Osborne Megacorp

Chapter 56 Osborne’s Private Armed Team

"Are you going to the Stark Expo?"

Hurley's face was full of surprise, and his expression was like that of a mother who found out that her son, who had not been out for several months, decided to go out to participate in club activities.

Stark invited Harry before the expo, but Harry did not say whether he would go on stage to speak, so the expo did not have a special Osborne show - a speech display like Tony's.

He even missed the opening ceremony, for which Hurley always felt that Harry was too willful.

The fair is in New York and nowhere else.

So now, when Harry asked to go to the Stark Expo, she felt like she'd seen a ghost.

"What's wrong? I didn't refuse before, but there are too many things."

Harry wasn't lying.

As for participating in the expo midway... Not to mention that Harry is a well-connected person, Osborn Enterprises even has to stabilize the Stark Industries in the transition period, and is a heavyweight exhibitor.

It’s totally okay to jump in line.

"Well, although it's a little late, it's a good thing that you are willing to go on stage to show off the company's products. I will contact Ms. Potts right away."

"Well, besides, I'm going to bring some sets of power armor with me this time."

"Displaying power armor at Iron Man's expo?"

Hurley didn't understand.

But the power armor that Harry wanted to display did not conflict with the steel suit at all. The main purpose of letting them display the power armor was to show off Osborn's personal weapons and get them used up.

Frank has recruited several veterans - most of them physically disabled.

After accepting the Osborne Group's truly high-tech prosthetics, they were willing to work for Osborne.

Harry does not plan to let them participate directly in the exhibition, but will clear the area to protect the public when Hammer Industries makes a big splash at the exhibition.

"Yes, I am not the only one going to the exhibition this time. I will take Frank with me, and I will ask him to report the specific list to you."

Ding dong.

The office door opened automatically, and Frank arrived, holding a document in his hand.

"Frank is here, just in time. Ask him to give you the personnel list now."

Frank's mental state is quite good, at least much better than in the TV series.

"Here's the combat roster, Ms. Rachel,"

After taking the list, something was obviously wrong with Hurley's expression. He looked at Frank and then at Harry:

"Combatants? We are going to the expo..."

"Sorry, I'm used to it. It's the list of security personnel, Ms. Rachel." Under Harry's eyes, Frank changed the word and said it again.

"Yes, security personnel, remember I told you that the company would set up a security department? Maybe it will develop into a security company in the future." Harry spread his hands.

"Another big expense, right?" Hurry tapped the pen on the noteboard and added the matter to the memo.

"Frank, let's go see your good brother." Harry stood up.

"Okay, boss, they want to see you too."

.....

Frank recruited a total of 40 people in the first batch, one of whom was his good friend-Curtis Hoyle, a black man, a trustworthy military doctor who once worked with him in the Cerberus team.

Curtis' left leg was injured on the battlefield and he was basically half lame. After retiring, he sold insurance.

He and Frank have a good relationship and have been in contact since retiring.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Osborne." Curtis came forward with the recruits.

"Nice to meet you too, you are all great people." Harry smiled and shook Curtis's hand.

Hearing this, the recruits laughed instead.

"Sir, you are the first person to say this. Better people will only say that we are great soldiers."

"Is this a conflict? No conflict." Harry smiled and sat down in front of the recruits.

"You all go to the battlefield with faith in your heart, so you are people of faith."

The soldiers smiled and said nothing.

Maybe it was like this before, but going to the battlefield and not going to the battlefield are two different things.

"But you went to the battlefield and survived. In the eyes of most Americans, the war is just a series of good news in the newspapers. You are the only ones who see the truth."

"So regardless of what you think, I think you're the ones who have validated your beliefs - whether you feel like you've been lied to or whatever."

The soldiers were silent. What Harry said was true.

The U.S. government deceives people through lies that they are fighting a just war, but it is obvious that this is not the case.

The media promotes American troops as heroes, but heroes are not treated that way.

"So, now that you have determined your beliefs, at least you know what you want."

"Shouldn't that be a bad thing? This is not like a conscription declaration." After the words fell, many people laughed.

"I was drafted by a private military contractor, and they told me that the country had invested millions of dollars in me and that I should go fight and kill people, and I said, 'Fuck you.'"

These soldiers obviously understood this story very well, and most of them laughed in unison, but their laughter was somewhat helpless.

Harry smiled too.

"Look, I won't lie to you like this, telling you that the war is fought for your beliefs or the gratitude of others. The Crusades have ended long ago."

"What I want to tell you is that here at Osborne, you are using your skills to earn dollars, not for American beliefs or other things, and Osborne offers you the highest price."

The soldiers looked at each other for a few times but said nothing.

"Of course, help protect the world sometimes."

"Hey, boss, you promised not to lie to us."

Harry shrugged. It's up to you to believe it or not, but that's the truth anyway.

The atmosphere was harmonious. Harry took a cursory glance at the soldiers. Most of them had leg injuries. Osborn provided them with undisclosed versions of military prostheses.

However, the function of prosthetic limbs is relatively simple, mainly enhancing movement ability.

After all, they will have unified combat armor, and flashy prosthetics are not the first choice on the battlefield.

"Where did you find these good brothers?" Harry asked Frank.

"The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, I have a familiar friend there - Desmond Doss. When he heard that Osborne was going to help them solve the problems of these veterans, he became very happy."

"That legendary World War II medic? You have a lot of connections. You've checked their origins, right?"

Frank shrugged at Harry's words.

"Of course, besides, no one cares about these physically disabled veterans. The National Security Agency, CIA and FBI all look down upon them."

This is true.

A mentally sound and physically intact veteran may receive invitations from these organizations after retirement, especially a veteran with outstanding merits like Frank.

But those with physical disabilities are often not so lucky, and usually physical disabilities are more likely to cause mental problems, making it difficult for them to integrate into society in various aspects.

But most of the veterans Frank found were experienced and capable - considering the battles they had experienced, it was a miracle that they were only physically disabled.

"I also have a good brother who now runs a private armed company. He is interested in providing us with some excellent soldiers, but I think I should consult with you first."

Frank's good brother, the Private Arms Company... Harry shook his head.

"Chopping board? Let's forget it."

Frank doesn’t know it yet, but this good brother is the kind of person who gets in between the brothers.
