Blood Elf Prince of Warcraft

Chapter 409: Starting from the Underground

Walking north from Felwood, you can see burnt trees and dead animals everywhere you look.

Scattered green flames were still burning the land, and there was a piercing pain when you stepped on it.

The three of Kael'thas carefully avoided the flames and approached the outer mountains of Mount Hyjal in the evening.

This sacred mountain of the night elves has a natural defensive shield of many mountains, keeping it safe and beautiful for tens of thousands of years.

But now a black road shaped the scar of death, extending from Felwood to the mountains above, straight into the interior of Mount Hyjal.

Kael'thas could not see the other side of this road, but he could see the demons attacking the night elves' position.

"There is no other way, Your Highness, this is what the Death Knight said."

Alleria frowned and looked around, then looked at the burned road ahead and said.

Alsace had agreed with them to send people to greet them in the middle of the road. Obviously there was no other way.

Kael'thas did know that there was another cave leading to Mount Hyjal, but the cave was so narrow that it was impossible for the undead to know about it.

He took the lead and climbed up the mountainside.

There were still some low-level demons like imps playing around on the road, and Alleria and Valera took care of them easily.

Demons are different from the undead, and Kael'thas is not worried about being discovered by Archimonde and others because of these low-level demons - the only person in this world who can observe the world through the eyes of every citizen is the Lich King Nai. Ozu is a monster.

Yet even Ner'zhul's control was shaped by a certain amount of coincidence. It wouldn't be long before Illidan would shake Ner'zhul's power.

It's getting dark.Kael'thas stretched out his hand and cast the fireball spell.

The bright light emitted by the rotating fireball illuminated the road, allowing the three of them to avoid some miserable-looking corpses on the ground.

They walked halfway up the mountain.I saw a silent figure in front of me.

This is a lich. The robe covers his body, leaving only a skeletal head.

"Lord Arthas ordered me to greet you."

The lich floated in front of the three of them, with blue and strange flames coming out of its two empty eye sockets:

"Come with me."

There was no emotion in his voice, and it was so hoarse that it was impossible to tell his gender.

The three of Kael'thas followed them, holding back the disgust in their hearts.

As the altitude increased, more lichs appeared.

These monsters are floating in blue light. He was picking out the bodies of dead animals or night elves on the ground, and then resurrecting them into white bones.

These white bones burst out of the charred body, and stood up with their joints crackling.

The three of Kael'thas walked through the group of bones and felt that the air around them was unusually cold.

"Oh!"

Sudden.A leopard's body exploded next to them, and blood and flesh suddenly filled the sky.

"Ice protection!"

Kael'thas stretched out his hand to pull the two girls, and instantly opened an ice shield around him.

The round shield of frost protected the three of them, and the minced meat was kept out.

This beautiful icy blue spell has a touch of red when looking out from the inside.

"That's enough, can you guys stop?"

Kael'thas said in disgust.

He let go of Alleria's hands, and the two female elves turned pale and thanked him - no one wanted to have such disgusting minced meat stuck to their bodies.

"terribly sorry."

The lich wiped the minced meat on his head as if nothing had happened, and then ordered to the others:

"You new idiots, be careful when you cast spells!"

He turned his head, revealing the bloody skull and explained:

"Some lichs have just been resurrected. They haven't mastered the new spells well yet."

"Stop, I don't want to worry about this..."

Kael'thas was too lazy to say this, he demanded:

"Take us away quickly."

He didn't want to be around here for a moment longer.

If it weren't for the fear of hindering the trade with Arthas, Kael'thas would have burned all these undead.

"Please follow."

The Lich obeyed and moved forward faster.

He was floating forward, but the three of Kael'thas could follow him.

After more than ten minutes, the Lich stopped when he was about to reach the top of the mountain range.

"right here."

he said back.

This is a flat road upwards, no different from before.

"you sure?"

Kael'thas looked around, then frowned:

"What's in here?"

Not to mention him, even Alleria didn't find anything that needed attention using her eagle eye.

"Just wait 2 minutes and that's it."

The Lich lowered his head and answered calmly.

In order to prevent Kael'thas from becoming suspicious. The lich waited with them.

In less than 2 minutes, Kael'thas heard a strange, subtle sound, and the direction of the sound turned out to be underground.

"Step aside."

Kael'thas and Alleria took a few steps back and felt the ground shake.

boom boom...

A dull and eerie sound came from the ground, and then like a small explosion, the dirt and stones in front of them rose up.

A huge insect crawled out of the ground.

This insect is like a dung beetle, as tall as two elves. It has rows of sharp thorns on its body. Its strong and barbed carapace closely protects its body. There are countless palm-sized carrion insects like flies. Just like flying around it.

[Crypt Lord? 】

Kael'thas's eyes widened.

According to legend, there is a great insect kingdom underground in the frost continent 'Northrend'. After the appearance of the Lich King Ner'zhul, the insect kingdom failed in the war. Most of the insects were transformed and resurrected into new monsters and served the Lich King.

The Crypt Lord is one of these insect monsters.

Kael'thas' historical knowledge is not expert level. So he actually didn't know whether the crypt lord refers to just one insect, or to that type of insect.

But whatever. He even saw the origin of the insect in front of him - and was surprised by it.

When did Ner'zhul call these monsters over?

But after Kael'thas recalled it, it seemed that these guys appeared in the original Holy War on Mount Hyjal.

Instead, he forgot...

"It will open an underground road. Just follow it."

The Lich turned around and said to the three Kael'thas... Even Kael'thas couldn't help but look at Arthas with admiration.

If you want to successfully reach the heavily surrounded world tree Nordrassil, there is indeed no place more suitable than the underground - whether on the ground or in the air, it is impossible for the Burning Legion and the night elves to relax their vigilance.

But the secrets underground will not be easily discovered, let alone the Burning Legion discovering the betrayal of the undead.

Arthas, Yang or the Lich King all had good plans.

They teamed up with Kael'thas.Relying on the elves to hinder Archimonde's actions does not pose any danger.

"How long will the cave it creates last?"

Kael'thas asked.

Crypt Lords can walk underground, but that doesn't mean they can carve a road that will never collapse - this is a highly technical job.

The Lich seemed to have no idea that he would ask this question.

"and many more."

He asked Kael'thas to wait a moment, and then communicated with the master in the distance.

More than ten seconds passed. The Lich came to his senses again.

"Its body secretes mucus that fixes the soil, which can keep the cave from collapsing for half an hour."

He told the answer.

Half an hour is enough.

Although I don’t know what it will be like when I come back, at least I won’t be stuck in the mud on the way there.

Kael'thas asked his two companions, but neither of them was afraid.

"Okay, let's go."

He then proposed action to the Crypt Lord.

Although this insect cannot speak a consistent language, it can understand Kael'thas's words.

Turning his body, the Crypt Lord waved the countless thorn blades in front of him and dug into the ground with a bang.

The three of Kael'thas followed closely.

The underground passage was damp and dark, and it was impossible to see where to go.

The fireball spins. But the pressure from holding his hand for a long time gradually increased, and Kael'thas' arm began to go numb.

"Arcane Orb."

His heart moved, and then he raised the arcane ball.

Blue balls of flame flew above his shoulders and head, and gradually turned fiery red as he silently recited the spell.

The dark passage was suddenly illuminated.

But as time passed slowly, the dull air and narrow vision still made people feel more and more depressed.

Kael'thas felt that a few ten minutes had passed, but in fact it was less than 10 minutes.

"This is not okay..."

He said in a low voice.

Having a vague concept of time and not knowing the specific location and battle situation in the outside world is too passive.

Is there any way to solve this problem?

Kael'thas turned his thoughts and began to think about a solution.

"Alleria. Can you control some animals to observe the situation outside?"

he asked the female ranger.

Alleria nodded.

"If I have a pet, I can see outside through its eyes."

"But...your highness."

She turned around and looked around, smiling bitterly:

"There are no animals suitable as pets here."

There may be some creatures like groundhogs underground, but when the crypt lord takes action, who would dare to come over?

Kael'thas had no choice but to say to the insect in front of him:

"Don't move forward yet, let us go out for a while."

He estimated the time and found that his current location should still be in the forest on the edge of Mount Hyjal, and it was unlikely that he would encounter enemies.

This bug shouldn't run up to the enemy either.

The crypt lord obeyed and climbed up.

It turned over the surface of the earth, the moonlight shone in, and the clear air surged up with the scent of vegetation.

Valela ducked out and observed for a while.

"No one is safe, Your Highness."

One minute later, she made sure it was safe and let Kael'thas walk out. RQ
