Hogwarts is unreliable

Chapter 4 Rich Muggles do whatever they want

On an ordinary street, Lin An's family got out of the car.

"This is it," Professor Snape said. "The Leaky Cauldron."

Father Lin and Mother Lin looked around: "But there is no wine here."

In front of Father Lin and Mother Lin, between a large bookstore and a record store, a dirty, narrow bar suddenly popped up, like a weed growing out of a crack in the stone, which was amazing.

"Is this magic? It's really magical." Mother Lin clasped her hands together and marveled.

Hei An squatted firmly on Lin An's shoulders and assured with his thoughts: "Don't worry, no matter whether the host uses telepathy or other skills, no wizard will notice them. They use fairy tale magic. This system is alien." Black technology, this system and the magic world exist on different planes."

Led by Professor Snape, Father Lin, Mother Lin, Lin Anhei and Mr. Butler, filed into the Leaky Cauldron.

Dark and dirty, this was Lin An's first impression of the Leaky Cauldron.

"Oh, welcome to Professor Snape, you are such a rare visitor."

As soon as Professor Snape walked in, the middle-aged bald man who looked like a shriveled walnut and was probably the bar owner who was chatting with others behind the bar greeted him warmly.

"Are these new students and their parents going to Diagon Alley?" the bar owner looked at Lin An and his group curiously.

Professor Snape deadpanned: "Obviously."

"Okay, okay." The bar owner moved away and said, "Please."

Professor Snape led everyone through the bar and into the walled well. There is nothing here except a trash can and some weeds.

Lin An's eyes followed Professor Snape's wand, and he thought silently: Count three pieces from the top of the trash can, and two pieces from the side.

Professor Snape tapped his wand three times on a wall tile.

The brick he knocked on shook and began to move. A hole appeared in the middle, and the hole grew larger and larger. After a while, a wide archway appeared, leading to a winding cobbled street with no end in sight.

"Diagon Alley. Once you learn how to use magic, you can come here by yourself." Although he was a little impatient, Professor Snape still dutifully told Lin An and the others, "Don't wander around, follow me."

Professor Snape led them along the archway. Lin An looked back and saw that the archway suddenly narrowed, and then turned into the original solid wall.

Bright sunlight fell on a stack of cauldrons outside the nearest shop. There is a sign hanging above the crucible that reads:

Copper, brass, pewter, and silver crucibles, complete models, automatic stirring and foldable.

Walking on the street, Lin An looked around

The pharmacy exuded a pungent and strange smell of rotten eggs and rotten cabbage leaves. There were a few piles of dried herbs at the door, perhaps medicinal herbs. Lin An felt like dead branches and leaves.Looking through the open door of the store, one can see buckets of sticky stuff on the ground, jars of herbs, hay roots and various brightly colored powders along the walls, and hangings on the ceiling. Bundles of feathers, clusters of fangs and hairy claws.

A low and soft whine came from a dark store. The sign in front of the door read: Eela Owl Store Gray Owl, Screech Owl, Grass Owl, Brown Owl, Snowy Owl.

Several boys had their noses pressed against the glass of a display window with broomsticks on display. "Look," Lin An heard a boy, "That's the new Nimbus 2000 Top Speed"

There were shops selling robes, telescopes and curious silverware, and windows filled with baskets of bat spleens and eel eyeballs, stacks of spellbooks, quills, rolls of parchment, Medicine bottle, lunar instrument

Lin An was filled with joy and was about to wave his hand and said with great momentum: "Buy, buy, buy, I announce that today the entire Diagon Alley is contracted by me, Lin An." Behind him, Mr. Ling Butler appeared again. come out:

"Master, I consulted the staff of several merchants. At the wizard bank called Gringotts, the exchange fee between raw material gold and wizard currency is extremely low. Considering that you need to learn and

If you live for a longer period of time, I recommend that you go to Gringotts to open a private account. "

Lin An nodded: "Thank you for your hard work, Mr. Sebastian."

Mr. Butler put one hand on his chest and bowed gracefully: "It's my honor. Please allow me to remind you again that my last name is pronounced Spencer, Master."

Lin An pretended not to hear. How could the boring butler know the secrets of the house? "Professor Snape, please take us to Gringotts."

"Gringotts has arrived." Professor Snape.

They came to a snow-white building that towered high above the surrounding shops. Next to the shiny bronze door, stood a figure wearing a scarlet uniform with gold.

"Don't be nervous, that's a goblin." Professor Snape said as they walked up the white stone steps towards the man.

This goblin was about a head shorter than Lin An, with a dark face that showed intelligence, a pointed beard, and extremely long hands and feet. The goblin bowed to them as they entered. Then a second door appeared in front of them, it was silver, and the following words were engraved on the two doors:

Come in, stranger, but be careful

What is the end of insatiable greed,

Blindly ask for, get for nothing,

will be severely punished,

So if you want to take it from our underground vault

A treasure that was never yours,

Thief, you have been warned,

Be careful not to attract treasures,

But evil retribution.

The two goblins bowed to them and led them into a tall marble hall. There were about a hundred goblins sitting on high stools behind a row of long counters. Some of them were weighing coins with copper weights, and some were inspecting gems with eyepieces while making hasty entries in the large ledger. There are countless doors in the hall, leading to different places, and many fairies are guiding people coming and going in and out of these doors.

Lin An put his hands behind his back, walked up to the counter with a straight figure and stood in front of the counter. He turned his head and raised his eyelids to give Professor Snape a light look.

Professor Snape actually understood Lin An's eyes, and inexplicably pulled out his wand and lifted the spell on the four shrunken suitcases that were floating around Lin An, circling at a constant speed like satellites circling the earth.

"bang bang bang"

Regardless of how damn Professor Snape felt in his heart, Lin An patted one of the suitcases dropped on the counter and said to an idle goblin: "Morning, I want to exchange these for the wizard's currency. What's coming?"

Lin An gave himself a big thumbs up in his heart. Although he had read the original work, well, in this life, at least for now, he was still an innocent and harmless Muggle child. How could he possibly know what Gallon Sikonat was?

There was no expression on the goblin's face. He wanted to lift one of the suitcases, but it was too heavy to lift, so he stretched out a long finger and tapped it gently, and the suitcase lay flat and opened on its own.

In the glittering golden light, the goblin bent down and bowed deeply to Lin An: "Please follow me to the VIP room."

"Gold coins are Galleons. Seventeen Silver Sickles are equal to one Galleons, and 29 Copper Nuts are equal to one Sickle." After leaving Gringotts, Mother Lin was still mumbling to herself, "It's so complicated, so strange Conversion method.”

Lin An touched the ring engraved with complex magic patterns on his hand. This was given to VIPs by Gringotts for free. It was connected to the VIPs' private underground vaults. They could directly take out the coins in their vaults through the exclusive ring. It was limited to coins, and the magic ring that protected the distinguished guests from the misfortune of the cloud cart said nonchalantly: "Mother, there is no need to go to such trouble, just know that one galleung is equal to five pounds. We are rich like us. Family, don’t forget it, if you use Xi Ke, you will lose your status.”

After hearing this, Mother Lin and Father Lin couldn't help but nodded in agreement.

Mr. Butler still had a standard smile on his face.

It was an unimaginable sense of responsibility that made Professor Snape stand firm and not walk away: ""
