[HP] Being a problem student at Hogwarts
Chapter 113 Boggart in the Closet
The disadvantage of using a time turner to travel back and forth in time is that it can easily cause problems with the perception of the passage of time. It was obviously the first Thursday of school, but Tom felt as if several weeks had passed.
Hermione was even more exhausted, carrying a heavy schoolbag and rushing around to catch up on classes every day.
"How did you do that?" Hermione asked him in a low voice with a complaining tone, "I feel like I'm about to run out of energy!"
"You didn't have time to go back to bed?" Tom was surprised.
"What?" Hermione was shocked, "We swore! It can only be used for study!"
"The body is the capital of learning." Tom said plausibly, "How can you study well without rest?"
Hermione bit her lower lip, immediately convinced.
"I have to go back and take a nap," she said tiredly. "I'm really exhausted."
"I would like to recommend the Room of Requirement to you." Tom introduced her in detail, "in case your roommate accidentally discovers a flaw."
"Thank you, Tom." Hermione picked up her school bag, "See you later."
As soon as she walked away, Ron and Harry came over. Ron looked around and asked, "Where's Hermione? Wasn't she still here just now? She will be taking Defense Against the Dark Arts soon. Where did she go?"
Tom answered him vaguely: "She forgot to take the book and will be back in a moment."
Before she finished speaking, Hermione was already standing behind them energetically: "Hi!"
Harry was startled: "Didn't you go back to get the book? You moved really fast."
"What?" Hermione quickly changed the subject, "Let's go, we haven't had Professor Lupin's class yet."
When they arrived at the classroom, Professor Lupine hadn't come yet - he walked into the classroom on the sound of the bell, put his tattered suitcase on the desk, and smiled at everyone: "Good afternoon , please put all your books away. Today is a practical class, you only need your magic wand."
The students exchanged glances below. They were no strangers to practical Defense Against the Dark Arts classes. Lockhart's first class had brought them a cage of very mischievous elves.
"I guess there's a secret in that suitcase of his," Harry said as Lupine only carried his suitcase.
He guessed wrong.
"Line up in the corridor and follow me." Lu Ping ordered after watching everyone put away their schoolbags. He led the class down the deserted corridor and turned a corner. There, the first thing they saw was the prankster Peeves, floating in the air with his head downwards, concentrating on trying to stuff gum into the keyhole.
It wasn't until Professor Lupine approached it that it raised its head and looked at him in a twisted posture, then wriggled its toes and sang: "Stupid and confused Lupine~Stupid and confused Lupin~" "
"If I were you, Peeves, I would take the gum out of the keyhole," said Lupine in a light-hearted tone. "Mr. Filch can't go in and get the broom."
Although Peeves has always been naughty and undisciplined, he still has some respect for the teacher. But today it was unusually rude to Lupine. Even though Lupine tried to persuade it so kindly, it did not listen. Instead, it spat at Lupine contemptuously.
Lupine smiled and sighed, pulling his wand out of his pocket.
"An interesting little spell, very practical." He turned back to the children and said, "Please watch it."
He raised his wand flatly, pointed at Peeves and said, "Wadi Wasi!"
The small piece of chewing gum immediately ejected and shot directly into Peeves' nostrils. Peeves cursed loudly as he rose steeply and turned sharply away.
"Wow." The students sighed, and they suddenly felt a little respect for the ragged professor.
Professor Lupine led them into the second corridor and led them into the faculty lounge. Professor Snape was sitting inside, watching the children walk in with a sarcastic smile - Neville almost wanted to turn around and run away when he saw him.
"Hello, Professor Snape." Tom greeted him. Several other Slytherin students quickly followed to say hello to their dean. Students from other colleges fell further behind and sparsely greeted each other.
Snape snorted in response to them. 7K妏揩
"There's no need to close the door, Lupin, I'd better not look at it." He stood up and walked slowly in front of the class, the corners of his black robe fluttering behind him. "No one may have warned you, Lupin, but Mr. Neville Longbottom is in this class. I advise you not to ask him to do anything difficult unless Miss Granger whispers instructions in his ear. "
He was feeling weird about Hermione secretly instructing Neville to brew the shrinking potion during Potions class this morning.
Neville's eyes welled up with tears. Harry looked at Snape with disapproval - Snape's face suddenly lost expression, strode out, and closed the door forcefully.
"Ah, what a pity." Professor Lupine raised his eyebrows and said, "I was originally going to tell him that Mr. Neville Longbottom is my assistant for the first stage of this class." He motioned for the whole class to follow him to the teacher. Next to the old wardrobe in the lounge, as soon as I walked over, the wardrobe shook violently and banged against the wall.
"What!" Dean shouted, "Is there someone hiding inside?"
"Don't worry," Professor Lupin said calmly, "There's a Boggart in there."
"What?" Harry asked blankly.
"Boggart, a shape-shifting monster." Hermione said, "It can take on any form it thinks will scare people the most."
"Well said. You are -" Professor Lupine looked at her.
"Hermione Granger." Hermione said with suppressed excitement.
"Very well, Miss Granger. I couldn't have said it better myself. Two points for Gryffindor." Professor Lupine asked Hermione to come to the front and loudly introduced the knowledge of Boggarts to the whole class. Again.
"Right now, this Boggart is hiding in the closet. Unfortunately, we can't know what they look like when they are alone." Professor Lupine signaled Hermione to go back, "But wait until I let it out. When it happens, it immediately becomes what each of us fears the most.”
"So, they can read minds?" Tom asked.
"In a sense, yes." Professor Lupine glanced at him in surprise.
"We have a huge advantage over the Boggarts here. Can you find that advantage, Harry?"
Harry did not have this experience at first, but he gradually began to realize this - when his parents' friends were his teachers, they would especially like to ask him questions and pay attention to his learning status.
"Uh..." Harry said unconfidently, "Is it because there are so many of us? It doesn't know what it should look like?"
"Excellent, Harry." Lupine praised, "When dealing with Boggarts, the best way is to have more people. Boggarts are not smart monsters. Their minds can be easily confused. Once there are too many, they are not sure what they should look like. Once I saw a boggart make this mistake, trying to scare two people at the same time, so he turned himself into half a slug." He laughed.
Ron didn't find anything funny.
"If he had vomited half a slug, he wouldn't be able to laugh at it now!" he said angrily.
Hermione stretched her neck, suppressing the urge to vomit.
"Don't mention that again!" she warned in a low voice.
