Chapter 24 Back to School

1

The flames danced in the fireplace and the wood crackled.

Finished this lazy holiday at home.

During this period, we had a snowball fight, built a snowman, recited the test questions (what, went to a Muggle square, and watched Muggle movies).

Uncle Cass also secretly gained two pounds.

Beautiful days are always short, it feels like just a nap, and the holidays sneak away.

Get on the train and go back to school.

The twins got in the car and went to play with their friends. "Show him our new invention." Fred winked at us. Well, it looks like that friend is in for some bad luck.

Baimon and I were sitting in the train together, just like we were at the beginning of school. Baimon looked at his history of magic and fed me from time to time.

I don’t know why I suddenly felt chest tightness and shortness of breath, and my whole body felt weak. The soft and delicious pot bread on the train couldn’t arouse my appetite.

After I refused the licorice wand that Baimon handed me for the third time, he finally realized something was wrong, turned around and asked me: ...What's wrong with you, Hodder? He waved the wand in his hand, "You would never refuse a licorice wand before!" "

I said sadly: "Maybe I have a bad stomach."

I was a little uneasy and shaking slightly.

Baimen hesitated for a long time: "Are you not feeling well?" He stretched out his arms and hugged me, "Don't worry. I'm always here." His arms were really warm.

I didn't know why I suddenly shed tears and said incoherently: "I feel like something is going to happen. I'm scared." Baimon patted my back soothingly and repeated again: "I'm always here."

After a while I finally stopped crying. The tears wet a small piece of Baimeng's school uniform. I muttered: "Okay, let me go. You're going to suffocate me." Baimeng wiped my tears and combed my messy hair.

I can't relax. I felt like there was something weird, something I couldn't explain wrapping around me. It was sticky and thick, coming towards me from all directions, so heavy that I could hardly breathe. Just like when I fell into the black lake, I couldn't step on the ground, and there was nothingness around me, but death was waiting at the end.

Baimon combed my hair and the train arrived at the end.

The moment I stepped on the ground, I suddenly felt extremely calm: How could the result be any worse? Come on horseback.

A light snow fell on the ground.

The Christmas atmosphere has not passed yet, and some people are still exchanging gifts. Maybe they want the feeling of exchanging gifts with their own hands. Baimon came over and carefully nailed the cufflinks he picked for me to my sleeves. The cufflinks are engraved with my family's emblem - a snake holding a platycodon flower in its mouth. It also has my name engraved on the back.

He tilted his head towards me and stretched out his ears: "Have you prepared earrings for me?" His pointed ears were soft and had been pierced three or four times, and were now slightly chilled by the cold wind. I took out an earring set with a large emerald stone and a hollow star and put it on his ear. Whenever Baimon spoke, the thin silver chain on his ear would dangle, along with the stars.

Finally, he seriously took out a black velvet box: "We will always be good friends. We will always be together." He opened the box, and inside were two black metal bracelets. I found his handwriting on the bracelet, engraved with my name and a small line of words: I will always be here. His one was completely black, with nothing on it.

Fireworks exploded in the sky above Hogwarts, and Beamon and I spent our first Christmas at Hogwarts.
