Andre, come here!"

Lockhart selected several Durmstrang students and paired them up. The first to appear was the fifth-year boy named Andre and his partner.

They turned to face each other, bowed, and then each raised their wands to their chests like swords.

"As you can see, this is the wizard's duel etiquette. When I count to three, they will release the first spell. Of course, this will not be life-threatening."

"one two three!"

The two students reacted quickly. They immediately cast an armor spell on themselves, then one cast a petrifying spell and the other cast a disarming spell. They moved quickly to avoid each other's spells.

"Wonderful operation! Have you seen it? When facing the enemy, you should cast the Iron Armor Curse on yourself as soon as possible..." Lockhart jumped up and down on the side.

"He's really noisy." Pansy dismissed Lockhart's comments. She had never had a good impression of Durmstrang.

The duel between the two students also became more and more fierce. Crushing spells, sleeping spells, and obstacle spells flew all over the sky, and the auditorium was filled with rubble.

Obviously, the first-year wizards had never seen such a scene before, and they exclaimed repeatedly.

Suddenly, they stopped in unison, looked at each other, put away their wands and started beating each other.

Lockhart cried out in horror, "Stop! Stop!"

This turn of events stunned the little wizards, and then they became even more excited. They shouted loudly, making the scene even more chaotic.

"It's so barbaric. Do they still remember that they are a wizard?" Pansy turned her head away in disgust.

Lockhart finally stopped them, and then asked several other exchange students to demonstrate.

It can be clearly seen that the overall actual combat ability of several Durmstrang exchange students is indeed much higher than that of Hogwarts, whether it is their mastery of magic spells or their combat awareness.

As for throwing down their wands and fighting each other, and making sneak attacks from time to time, this is probably their habit. Durmstrang is indeed a tough folk.

"Okay, little guys, the demonstration is over. Now I will divide you into groups of two..."

The duel between the first grade wizards was very boring. They didn't know much about magic spells at all, and the dueling targets were their own classmates.

Soon, one of the most popular magic spells in Hogwarts - the Fun Charm - was widely used in duels, and the little wizards giggled as if it was a happy game.

Andre leaned against the wall with his arms folded, "Professor, this is a complete farce. I think the students at Hogwarts still don't understand the meaning of practical classes."

Many people glared at him, with a malicious glint in his eyes.

"I propose that the professor and I have a duel so that they can understand the meaning of practical lessons and what a real duel is."

Lockhart's face looked a little ugly, and he stammered, "Andre, my strength is much higher than yours, and I can't possibly duel with you. I'm afraid you'll get hurt."

Andre seemed to have expected that he would say this, "Then, I request that we have a duel with the little wizard of Hogwarts!"

The little wizards were in an uproar, "This is not fair!" Anthony Goldstein shouted loudly, "You are at least two grades above us!"

"The three of you can come together." Andre saw Krum planning to step forward, and he immediately stopped him, "Krum, it's unfair for you to duel with them."

He gently pushed the boy behind him, "Maren is only 12 years old. I know there are 12-year-old first-year students in Hogwarts. It is fair for us to let him come."

He stared at the Elios brothers, not hiding the malice on his face, "I heard that the youngest recipient of the Order of Merlin is coming to Hogwarts this year. How about letting them come?"

"That's right, let them come, pure-blooded traitors!" Another tall student beside him agreed.

Andre immediately glared at him, and he quickly shut up and looked at Andre with some fear.

Ron smirked and the Hogwarts students glared at him.

"No need for Draco, I can do it alone." Elios stepped forward.

Draco grabbed him, "I'm the brother!" He refused to give in at all, "Believe me, I have this." He pointed to the necklace, which was the protective necklace Lucius gave them.

If it were just a matter of magic spells, Elios would be very confident in both of them, but Durmstrang's students always liked to engage in sneak attacks and fights.

He looked at Malen. With his figure, it was hard to believe that he was only 12 years old. He couldn't help but feel nervous for Draco.

Elios warned him in a low voice to be careful of sneak attacks, and then handed him a bottle under the cover of his wide sleeves.

Draco looked at him in confusion, and he mouthed three words, which Draco immediately understood.

Sure enough, before Lockhart could count to three, Malen issued a crushing curse. Draco quickly dodged and counterattacked a "barrier", and then he threw the bottle, and white liquid came out of the broken bottle. Thick smoke.

Malen was unprepared. He inhaled a large puff of smoke and fell to the ground. Draco disarmed his wand with a disarming spell.

The young wizards at Hogwarts immediately burst into loud cheers, and Durmstrang's exchange students froze in place, looking at Maren, who had just woken up.

Andre stared at him, "This is impossible, what did you use?"

"A sleeping potion made of wormwood and bezoar, sir. As you said, I am the youngest recipient of the Order of Merlin." Draco said slowly.

He ignored Mullen, who was still yelling about unfairness, and turned around and walked off the stage.

At this time, a sudden change occurred.

Malen jumped up and punched Draco. Draco fell to the ground in pain. He closed his eyes tightly, his face turned pale, and the crowd screamed.

Elios was frightened by this sudden turn of events and didn't even think about Draco's protective necklace. He stumbled through the crowd and ran to Draco's side.

Who knew that Draco secretly opened one eye, smiled at him, and immediately put on his dying look again.

Elios was angry and funny, and he asked Pansy and the others to send Draco to Madam Pomfrey.

Then he turned to Mullen and said solemnly, "Don't you want a fair duel? Then as you wish."

The duel that followed was still talked about by the young wizards at Hogwarts even after many years.

After saluting each other, Elios immediately added an iron armor spell to himself. He easily dodged the petrification spell issued by Malen, and then quickly issued three freezing spells to block the opponent.

Mullen was a little confused. He jumped to avoid the first two spells and blocked the third one with the Iron Armor Curse.

Elios would not give him a chance to breathe. He lightly lit the candles flying in the air, and they turned into long snakes and flew towards Maren.

Mullen used a "Flock of Birds" quite embarrassedly, and countless long snakes and birds fought together.

Elios flicked his wand, causing more candles to join the fray, this time becoming lions, eagles, and badgers.

Seeing that Mullen's situation was getting worse and worse, Elios decided to end the battle quickly.

He waved his wand to "collapse the house," causing the unsuspecting Mullen to fall into the hole, and then fired a disarming spell to end the duel.

Elios finally waved his wand, causing the symbolic animals of the four colleges to surround a big "H", which was the school emblem of Hogwarts.

He then nodded to Mullen and left the stage.

The auditorium was quiet for a moment, and the little wizards rushed over and threw Elios high into the air.

Very few first-year students knew how exquisite and advanced the transformation techniques and spells Elios used in this duel. They only knew that Elios had defeated Durmstrang's third-year student in an upright manner.

Hermione and a few knowledgeable students loudly shouted out the spells that Elios had used, and while talking, they looked proudly at the livid exchange students.

Although the little wizard couldn't quite understand, they still exclaimed in unison, and they loudly praised Elios as our hero.

This caused Pansy and others who had just returned to express their pity. Lockhart also repeated how exquisite Elios's skills were and that he would be able to crack it skillfully, but no one paid attention to him for the time being.

Elios walked up to Andre. He stared into Andre's eyes, "My brother was seriously injured. I hope you and your followers can bear the wrath of Malfoy and Black."

After dinner, they went to visit Draco, and the little wizards couldn't help but shed tears when they saw him dying. At Madam Pomfrey's urging, she reluctantly left.

Afterwards, they were led by Elios to the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor of Hogwarts.

Hermione looked at the tall bookshelf in surprise, and she opened a spell book at random, "Oh my God, this is the one I've always wanted to borrow but never received!"

Pansy and others focused their attention on the tall alchemy equipment. Kevin took a closer look and found that they were used to practice magic spells.

"I want to practice my spells well and then avenge Draco!" Several people immediately echoed him, and gradually the voice became stronger.

"Listen to me, we must form an organization," Hermione closed the book and said seriously, "Only by uniting can we fight them!"

Everyone nodded in conviction.

"First, what are we doing?" a voice asked timidly, it was Hannah.

"We need a leader!" Hermione said.

Everyone looked at Elios.

Elios was dumbfounded by the development of the matter. He was also thinking about how to get as much money from Andre as possible. Unexpectedly, the little wizard was already thinking about revenge for Draco.

He thought, "I propose Draco."

The little wizards were obviously disappointed, and Hermione reluctantly asked why it wasn't him.

Elios shrugged, "I'm very strict. I only recruit people who have read those textbooks."

When the little wizards thought about those textbooks, some of their scalps went numb and they all changed the topic, while Hermione and the others were overjoyed.

After a vote, Draco officially became the leader, and Elios took on the deputy position.

Elios thought: Now he can finally help Draco complete his uncle's mission.

"We also need a name, which will help strengthen our unity." Hermione said clearly.

"I think it should be called the Society of Truth."
